  1. Hey @Boby , to answer your question: both my Tena and Molicare diapers do indeed have double tapes. So there is room for one mistake if I get the tapes in the wrong place. Thing is, I don’t like using the double tapes for that purpose. The double tapes let you remove the diaper and put it on again if you need to, and I like to have that option available to me. I don’t do #2 in my diapers and in fact I only occasionally do #1, so being able to take it off and on is important for me.
  2. I put my diapers on standing up. All these years I’ve done the bottom tape first. I just tried top tape first. Total revelation! I’m currently in my best-fitted diaper in living memory. So much better. Thanks for the tip @Boby !
  3. Re: posting to old threads, I have no problem with it. The ever-popular “what diaper are you wearing now” thread is 3 years old now and nobody seems to mind. There are other recurring topics like who have you told/how was your first time/why am I a DL. I see no reason to create a new thread each time. Maybe the solution is for these topics to be pinned so that they’re always visible? Re: wearing in public, I have done so for years, but today was a milestone: I wet in public for the first time. Just wanted to try it for kicks to see how it felt. Was a bit weird. Kept checking my jeans to make sure I hadn’t leaked. I went home soon afterwards and took the diaper off straight away. Probably won’t do it again.
  4. @Little BabyDoll Christine, that is a good point. I never thought of it before but you’re right. I binge on other things too. I get interested in certain topics or certain hobbies and pursue them obsessively for a while, then I move on. I guess diapers might be just another thing I binge on.
  5. When I’m putting on a diaper, I spend quite some time before deciding where to put the tapes. It’s a point of no return, at least for the diapers that I use (Tenas and Molicares). If you get it wrong, it’s too bad because you can’t move the tapes without tearing the backsheet. And I am very particular about getting my diaper taped just right. I want it totally symmetrical, snug but not too tight, and I want it neat and tidy, without it looking scrunched up. So that moment of placing the tapes is totally key. Just thought I’d share. Anyone else relate?
  6. I am little unusual in that I usually don’t wet my diaper. For me, it’s all about the wearing, not the wetting. But I do occasionally wet, and I would say the enjoyment comes from the wetting providing a further reminder that I am in a diaper. I like to be constantly aware of the sensations of being diapered: the thickness of the padding, the crinkle of the plastic, the warmth. Wetting is one more sensation that I (occasionally) like to add to that list.
  7. Thanks for the tip, @dondl2. You’re right: I had exactly that problem yesterday. I’ll try your technique today. That small problem aside, I love the Molicares. They are my new favourite diaper. Just the right amount of thickness for me. Enough padding that it feels like I’m in a diaper when I’m wearing one, but without so much that I have to waddle.
  8. When I first started wearing diapers, I went through the classic binge/purge cycle. When I purged, I would feel disgusted with myself, throw out my stash and swear I’d never touch a diaper again. Until of course, the urge returned. These days, I still binge. At some point during the binge (usually after a week or so), the desire to wear disappears and the binge ends. The difference now is that I know and accept I’ll want to wear again at some point, so I don’t throw out my stash. I also no longer feel disgusted with myself. In between binges, the thought of wearing is just… meh. So I’ve gone from binge/purge to binge/meh. Anyone else like that?
  9. I have worn to work many times. I find it a bit stressful. I keep checking to make sure my diaper isn’t visible above my waistline. Which raises the question: why do I do it? I would say two reasons: firstly I get a kick out of the adrenaline. Secondly, when I’m going through a diaper-wearing period (I binge on them occasionally rather than wearing constantly), I find NOT wearing to be more stressful than wearing.
  10. Ok @Dartplayerinwvc, you convinced me. Behold my single-fold Molicare diaper.
  11. Re folds: Mine aren’t folded like the photo you sent. They are folded in half, not in thirds. Re privacy: phones tag your photos with location and other details that can identify you. I’m sure there’s a way to remove that data, but I don’t really want to try figuring it all out. I prefer to stay anonymous ☺️
  12. @Dartplayerinwvc, they are Molicare Slip Maxi. Reluctant to post a photo for privacy reasons but if you picture the diaper folded in half, rather than into thirds, then you get the idea. Looking at the review on Diapermetrics, it would seem that in the past these diapers had two folds. So I’m guessing it’s a recent change to the way they are packing them. As I say, I like it because it makes the diaper look huge, which is cool. But the downside is that it would make it hard to store spares in a bag/backpack if that’s your thing.
  13. I only indulge my diaper fetish every few months or so and I just bought some diapers for the first time in a while. Some Molicares, to be exact. I was surprised to see that they only had one fold instead of the two folds I’m used to. Is this a thing now? Or is it just Molicares? With only one fold, they look enormous coming out of the pack. I was thinking: I’m going to be wearing THAT? I’m not complaining. In fact it was kind of cool.
  14. When I was young, baby diapers were plastic-backed, and I developed a fetish specifically for plastic-backed diapers. But baby diapers all went cloth-backed a while back now. So I’m curious to know whether younger DLs go for cloth-backed diapers. Or if the youngsters prefer plastic-backed, then why/how is this, since presumably you didn’t grow up seeing plastic-backed? Any youngsters among us care to comment on this?
  15. I love reading first diaper stories. I started out buying baby diapers and stuffing them down the front of my crotch. With a bit of imagination, I could pretend I was wearing them. Then I discovered that adult diapers existed. My first pack was Tena Slip Maxi. They felt amazing. I still wear them to this day. I’m in one right now.
  16. I have never allowed anyone to see me in my diapers (unless you count a couple of accidental sightings, but that’s another story). But recently I’ve been thinking it might be interesting to go to a diaper meetup. I am curious to hear about other people’s experiences. Have you ever been to one? What was it like? Was it weird at first letting other people see you in a diaper?
  17. That’s not what I was saying. I am sure there were DLs before the internet. Indeed my own interest in diapers predates the internet. But I doubt I personally would have *acted* on that interest had I not discovered, via the internet, that were others like me. I am just interested in hearing other people’s perspectives on this. People who want to make snarky comments could perhaps find another thread.
  18. I’m in a Tena Slip Active Fit Ultima. I have tried many other brands but I always come back to the Tenas. They are the last remaining plastic-backed diapers that Tena makes. Really hope they keep making them!
  19. I sometimes wonder whether I would have acted on my diaper desires if I had never been exposed to the internet. Yes, I have been interested in diapers since early childhood, and yes I did once or twice experiment with makeshift diapers while growing up. But it was only after I stumbled across a reference to diaper fetishes on the internet and realised that it is “a thing” that I decided to wear some real diapers. I think I needed the validation that I wasn’t the only person in the world who liked them before I could truly act on the interest. I also suspect I would have repressed any diaper thoughts had I not known there were others out there. And without the internet, I think the chances I would have ever discovered this are zero. Interested in other people’s perspectives.
  20. I don’t wear all the time. Maybe once a week. But when I’m not wearing, I often wish I was. I’m interested to hear how people would describe that feeling of wanting to be a diaper when you’re not wearing one. For me it’s kind of an anxious feeling. Like I’m incomplete without a diaper. On a related note, I also get “diaper stash anxiety” when my stash runs out. Just knowing I have a stash ready for when I want to wear is important. Curious to hear whether others get this.
  21. Each part of a diaper has its unique appeal. The part between my legs feels thick and is a constant reminder I am wearing a diaper. The front is the visual part that I see when I look down at my diaper. But if I had to pick one part that is my favourite, it is the back. I like to rub and pat the back. It is the most sensual part of the diaper for me. Do other people have a favourite part?
  22. This is a question for people who grew up in countries like the UK or Australia, where people say “nappies” instead of “diapers”. My question is: what is your word of choice? Do you wear “diapers” or “nappies”? And why? Personally I am in the “diaper” camp even though I live in a country where they are known as nappies. I don’t know exactly why. I would guess that it is because when I first discovered internet sites devoted to our fetish, they were American and so referred to them as diapers. I guess I got used to it and now it feels weird to say “nappies”.
  23. Like so many other here, I have been interested in diapers for as long as I can remember. The trigger that got me wearing them as an adult was discovering that other people liked diapers too. I will never forget that moment. I saw a reference to diaper fetishes on the internet. I wasn’t searching for it; I just happened to see a list of chat rooms, and one of them was a chat room for diaper lovers. I was totally amazed to discover that other people liked diapers, and from that moment became obsessed with the idea of wearing them. I often wonder if I would have worn diapers if I hadn’t known there were others into it too. I think the answer is probably not. I would have suppressed the desire.
  24. As a follow-up to my original post: after a week wearing those huge Littleforbigs, I just bought a pack of plastic-backed Tenas. In comparison the Tenas feel like regular underwear! I can barely even notice I’m wearing a diaper. It’s slightly underwhelming. Just goes to show it’s what you get used to. Anyway, I’m going to stick with the Tenas for the time being.
  25. After years of using medical diapers, I tried ABDL diapers for the first time this week. Specifically I got plain white Littleforbigs. I have to say I don’t really like them. I didn’t think a diaper could be too thick for me, but they are too thick. Also the plastic on the front is too hard for my liking. Not sure if this is typical of ABDL diapers or just the Littleforbigs, but anyway, I’ll be going back to medical diapers after this. Curious to hear other people’s views.
