I love your photos Sydney! Your framing is fine for a typical cell phone selfie, your diaper looks gorgeous, and you personally look incredibly sexy in those Huggies Pull-Ups! That's the first bit of good news.

The bad news is that there are problems with this photo, and you might be able to guess what I'm about to critique. First, you absolutely NEED to improve your lighting conditions! Use your flash, invest in an inexpensive lighting kit, pick up some cheap battery operated lights and turn them on before you take a photo, it doesn't really matter how you do it so much as it matters that you do it. One way or another you need to get more light into your cameras lens. Second, if your phone gives you a way to do this, white balance your camera. (There are plenty of good guides on what this is and how to do this online, so just jump on Google or Bing and pick the one you find the most useful.) I can tell that your camera isn't white balanced, and the lighting issues only make the lack of white balancing more noticable. Third, and this ties directly into your first problem with lighting, I don't even have to open Adobe Photoshop to tell you that your blue color channel is completely shot, and that your red color channel probably has some issues too. Fixing your lighting issue should also fix the problems with the color channels, and if done correctly, white balancing should make the color information itself more accurate.

Now for more good news. All of the problems I just described as "bad news" are strictly technical issues, and you can fix each and every one of them, and prevent them from happening again in the future. :) I know you've been busy, and that you might not have had the chance to read some of the messages that I've sent you thoroughly, but if you get the chance, please look at what I mentioned about some of your previous photos. I'd love for you to see what I've done about the color channel issue in some of your other photos, and can explain how to fix this in detail privately if need be.

Finally, please don't take my criticisms as an attack or anything, because that's not what they're meant to be. My goal is to provide you with useful feedback that you can learn from, so that you know what you're doing wrong, and so that you can improve your work in the future. (Emphasis on the word useful, just complaining that there's a problem obviously wouldn't fix anything.) Keep up the great photos though! :D
