Since I'm always curious how others got into the AB/DL lifestyle, I though I would provide my story.


Well, about the only thing that may be special about my story is how early I started.

My first memories of being a DL are when I was about 5 years old. Yes, I started very young, and I do remember back then. I was in kindergarten, and every time I was in the bathroom by myself, I would grab a diaper (the bathroom always had some) and put it on. I'd always take back off after a minute or so as I did not want to be caught, but I did get caught on occasion.

Eventually it got to the point where whenever I went to the bathroom, an adult always went with me to make sure I wouldn't take any diapers. I don't remember how, but the other kids found out as well. I certainly never told them. I'm guessing my mom was told as well, but I don't remember her ever saying or doing anything about it.

Anyway, once adults started accompanying me to the bathroom, that ended that. However I had a younger cousin, and whenever I was over at his place, I would often grab one of his diapers and put it on. I do have one memory of almost getting caught as well. I was in the closet changing when I heard my mom coming. I scrambled to take it off and get dressed, and was able to do so *barely* in time (like as the door opened).

After about age 6 or 7, it stopped. Mostly because access to diapers was impossible. Over the years I would play around with putting maxi pads in my underwear, or putting on multiple layers of underwear (cotton briefs), but that's about it.

My first year of college, nothing really changed. I was in a dorm, and it would have been impossible to hide. However my second year I lived in an apartment by myself and finally got into real adult diapers. I think I started with the Depend maximum protection, as they were store available, and the outside was plastic (which I wanted). I wore to classes every now and then, but not frequently. Since classes occupied most of my life, I didn't wear frequently at all. I did also start exploring (ordering) the heavier diapers like Abenas.

That continued for several years. There were times off and on when I had roommates, and when I did, the diaper wearing always waned.

About 6 years ago was when living with roommates ended, and things really took off. I started wearing very frequently, pretty much whenever I could. I even wore to work frequently as I had a very quiet, low risk of being caught, desk job.

For the last year, I've pretty much worn 24/7. I got a different job that's not quite as low risk, but I still wear the discrete pull-up style diapers. The only time I wear normal underwear is when visiting family, once or twice a year.

And now we're at now :-)
