June was a small three year old. She loved to play, but was quiet and shy. She was very sweet though. She loved to make people happy and always had a smile on her face.

Donna was excited, after waiting years to hear from the adoption agency and countless visits to the centre, she was finally going to be a mother.

She'd been a few times to the centre and recently met June, a 3 year old girl who ticked all the right boxes for Donna, she'd put her application in as soon as she was able to after interviews and references she'd been accepted and today was the day she could pick June up.

June looked up and nodded a little. She remembered the woman a little and the worker had told her that she'd be living with her.

Donna smiled and held onto June's hand tightly, not too tight but just enough to let her know that she was there to look after her.

June smiled and nodded. She handed over her hello kitty backpack and held Donna's hand.

Donna smiled and took hold of the backpack

June shook her head and smiled. She giggled at her new mother she seemed to be VERY nice and she liked that.

"It's got a big garden at the back for you to play in with your toys, a big tv room where we can snuggle up at night before bed, the dining room where we eat is next to that and then the kitchen is quite big so I can cook lots of things and we can bake together.

June was smiling hearing about her new home. She imagined it

"Don't be sorry June. I was just asking, there's nothing to be sorry about. Now what colour do you want your bedroom?"

June thought for a minute, trying to think.

[MummyDonna]

"Blue it is then, we'll have a look and see what else you want to put in your room, there's ready a brand new bed that looks like a princess castle and a fairy princess wardrobe to hang your clothes up"

Donna pulled up outside a large but friendly looking house and switched the engine off.

"Please don't unfasten your seatbelt, let mommy do that for you"

June was getting very excited hearing about her new room.

Donna laughed and picked June up in her arms

"It does look like a castle doesn't it, and you're the princess of the castle! I hope you'll be happy here June"

June giggled and happily let Donna carry her. She'd never been called a princess before!

She looked around in amazement as she enetered the home. Her teddy bear was close to her chest, not wanting to lose him.

Donna smiled as she carried her new daughter into the house and taking her to the kitchen.

"I like PB n' J." June said smiling.

Donna happily made the sandwich for June before turning to set it on the table, she stopped and noticed the puddle

"June, sweetie, have you had a little accident?"

June looked down at her lap and blushed a little.

Donna smiled at the little girl

"That's ok baby, mommy will help you use the potty like a big girl, ok? Come on let's get you into some dry clothes and then you can have your sandwich"

Donna helped June to her feet and led her toward the bathroom

June nodded and sucked her thumb as they walked to her new room.

"Do you like it? It will look better with the walls painted"

June nodded happily. She loved the room. she now pictured it to be pink and purple. She liked everything so much!

She let Donna change her with no fuss at all. "Pretty clothes." She said smiling down at
