NateSean
In Raisins and Almonds, one of the later books in Kerry Greenwood's Phryne Fisher mysteries, a woman is suspected of murder. Initially, the reason she's a suspect is because she wasn't honest with the inspector about why she was trying to leave her book store so quickly. During an investigation Phryne finds a package of "women's travel necessities". Since this was set in the 20's, they could just be the standard absorbent pads and not actual diapers, or incontinence pants. But the reason the woman is running from the shop is to tend to what the reader is only told is a "personal condition". Given the age of the character, it's not a stretch to say that it's a bladder complaint since she was running to the "convenience", or the public restroom. Link to comment
