Madeline followed after her just to make sure nothing happened to her. Perhaps she was too overprotective, but Raven was in danger in her situation! Hair change or not, she still had that recognisable face of hers. Amelia whined about how she was hungry, but ultimately Madeline managed to calm her down by reminding her that Raven didn't want to have accidents anymore than Amelia did.

Eventually, Raven did find the girl’s restroom and wouldn’t you believe it, there was yet another line! If there was one thing Raven couldn’t stand about public restrooms, it was the wait time! But whether she liked it or not, she had no place but to wait in line like the rest of them.

Madeline hummed and bounced Amelia as they waited. Amelia looked over at Raven curiously. "You do have accidents, don't you?" Goodness her and her loud mouth! She didn't realise what she was saying, but still, she sure could stand to learn how to lower her voice. Madeline blushed deeply, and kept her mouth shut. She said nothing about the night before. She wouldn't embarrass Raven.

Raven’s cheeks flushed red due to a mix of embarrassment and anger. “What’s that supposed to mean, huh?!” She said, regaining her combative disposition for the time being. “I don’t have accidents..” she said quietly, but still with enough venom to make her anger clear.

"That's how come you look so scared, like me. It's hard to hold it in!" She continued to whine. "Especially when you wanna play but you have to go potty, and you just wanna hold it and keep playing but you can't!" She rambled on. Madeline tried to shush her, kissing her forehead and rocking her back and forth. "Amelia, this is a private matter. Big girls don't discuss these things." She explained to the best of her abilities.

“She’s right, so shut it…” Raven said quietly but once again with just enough venom to make her rudeness apparent. But this line was taking forever! It hadn’t even moved a bit since she got in it! Raven debated leaving the line but she feared losing her spot in case it did move again.

Madeline could see the girl struggling, and she reached out a hand, giving her shoulder a squeeze. "It's alright. We're almost up." She promised. It was just amazing how she could manage to talk about the most childish of things, but not sound condescending in the slightest! Amelia looked at the line and huffed. "It's not fair we gotta wait so long, what if she has to go real bad?" She mumbled, as if speaking Raven's exact thoughts!

Raven tapped her foot impatiently before crossing her legs together. Come on people, we don’t have all day! Raven’s discomfort was made clear as she squirmed in place as she waited. Amelia knew that squirming all too well as she experienced it every day as Madeline has been potty training her. Thankfully the line started moving again which eventually allowed Raven to go potty all on her own like the big girl she was.

Amelia was happy for Raven. She could tell better than Madeline that Raven wouldn't have made it if she had to wait another minute. She clapped when Raven came out, like it was some big accomplishment! Madeline couldn't contain her laughter and just shook her head. "You're such a funny girl, Amelia." She cooed as Raven washed her hands.

Raven puffed out her cheeks and pouted as she walked out, feeling as though this fanfare for such a mundane event was entirely unnecessary. But using the bathroom really made her work up an appetite! She was ready more than anyone for lunch!

Madeline took her two lovely girls to the food court, and Amelia immediately tugged them towards the burger place. "I wanna burger and a chocolate milk shake and fries!" She listed off, buzzing with the energy of a kid about to get a big treat. "Where did you want to eat at, Raven?" She asked, reaching into her wallet. "I can give you some cash if you'd like to go somewhere else!"

“I’m fine with here. Can I get a plain burger, just the patty and the bun?” Raven requested, her picky palette rearing it’s ugly head yet again. “And can I get a shake like Amelia’s?”

Posted

Madeline nodded. "Of course you can." She said in that gracious, loving tone. They got up to the counter, and Madeline ordered for all of them. She then paid, took the ticket, and went to sit down at one of the tables to wait. She motioned Raven to follow, giving her a big, carefree smile.

“Do we have to eat here…?” Raven said to Madeline. “There’s so many people… and the tables are never clean!” She complained, clearly she hasn’t had much experience in food courts!

Posted

Madeline glanced at her, looking a bit surprised. "Well- we usually do, but if you prefer we can take it outside if you'd like?" Amelia smiled brightly. "This one's my favourite place! They got the best burgers!" Nothing could dampen this excitement.

Posted

“You guys do whatever.” She scoffed though not walking off. Raven was going to do whatever Madeline decided they were going to do. Besides, Madeline was Raven’s ride home!

Posted

Madeline soon brought them a tray with three big burgers, three big fries, and three big chocolate milkshakes with Whipped cream and cherries on top! She sat the tray down and carefully served the two girls, who had both ordered plain burgers. "Are we happy, hm?" She asked and grinned. Amelia nodded quickly. "Thank you momma!" She said quickly before chomping into her meal.

Raven winced a bit at her milkshake. It was true she forgot to say no whipped cream and no cherry, but even still she felt nervous around the stuff along with anything else she hasn’t had before! She worked on her burger for the time being, ignoring the milkshake for now.

Posted

Madeline, ever the patient saint, didn't say a thing about her ignoring her shake. She ate her own food, sipped at her shake, and watched the girls with a careful eye. "Amelia, hey!" She giggled and leaned over, wiping her face as she got chocolate on her nose and chin. Amelia squealed and shook her head.

Once Raven had finished her burger she finally figured it was time to deal with the whipped cream. She stuck her straw in her shake and drank like normal, taking special care not to drink enough to taste the whipped cream or the cherry! But Raven drank too fast! Poor thing started suffering from a brain freeze!

Posted

Madeline looked over in a panic when she heard the girl starting to whimper and shake her head. She moved to sit right by her, and checked her to make sure she wasn't choking. When she realised what was going on, she sighed in relief and just rubbed the girl's temples until the chill went away. Amelia snorted and giggled, knowing exactly what was going on.

Once the initial pain had gone away, she brushed Madeline’s hand away in a too cool for school fashion. “I’m fine… it was just a brain freeze.” Raven said, confused as to why Madeline was giving her the full medical treatment (at least that’s how it felt to Raven).

Posted

Madeline nodded slowly. "I was worried maybe you were having a reaction, or choking." She shook her head. "I'm sorry for fussing..." she said and gave her a little smile. "Momma worries ALL the time." Amelia said and giggled. "Indeed I do, little lady, so please don't talk with your mouthful, or you will choke." She said and turned to Amelia with a raised eyebrow and a grin. Amelia huffed and looked away, chewing on her big handful of fries.

Posted

“I’m fine…” Raven sighed as she backed away from Madeline’s head. She then grabbed her now empty cup and placed it inside the bag, that way it would be easier to throw out once the others were done with their meals.

They both finished up, then Madeline took the trash. "Could you watch Amelia for a moment while I go take care of this?" She asked and placed a hand on Raven's shoulder.
