From College to Diapers (private with littleben)

When he gets to the bottom of the slide, he runs to the door of the play room, but he can't open it. 

He grunts in frustration. He's a little cranky because he didn't finish his nap.

Sam: "After you put your shoes on, we'll take you to your Mommy. She's right outside"

He gets the shoes from the cubby and puts them on him. He puts his shoes on too. 

Then he opens the door.

Benny runs out to Mommy and hugs her

"Mommy! You here.

And Daddy here too"

 

He hugs Daddy too

"I'm right where you left me. I have something to show you"

She takes out her phone to show Benny a picture

 

"Kelly had her baby today.

Little Cody is here. You're going to have a new little playmate soon"

 

She shows him 2 pictures: 1 of Kelly holding him, the other of the baby wrapped in a blanket, sleeping in his isolette.

Benny sees the pictures, and he's excited

"I wanna see him, Mommy.

And pway wiff him. Does he like twains wike me?"

"We'll go see him when we get back home. 

He doesn't know about trains yet. Maybe you can teach him when he's old enough"

"Okay, Mommy. I teach him 'bout twains"

He smiles

"That's good, Sweetie.

Let's get going.

We're almost home"

 

She walks him out to the car with the rest of the family, and she takes his shorts off and straps him into his car seat. 

Bryce sits in the middle this time.

Mommy takes Benny's tablet out of his bag and puts on an episode of Sesame Street for him

"Yay Semi Stweet"

He says.

He watches for a little while until he falls asleep.

He wets in his diaper again

Daniel drives and they reach home. 

He notices Benny is still asleep, so he unbuckles him from his car seat and carries him upstairs and puts him in his crib so he can keep sleeping.

 

They have a surprise for him: They had his nursery painted green while they were gone. They also had a rocking chair put in. Their neighbors Beth & Elliott helped to coordinate this while they were gone.

They also put up a new bed in the other room for the big boys. Benny's old bed in in the other room, so now they can have a better place to sleep when they stay other than the couch. They stay over a lot. 

 

Daddy puts Benny to bed in his crib, and covers him with a blanket. 

The rest of the family brings the bags from the car and they come in and rest downstairs.

He stays asleep when he is carried upstairs

When he wakes up, he rubs his eyes and doesn't recognize this green room so he calls out:

"Mommy, Daddy. Where I am?"

Mommy hears him on the monitor and comes up to get him.

"You're back home in your room, Benny.

We had it painted green for you.

Do you like it?"

"I wike it, Mommy.

What dat chaiwr?"

"It's a rocking chair so I can have a place to sit while I feed you at night. And rock you to sleep.

Come on out of bed, you wet. Let Mommy change your diaper"

she holds her arms out

He crawls on the bed toward Mommy

Mommy picks him up and takes him to the changing table, taking off his wet diaper to start the change process

 

"Did you have a good nap, Benny?" She asks him

"Yeah, Mommy. I was in da car"

He watches Mommy as she does the change

"Yes, we were in the car, but Daddy drove us home. And you were sleeping, so he carried you up here to your crib so you could sleep"

She explains as she powders him, and puts his diaper on

 

"There we go, that must feel much better. You wet in your diaper while you were sleeping, so Mommy changed you.

The cousins are downstairs with Daddy. Let's go see them"

 

She puts him down from the table and stands him up

"Mommy. I wike dis new diapee.

I don't 'member going pee pee in my diapee. I wanna see Daddy and Bice and Sam"

 

He gets down on the floor and starts crawling behind Mommy

"Sweetie, you wet in your diaper a lot of the time, especially when you're asleep.

Babies wet in their diapers a lot. That's why you wear them.

But don't worry, because we will change you when you need it"

 

She walks down the stairs and watches as he crawls behind her

He crawls down the stairs and then gets up and runs to find Daddy 

 

"Daddy, up" he holds out his arms for Daddy to pick him up

Daddy picks him up and holds him:

"Hey, Little Man.

Did you have a good nap?"

He nods

"Yes, Daddy.

Where Bice and Sam?"

[bigbabymikey1062]

"They're outside.

We have something we want to show you outside. Let's go"

Daddy says. Mommy catches up with them.

"I wanna see!"

He says, eagerly wanting to see what they have outside, but also wanting to see the big boys
