From College to Diapers (private with littleben)

"I wike da water, Unkie.

Again, Again" he says

"I'm going to change you, then we'll go get in the water"

Ryan carries Benny back to their small shade tent where they made a makeshift changing area. There's a bit of shade, but not much privacy. They're directly behind the grown ups and their chairs. 

 

He crouches down and lays baby Benny down on the changing mat. He takes off his shorts and waterproof pants, and the smell really comes out

 

"Phew, Buddy, you really made a big stink" he says, holding his nose and making a big show of it

He untapes the diaper, lifts his legs and starts wiping him.

"I sowwy Unkie. Poo poo stinky" he giggles

"I was just playing with you, Little Guy.

You had to go. Where else would a baby go?"

 

He wipes Benny's butt until he's clean and then he puts the new diaper under him before finishing up and sliding the messy bundle away

 

Grammy turns around and looks at the two of them

"That was nice of you to clean him, Ryan. I know you might be done changing diapers any day. I know Luke is making a little bit of progress on the potty'

 

Ryan: "It's no problem, Mom. I was closer so I offered"

(Calls his mother in law Mom)

He answers Uncle's question:

"Um, potty wike how Wuke go? Baby go potty? How baby go potty?"

He has forgotten how to go potty, he just heard them talking about Luke going

Ryan: "Oh no, Benny. You're much too young to use the potty. 

Your Mommy told me how much trouble you had going to the potty. And now you wear your diapers. She said you like using your diapers. 

Keep playing with your toy. I'll be done in a second"

 

He says to him

Benny nods and plays with his toy

 

"I wike my diapees, Unkie. It feel good. 

Auntie put me in one wiff a wolfie on it"

"I'm putting you on one with a wolf on it too"

He powders Benny and tapes up the diaper

He looks down at it, and tries to crawl away in just his diaper

"Almost done, Baby boy" he says. He fixes Benny's pants

The family plays on the beach for a couple more hours, Grammy orders them sandwiches and chips from King's. 

After lunch, Mommy hoses Benny off, and Lauren does the same with Luke

They bring the boys back to the house for nap time. 

Megan lays Benny on the changing table to change him into a fresh diaper for nap time because he wet some more, and Lauren has Luke try on the potty, even though he wet in his pull up on the beach.

 

She straps Benny down and asks him: "Did you have a good time at the beach, honey?"

"I had good time. I wanna go back to beech, Mommy.

What we doing hewe?"

"Well we came back so you could get num nums and a nap. We'll go back to the beach later"

 

She takes his beach clothes off, but doesn't change his diaper yet. He wet again, but she'll change him after she feeds. 

She holds him on the couch, offering him a bottle this time. She likes nursing, but doesn't want to offer it to him all the time. Plus, she put some regression powder in the bottle to make sure he's still on track with his regression course. 

She holds him on the couch so they can still bond, and holds the bottle close to his mouth

Benny lays back and drinks his bottle. He wanted it fresh from Mommy, but this is nice too. 

He drinks and wets some more in his diaper.

After he finishes his bottle, she carries him to the changing table and straps him down

"I'll get you all cleaned up, and then I'll put you down for a nap"

 

She untapes him and lifts his legs like usual

"Mommy, how long I gonna be in diapees for?"

 

He asks innocently. He likes them, but maybe they'll potty train him someday like they are doing for Luke. Mommy is even helping them with that, he saw a few times.

She thinks about it while she starts wiping him 

 

"Well, Benny, not much longer in this one. You wet in it, so I'm putting you in a dry one. 

But you'll be in diapers for as long as you need them. As long as you wet and make poopies in them, that's how long you'll be in them.

You haven't asked to use the toilet since we put you in diapers almost a week ago. 

But as long as you need diapers, we'll be changing you: me, daddy, aunt, uncle, grammy, babysitters, whoever is in charge at the time.

Going potty is hard work, wiping is even harder. Luke is going to have a hard time going from diapers to big boy undies"

 

She powders and tapes his diaper up

"Mommy, I wike my diapees. I don't wanna go potty. 

Wuke get Paw Patol on him and we was matching cause I gots a wolf too. 

But I wike when Mommy put me diapee on cause when some peoples do it, they put the stwap up here"

 

*He touches up high on the diaper to show her*

"And it be itching me. And dat is not feel good, Mommy"

 

He does his best to tell his Mommy about his little problem

"Oh, okay, honey. Thought you wanted out of diapers. I'll tell everyone not to put the straps on you so high so you can be comfy in your diapers, okay?

I can put your pajamas on for your nap"

 

She takes his pajamas out of the drawer and starts to dress him in them

He watches Mommy dress him and pays attention for his turn to zip. He finally gets to.

She puts him in the crib with Winnie and says "have a good nap, Sweetie". 

She leaves the door open so she can hear him, and she stays in the home to relax

Lauren has Luke nap in their room because he won't be asleep as long

Benny falls asleep. Soon after.

He wets in his diaper twice in his sleep

Mommy goes back outside, and Daddy comes back inside to get Benny up from his nap

He changes him into a fresh diaper, and takes him back out to the beach for some evening fun.

Benny has fun, and asks Mommy if he can have num nums for dinner

"You can have them after you have your finger foods, Sweetie. We're having leftovers from the other night when Daddy cooked on the grill. 

Would you like a hot dog or hamburger?"

"a burger, Mommy. But how Grammy maked it.

Wiff cheese and the extra stuffs on it"
