Funny, I was trying to find this story on BBC News, as they've been running a piece on the TV about this too - I watched News24 when the article was on and they had some lady in from WRAP. At one point the male presenter - who was enjoying the feel of the (very nice looking) cloth diaper - actually rubbing it against his cheek, saying "It feels so soft!"

Anyways, the research is inaccurate and out of date, and is being re-done as we speak. It assumes every diaper is washed at 100c and tumble dried. This isn't the case anymore.
