A New Start For Jen (Private for me and JenAndTonic)

When Katie turned and saw her, Jen could tell she was a little surprised to see her friend standing in a big neon pink tee shirt and her Drynite holding onto her bunny. No time to turn back, Jen told herself. Fake it till we make it. Jen padded over to Katie and sat down beside her on the couch. Instinctively she wriggled her way under Katie's arm and into a snuggle.

Katie smiles as Jen or was it Jenny sitting next to her and lifts her arm so now she is snuggling her closely, Katie decides to limit the big girl talk and then the two of them could play together. "I am glad to hear sweetie I was a little worried. I understand sweetie. I want to at the end of this week get you ready for University also I was looking into what it would take for you to to be able t extend your visa, for a second year and with me sponsoring you and as long as you keep good grades it should be no trouble." Katie asks Jen.

Jenny lit up at the thought of staying with Katie for another year. Jen was a bit more reserved. Her stay was for one year to cover her minor in depth so she could focus on whatever 'practical' major sounded most bearable when she got back to the States. She would need to speak with the counselors at both her University here and the one she was technically a student at in the United States to see how to do that.

Katie continues to give affection too her best friend and little girl in her arms as she thinks over what must be a big decision that she is facing. Katie kind of guessed that she would need to take her time to think it though and also get the needed permissions from her universities and of course her evil parents, which of course Katie felt the need to get poor Jenny ad Jen away from them.

"Um...I don;t know." Jenny had to admit. "We played legos yesterday and played outside earlier." She thought for a moment, "what does Lucy like to play with you?"

"Well she loves her dolls, she loves to play dress up oh and simple board games too" Katie says in reply "Does any of those options sound fun to you?"

"I think doll's maybe? That might be a fun place to start."

Gets the dolls out and there accessories too opening the boxes spreading out them on the floor "Here we go sweetie"

Jenny may have sat down on the floor when Katie began to get the dolls out, but Jen was sitting there when Katie was finished.

Katie sat Jen next to her and shows her how Lucy and her play with the dolls, showing her that it requires some imagination that it is a real baby.

To say Jenny was experiencing cognitive dissonance would be an understatement. Even if Jen's younger self knew what that meant she might have agreed with the statement. She was a teenager, pretending to be a little kid with her best friend as her surrogate "Auntie", who was also pretending at the same time to be mommies with her best friend to two baby dolls. It made it a little hard to fit herself into the roll. Jen slowly began to slide into her roll by repeating what she had done in the Wendy House earlier, her mommy was her parroting Katie. Katie was doing her best to engage Jen's Jenny-self but was having a difficult time getting it out.

Katie and Jenny for ages together both having a lot of fun, Katie can see Jenny shining though in little bits as they play with Jenny's dolls. Katie could see signs that Jenny would soon need to go to the toilet but wanted to see if she could notice and make it in time following the advice she got online. After a while Jenny got up onto her her feet before excusing herself and going upstairs to go use the toilet, she follows behind her she she can be there for the little girl when she makes it and uses the toilet. Katie hears her pull down the drynites and sit down on the toilet using it and hears her once she finishes redressing and flushing the toilet. Katie enter the bathroom making a big fuss to reward her for being a big girl hugging and kissing her before she washes and dries Jenny's hands and carries her downstairs while hugging her, hoping that Jenny feels special as she deserves to be made a fuss off like a real toddler. Katie gets the potty training chart out placing another sticker on the chart showing Jenny how proud she was of her, she puts the chart away and then she takes the little girl back to the living room to play once more until dinner time.

Katie's effusive praise was intoxicating and Jenny drunk it in deeply. For the first time since her accident earlier, Jenny was back in charge and Jen was happy to be along for the ride. As much as Jenny basked in the glory of getting a smiley face sticker on her potty chart, Jen was just glad that Katie wasn't also putting up frowney faces; at the moment the two would probably be equal. Even playing with the dolls was fun once the two got back downstairs. Jenny got to play the dutiful big sister and loved helping her 'mommy' take care of the babies.

"Right lets get us something to eat I will make us cheese sandwiches, a banana and some crisps (Potato Chips)" Katie says snuggling Jenny and carries her into the kitchen, she sits Jenny on the worktop while she gathered the supplies needed to make them there yummy lunch. "Want to help auntie make lunch sweetie? What flavour crisps would you like?" Katie asks Jenny wanting to engage her like she would Lucy, Lucy loves helping out to make lunch.

Jenny sat on the counter top swinging her feet in the air. Her feet not touching the floor just reinforced her sense of smallness that seemed to strengthen her Jenny-self more than anything. Jen still did her best to hand on though. While she secretly didn't mind using the Drynite around her waist, she didn't want to have another accident like earlier when she didn't even realize she needed to go. As much as she wanted to succumb to the sweet joy that was just being Jenny, Jen had to keep in some degree of control.

Katie gathered the stuff together and started making the food while singing a song to herself mainly to see if Jenny knew it and would join in too. When she was done she cut the sandwiches into four triangles for Jen and unpeeled the banana and cut it in two for Jenny before getting a packet of roast chicken crisps for her too. Katie helped Jenny to the floor and then carried her plate into the dining room for her helping her to sit before getting her own lunch too and sitting down to eat next to Jenny "There's a good little girl now eat it all up so your grow up big and strong", it was one of those little lies adults told toddlers and small children out of fun more than anything else.

Jenny sat in the booster chair for a second time that day, eating her belated lunch. The crisps were salty and addictive and she tore through the package quickly. Katie had been indulging her but Jen knew in her big girl mind that she would need to start eating healthier soon, Jenny meanwhile didn't care about counting calories and splurged on the long denied kiddie favorites she'd had over the past few days.

Katie sat there keeping her eyes on Jenny as she ate her food properly and slowly. She was enjoying her simple meal and the company provided by Jenny her best friend, not the get other other friends wrong but Katie was certainly closest to Jenny for some reason they just seamed to click despite the age gap. Katie had no plan to stop the food treats for Jenny but she would certainly

While Jenny certainly didn't expect Katie to realize she needed to use the potty, she was certainly thankful that Katie excused her.

Katie goes and puts the dishes in the sink and also makes them both a drink of juice putting Jenny's in her sippy cup.

Jenny sucked on her juice while she listened to Katie. New toy's appealed to the inner toddler and playing with a real little girl appealed doubly so.

Katie knew she should not push the matter but she really need to know what was up she she took Jenny by her hand and lead her to the bathroom, sweetie if you have big girl problems I need to see to make sure you do not get hurt by it sweetie as auntie does not want her little girl getting ill. She undresses Jenny pulling down her drynite and sees the nappy rash "Sweetie you have a nappy rash I need to get some cream on it please just stay there and auntie will make it all better" she explains, Katie grabs the rash cream and starts applying it to Jenny's front and back nappy rashes. "Auntie is not mad at you just disappointed you never told her me you had a rash, and now it has gotten bad sweetie and it must be hurting you really bad" Katie explains to the little girl.

In that moment, Jenny felt as low and as little as she ever had. She had tried her to keep Katie from finding out about her rash but her efforts had been in vain. Worse yet was Katie's response. Jenny could have handled Katie screaming and yelling at her over being told that her surrogate big sister and her adoptive Auntie was disappointed in her. Jen and Jenny both started to cry once Katie said that. In a single moment, Katie had made her big girl, Jen-self pride sting more than her bottom did. Jenny was inconsolable as well. Two people in one body collapsed into Katie's arms. Neither wanted to admit the infantile emotions they felt as they buried themselves into their guardian.

Katie washes and dries her hands quickly before lifting Jenny into her arms and snuggle carrying her to the living room, where Katie sat down on settee (couch), she places Jenny in her lap offering her her soother and bunny as she snuggles and kisses the poor crying little girl in her lap. Katie coos to Jenny while rubbing her back and continuing to try soothing her in the hopes that the little girl in her lap will be comforted enough to relax and maybe calm down, "Sweetie auntie Katie make it all better I am sorry you have a rash from now on auntie will use baby powder to reduce chances of a rash" She explains trying to say something that the little girl might find comfort in.

It took some coaxing, but finally Jenny calmed down. She wasn't thrilled about having to use baby powder and having Katie apply cream to her bottom may have been one of the most embarrassing, traumatizing things she'd ever experienced. Still, the reassuring touch of her best friend was able to get Jenny under control. Jen was just as eager to put the whole incident behind her but couldn't. It would have been one thing if Katie gave her the cream and let her apply it like an adult, but to do it for her was almost insulting to her teen sensibilities. Jen liked even less that if she did have another accident she'd have to go to Katie for help with it. It was fun to play little girl but Jen worried that two of the 'people' involved in the whole process were enjoying it more than she was. Katie came alive as Jenny's adoring Auntie and Jenny savored the attention and love. Jen worried it didn't leave much room for her though.
