i traded for breast milk today. the idea of drinking breast milk is more then taste . the milk was watery not as flavor full as i thought it would be.

Is there any concern about the possibility of contaminates in the breast milk?

If you're only doing it for the taste, I don't know about the effects of pasteurization. Some of the supposed health benefits of breast milk are attributed to its live cultures and even living immune cells from the 'mother', which pasteurization would destroy - along with many delicate nutrient compounds.

However, breast milk lacks sterile and antiseptic properties if a nursing mother is infected with certain communicable diseases, such as HIV and CMV, as breast milk can transmit such diseases to infants and other people.
