The electrical socket outlet where my pc is plugged in was making loud buzzing/sizzling sound and was arcing inside.

So had to turn off the upstairs mcb until the it could be fixed.

Replaced the socket and disconnected the fcu spur and found socket once had something like cola split inside it corroding it's terminals. Plus the wires were loose. Fcu spur switch contacts were worn out, had loose wires and even had the plastic starting to melt inside. Which was a fire waiting to happen, strange that didn't blow it's fuse or trip the mcb. Then again the UK doesn't have AFCI unlike the USA.
