midl2006
You can always try k-melon. Its a Mozilla based web browser that has very light requirements. it even still runs on windows 98. I have this running on a computer at a golf course running Windows 98, 500MHz P3, 256 ram just as a weather radar machine. Link to comment
belinda_sue_fox
How old is that computer? I've got a 10 year old Dell laptop that my parents bought me when I left for college. I upgraded the RAM about 5 years ago, and it runs the internet just fine. No wonder there is so many problems with the internet if it's all running on a 10 year old Dell Link to comment
Marcuss
Internet connectivity in the US generally sucks big time. Fibre to the home is coming (or fibre to the cabinet, I forget which) slooooooowly and expensively to a few locations but generally compared to other countries, speeds are horrible and prices are eye-watering. Yeh fiber generally speeds things up Link to comment
