chara003
Does anyone have any experience of the tena basic/original slip, they are 6.5 drop rating, can't find any info on the tena website and they rent very common, anyone known what they're like, you can see them here http://www.airoliver.de/save/index.php?cat=004&product=210899&sidSAVEEXPRESS=hhnhobpse3kea8ph2dfsqt97o4 http://www.airoliver.de/save/index.php?cat=004&product=210837 Link to comment
Zander
I've ordered a pack of these along with a pack of the Ultima ones too. I'll upload some pics next week. As far as I understand it, the Basic Slips are being made by SCA to try and get into the healthcare market (Care-homes, NHS trusts etc. etc.) which views them as unnecessarily expensive. Tena as a brand is seen as a premium consumer one and generally is purchased off the shelf by the customer - SCA don't have the same relationships compared to some major suppliers who do business to business deals for high-volume. Zander
They feel a bit thin / flimsy - slightly more so than than the id Slips but not as bad as the Tender Care ones (made in Greece?). They're not as bad as you might think on the absorbency front, clearly these aren't going to match the capacity of a Tena Slip Maxi or Ultima, but they seem like they'd rival a Plus at least. The content seems to be mostly SAP and I've found they don't clump much which is good. The fasteners are similar to the ones on the normal Tena Slips' - two small ones which have a dedicated landing zone. This means they can be unstuck and restuck down a few times, but I've had no reason to do this - for me they seem to fit fine first time. As promised, pics below (Note - I've cropped these a bit and reduced the file-size to ~375KB, otherwise each image is a good 3MB or so). DIAPER: COMPARISON SHOTS: PACKAGING: 1 Link to comment
