well first question has any one taken amtrak? i am moving the 5th of march to go live with my fiance. but i am taking amtrak to get there. its cheaper then renting a car gas to get there, an airplaine ticket, and a uhaul. i have a backpak full of my medicall stuff diapers, inhaler, pills, and my ps3. my qestion is are they going to allown a backpak. on the website it says diaper bags, electrionics, and medical items are not incuded in the 2 carryons. i guess i can call and ask just to be sure.

I have taken Amtrak many times. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. The conductors are very nice and there is tons of overhead and leg room to set bags. you should see some of the Amish people that take Amtrak in my area. They carry an insane amount of stuff with them and not a word said.
