I had such an unbelievably bad week. I just want to lay in bed.

Had a good job interview at a good place where I have an in with a senior person ... and funding for the position falls through.

If anyone needs me, I’ll be at my desk trying to simultaneously balance 14 accounts, my passion for writing, and this thing called a life. Good thing I live alone and have no romantic partners or prospects or else my existence would really get to be a chore.

*pees diaper; cries into teddy; eats sugar; gets fat again; cries into teddy some more*

I’m not sick and I don’t have a fever and I don’t care what the thermometer says and I (gulp) ????

Funny how a glass of cranberry juice and vodka makes my pelvic floor disruption disappear for a few hours.

How many work emails must you read in the new year before you’re in a bad mood?

I named them Daphne and Jamie. They don’t know that yet, but if they ever come out of hiding, they’ll probably learn that.

”Are Jamie and Daphne from a show or something,” people ask me.

”Nope. Just names I like.” Which is true.

Gonna be needing some sympathy and good vibes.

Had to get tested for COVID because of symptoms, and now I have a UTI on top of it. Rapid test results this afternoon, other results later this week.

Grr.
