Ok, I don't post like ever. But I have both retention and incontinence. I was having really bad retention for like 2 1/2 weeks were I would drink around 64 to 72 ounces of water a day. But could barely get a small stream of weak urine out maybe twice a day. Today I woke up to a wet bed. All day almost every hour to hour and half my bladder is involuntarily voiding. I have been seeing a urologist for years. I was diagnosed at age 19 with OAB, then at age 25 with retention, then at age 27 with incontinence and retention. I had an order for catheters but they expired sometime last year. So today's been a soggy day.

The way the "homes" work are different for every state and every county. Are you going into a intellectual disabled group home? A mental health group home? Is it run by the CBS or privately owned and funded? The reasons I asked so many questions is because I live in a group home in VA. And I am a DL and they know and they are ok with it. I buy my own diapers as well get some through a fund my dad set up for to access throughout the year. I have lived in my group home for 13 years and never have had any problems with my DL side.
How old were you when you started wearing diapers?

I was about 6 when my mom had some pull ups for a charity drive. I didn't understand that they weren't for me I just took them and put them on. I wanted to wear frequently because I was having accidents all the time. I would suddenly move and my pants were wet. But never told my parents. I would go to church and in the nursery I would take some of the diapers so I could have some for the week. When I was 14 I saved up enough money to buy a pack of store brand goodnites. My mom caught me. Asked me why I needed them. I told her that I needed them. My mom bought them for me until she died 10 years ago. Now my Medicaid pays for them. Turns out I have a OAB and Functional incontinence.
