Yes! And the first ejaculation is the worse! There was so much soreness the first time, but you get used to it over time. The reason is that the muscle spams are used to being closed to push out the ejaculate, but there is something in the way making it not as effective. I didn't like to ejaculate with a stent in, as it can get really messy with all the urine being pushed out as well. And it does push out and spray far!

I have type 1, so that won't work. My body doesn't make any insulin. Can't "cure" it without a transplant or something. Anyone else, do you take precautions?

I didn't think there are any doctors here, but I wanted to ask; what do you do to keep infections away? I've had many UTIs and I just got out of the hospital for kidney infection. I know my diabetes doesn't help, but I'm interested in finding out those that use the stents often, how you keep out infections. I was taking mine out each time for sexual activities, many times a week, but otherwise left in. So, it might be that I changed it too often, but wondering what you do. Thanks!

The one I currently have in is slightly longer so I could get a good bend for the bladder. It is currently 14.5cm. it looks a lot like the link I provided. If this doesn't answer your questions, please let me know! I love this design.. less parts, less places for bacteria, no metal, and I love it! I should mention since I learned recently, you should heat the tube very well... Not too much to burn or make it loose structure, but the heat is what helps it keep it's shape after you put it in the ice water.

Those look really big! I know it's hard to tell size in pictures like this, 10cm is kind of small, at least for me. (would you verify the length for me?) I know everyone is different. I just recreated mine today and it measured 14cm total in length. Here is a picture of the one I had before that I wore almost 95% of the time for 6 months. Only difference is that both ends are angled about the same angle as my previous, but I made the length to the bend shorter.

Good morning! I've been wearing 24/7, 80% of it with a stent, for about 3 years. My question, has anyone noticed that their penis has developed a curve? Mine used to be straight when hard, but it has developed a curve at the spot where it bends in my padding. I think it is from the erections while being pinned down in a downward position. I actually am rethinking wearing 24/7, which is sad... Maybe I'll not wear at night, since that is where most of my erections come from while being pinned down. What has been your experiance?

Not all symptoms are noticeable. Just saying... many infections go unnoticed while it deals damage to the body. Like many STDs, kidney, and liver infections! I would love it if you put your story as your story, instead of facts. But that is my opinion. I agree with this, I love the experience! Science is facts until proven wrong. Yes, science is the never-ending search for the truth, even from the truths we already know. But they use the scientific method for their findings, which are reliable. If you mean COVID being scamdemic... it is proven. Yes, they are still learning about it, but at least they are doing stuff to save people's lives. I have studied COVID and how it affects the body, it is a real thing. But, I guess it is like telling a flat-earther that the earth is round... you give them the research and data, but it is up to individuals to trust it or not. Education and critical thinking, in my opinion, is the biggest lacking pursuit that is needed for human growth. Everyone is different, so you be you! I respect your opinion, and want to input mine. I like to encourage others to grow and learn things so you don't get stale or outdated. Weather you are left, right, center, or anywhere, learning and thinking critically is important, don't just follow the crowd. We are all different!

With the improvement of the stent design we all go through, I think we find what works for us. Thus, making it stay in place better as we get better designing our stents If you take any UTI tests, you will notice that there is a significant increase to the population of white blood cells in your urine. This is due to your body trying to deal with the stent. Just like with a splinter, it is trying to remove the stent. Now, only time and research will tell how that will affect the body long term. Also, it will be different for everybody on how it will change the body. That is awesome! I have been 24/7 many months now. I remove it 40% of the time for sexual activities, and usually keep it out for many hours for cleaning and other self care. I am doing the same thing. I have an appointment coming up soon and I will also post my findings! I told my urologist that this is what I am doing, and I hope he would be able to keep me safe and healthy. He agreed!

You don't wear continuously, all day, 24/7? I assumed you did wear all day.

That's great! I find it helps me wetting while laying down. Also, I have to move so there is not much pressure on my urethra from outside sources, so it is easier to flow! So I pull the padding down to give room, and keep my legs open as comfortably as I can. It is great to leak all night, not waking with the need!! I'll keep you posted! If there is any tissue damage, I would look for a way to modify the stent. It all depends on the outcome, but I don't feel there is any issues. I'm just overly cautious! Isn't it great!!

The design of my stent came from your build. The one piece design. Though, I was not able to do it easily, and bending the tube inward, as you do well, was very hard for me! Do you have "vent" holes at the bladder end? I mean, just a few added holes that helps with the large one at the tip. I found it has helped with the feel for me. I can't wait to see my doctor to get the Cystoscopy done at the end of next month. I have been wearing my stent almost every day 24/7 for the last few months. I want to see if there are any red spots or issues!

Well, there are different levels of "hardness". This is rated Shore 98A, so it is rather stiff, not fluid at all. But I have found that at the points there I heat it for the curve, it is more flexible (at room temp). And when you get it to 98.7 temperature, the whole thing is a bit more flexible. It holds it's curve well enough to not want to migrate into the bladder, or be pushed out. Though, I did find a few rare times when the tube was too long that the bladder would push it out some. After I reduced the length of the tube, it holds perfect! When I use the heat gun, or boil the tube, it is really flexible. So much so that it can lose much of the curve when boiled. My PCP suggested that I only use warm water and hand soap when cleaning it. (She doesn't know the tube rating and it is a general health thing she says often.) My definition of rigid is one that doesn't move at all with mild finger pressure. Flexible and rigid are definitely subjective. I hope I answered your question. The ultrasound shows the stent and the placement of the stent in the bladder. I wanted to know if it was too far inside my bladder, as you want it to be right on the inside from the neck. So, my stent was in a little too deep. Also, keep in mind that everything changes when you lay down vs standing up. Well, I just told him I am doing this and asked if he would help me do it safely. Or at least keep me healthy and that I assume the risks. It is pretty flexible at body temperature, more rigid when in ice water. Pictures attached! Please note the discoloration is from urine. Stents need to be cleaned regularly. This is as clean as I could get it with water, iodine, and a Q-tip (which can't reach the middle). Also, note that I have been on Macrobid for awhile and will be on it for as long as my doctor says to help with any UTIs (I have diabetes and get infections easily.)

Update to my design and experience with this stent. I love this stent still, I have worn it for weeks at a time! I only take it out at times for sex sometimes or to clean the stent. Also, I found a urologist that is keeping watch on my bladder and urethra, which is amazing! They took an ultrasound image so I could see how far the stent is in my bladder (even though it is hard to really tell, I'll post the pic), and I watched as they did an Cystoscopy. The urethra was good with no redness or swelling, and there was a small red spot on my bladder wall that was probably caused by a stent. The doctor was not concerned about it. Changes I have made: Is to not have a big curve in the tube that goes into the bladder, as cathdiap mentioned once. There is still a curve, but only about 20 degrees or so. Also, I played with the holes to help relieve pressure. My current stent has holes in the ball that is located in the bladder. I've simplified the process as well, and can make a new one rather quickly. It takes about 30 minutes now, but I still take my time and make sure it is as perfect as I feel comfortable. I use an electric drill with new drill bits that I use only for the stent balls. The holes needs to be widened so I can press it onto the tubing on both ends. I still use the leather hole punch for the pressure vent holes, and this is the hardest part! Using the hole punch over the ball and tubing is not easy, but it is so much better than other ideas I have had. I tried the drill for the pressure holes before, but it leaves the plastic connected to the tubing that it is not a clean cut. I also tried the Dremel, but it was slow and not as accurate. The reason for the balls is to create a smooth surface at the tips when the stent is going in and out of the urethra, and to protect the bladder wall from scratching. The tubing shape is easy to obtain by heating the material, mold it how I want, and then put in cold water to hold the form. At body temperature, it is soft, but holds its form. So, most of the details from my previous post are still used. I have played with the length of the stent over and over again, and while they are different sizes, it seems they all work well. The important part of the sizing is the bend while in the urethra, just under the taint. The length has to be long enough to hold its place while at a 90 degree bend to not want to migrate into the bladder, but short enough so it is not putting pressure in the urethra toward the penis to cause irritation (there is a point in my urethra where nerves sensitive to pressure of the stent is more or none existent, for me.) I also don't want the tube going too deep into the bladder, as the function to release urine while standing is harder, because the bladder has to fill more and more to be able to void out the stent. My stents range from 9 to 12 cm long, and I'm still experimenting on the benefit and issues with different sizing. There is a difference when laying down vs standing. I always have enough length in the retrieval line to account for getting hard, both in length and girth, and even more in case it wants to migrate toward the bladder while the penis pulses and throbs, but not too much that it can actually go into the bladder fully. I leave enough line slack that when I get hard, there is enough to wrap around my head once with still a little slack. I have awaken from irritation at my PA hole being pulled because the stent wants to migrate while I am hard, but that is better than having it migrate totally into my bladder. And for those that are concerned about my safety with the balls on the tubing without any adhesives, the balls have never moved while inside my body! They can be moved by my hand with a little force, but there is no force like that in the bladder or urethra and it holds extremely well! I'll post a pic of my stent when I take it out to clean it!

I got the pictures! The Dremel bit was hard to find. I don't know how I got it, but I do have two different Dremel bit sets. Don't want any place for bacteria to hide. But, I do use a strong disinfectant dip, and then I rinse completely and boil to make sure nothing is left behind!

Good morning, boyhood! I'll take better pictures of the balls, tubing, and Dremel tool this afternoon. As for your question(s): The balls can be removed by hand, but they are on here tightly, and moving them up or down the tubing takes effort. I am not afraid of it coming off. The balls are slightly bigger than my meatus and do not move when I push them through. For the first ball, I push it through on its side slightly, and for the last one going in, I press the tip with my finger, which includes the ball and tube. My sphincter muscles are not powerful enough to hold onto the balls even if I try my hardest to keep the external one closed. You may have a strong muscle, but like most things you put in your urethra (sounds, caths), you should be as relaxed as possible. The balls I use are 10mm, and though it might be hard to get it to pass if it comes off in the bladder, I don't think I will have too hard of a time. I don't think I would require medical attention. You can get smaller balls, though! I think a 6mm ball would work to help keep it in place, and if you are worried about it coming off (which I think if you try to make it with the materials I used, you will find it won't come off easily), then it will be easier to pass from the bladder outwards. You can also wrap a string around the balls through the hole, but then multiple lines will come from your urethra. That is a possibility, though!
