  1. Ahem, allow me to prepare my best nasally olde-time radio™ voice

"What an ending! What will happen next? Can bree trust the returning doll's apparent sincerity? Will Lila make it to third base? Can faith keep the her pants dry until Angie arrives to correct her outfit? Tune it next time to find out!"

But seriously, this was an awesome chapter and its so rude to leave us on such a big set of cliffhangers!

  2. So a few things now that I've caught up on the newest awesome story that Kimmy posted!

First, I dont know how I didnt catch the huge themes of objectification that run through so many of your stories! I read the post explaining your attraction to objectification and it clicked into view in so many stories (which is shocking I've been reading your stories so long and still missed your comments explaining this before now, because I know I've seen the posts about degradation and humiliation)

Second, I love the idea of someone being demoted to 'dolly'! How have I seen no one at CAPCon with that ball-joint doll makeup? I'm sure lots of people in the nursery would love to play with such a dolly!

Every one of your tales is a roller coaster ride to read!

I cant wait to see where this all goes next!

We met at CAP? :o I didn't know that!!

I know exactly how useless this description is given the clientele of CAPCon but- yeah, I was the guy wearing overalls (either Jean or black ones, can't remember if I got my tykables black ones before or after that.) that stole kimmy away from LKBs shop for a minute to talk and catch up.

whaaaaa why?!  We are so innocent and would never do anything so sexy mean!

I have briefly met you at capcon, I know how innocent a front you've put up...  I've also listened to Kimmy describe how little of Pick You're Battles is exaggerated.

Although I just realized this is a chance to play a bit of harmless fun on a friend that I suggested this story to~ the first ocean recording was something like 2 hours and 4 minutes... wasn't it??

  5. This was an amazing journey! And although I do agree with Trip on how Remy acted in the early hypnosis bits (he was an ASS to Frosty!) In the end its a sappy sweet and cute finish.

Also, side note to self: if I ever receive anything from that family (sophie, pudding, Kimmy, or others associated) never listen or watch without scrutinizing for subliminal messages??

(I'm totally suggesting this story to some friends that are into hypno and long, high-quality fiction.)

  6. You described the feeling! I've never had a way to describe the shift of perception (where things are just a little  brighter or just a little more silly or a tad more fun! Or when thoughts are shorter and "fluffier" and things like bills and work feel a million miles away.) when in a headspace. It took me a long time to even perceive what the change was, let alone quantify it as purely as you have here.

“Doesn’t she annoy you, or frustrate you, or do things you don’t like?”

“Sure.  Like, every day.  But just because she says and does stuff I don’t like doesn’t mean I like her any less.”

“That makes no sense,” Polly said with frustration.

        “I don’t think it’s supposed to,” I admitted

“You shouldn’t chase some arbitrary fantasy,” I told her.

“I don’t think it’s a fantasy to want what you have.”

        “Unrequited feelings?” I joked.

        “Unconditional ones.

This right here is the hardest thing to have: an unconditional connection to anyone. I can count on one hand the number of people that could annoy the living shit out of me today and I'd still talk to them tomorrow like nothing at all happened.

, it makes me seem like more of an asshole. :)

I didn't mean for you to feel like this, i just thought you would appreciate that it is almost a real-life field of study (I vaguely remember him saying something like the earliest positively identified mention was in a psychologocical case-study in the late 1800s) but sadly I don't remember anything more specific than that.

Edit: So I found the slides and bibliography on Anon777's fetlife page and the earliest he cites as used in his presentation is 1935, but I remember him joking about there being some earlier ones written completely in german (because most of the most well-known psychologists of the period were German and would post their findings in German medical journals)

  9. This story reminded me that there are actually individuals that specialize in studying fetishes throughout historical periods. No joke, there are dissertations with reference materials that tracks certain types of bdsm and other fetish through journals and personal diaries.(yes this includes abdl interest) anon777 at CAP briefly touched on how far back they have written mention of infantilistic tendencies including psychological case studies.

I remember when I first read your stories I wondered if there were persons who could not see some of the text.  I don't know how colorblindness works.

Basically they don't see the saturation of color, just the contrast of the shade. For example, someone red/green colorblind cannot differentiate something that has the same intensity. Hex color code #FF0000 and #0000FF will look the same, but they can still differentiate both from white/black/any color they can see.

Hence why 'colorblind mode' in games tends to use strange bright and dark shades of purples and other secondary colors because it lowers the chance of someone being totally unable to differentiate what they see in the game.

So many squishes... thank you so much <3

It was so amazing to meet you at CAP! I don't know who was more excited between you and i when I said I'd read all of your stories that you'd finished at the time.:whistling:

(Alright, I admit... I was fanboy-ing really hard when I met you!)

  12. Sophie, I love this story, and reading both Kimmy and your commentary is almost like a form of mental diving! (I keep nodding to little internal thoughts you both state that I unconsciously do but thinking back I see some parallels)

Even if the story wasn't written for people in 'the community' it's still a fantastic story for introspection and self-examination.

  13. Ahh so this was the fluff one-shot you said you were writing. You were right, even in the most cliché trope-checklist story you still managed to write in a moral and make people feel sympathy for the characters.

    Awesome job!

  14. That was a good ending. I love that you were even thoughtful enough to show that it doesn't need to be clinically severe for a mental disorder to affect someone's life in devastating ways.

And look! It's the closest you've ever been to writing the words 'and they lived happily ever after' in a story ending! It wasn't storybook perfect by any means, but they are together, happy, and improving (which in my opinion is the IRL equivalent to happily ever after.) Vanessa/Dani makes me jealous because it's working so well and that's a great goal for a relationship. (maybe Seth needs to see the same person Vanessa is... especially if he's jealous that Jess is making friends and having fun.)

You've just been rooting for the sociopath this whole time.

a lot of us have... because you write everything in a way where we can sympathize with her! you wrote in justifications from Vanessa's perspective that make her the story's victim at the beginning. if this were a horror movie without a narrator you're right, i'd be right there shouting "don't do it dumbass!" as Dani moves in with Vanessa. now that i think about it, Dani has the trust levels of a horror movie protagonist :P but we're all seeing this story from the perspective of 'the terminator' (whom i think honestly cares for dani at this point.) but you're absolutely right, when i started to like the Dani/Nessa relationship Vanessa was still in total sociopathic creeper mode.

  16. that was just cruel... i saw the name 'Lauren' and set my phone down to take a second and accept that things were going to go sideways super-fast! i just hope Dani and Vanessa are okay! i really hope they can make it all work out now that everything is on the table (i NEVER would have predicted that it would be vanessa being broken in such a way.)
