      It's funny... I'm not fond of the cold either, but it just seems so much easier to get warmer than it is to get cooler.  That and I don't have easy access to a pool anymore :(

    Funny how on a vacation day I scheduled months in advance I’m still working and having to fend off efforts to make me work on Monday, also supposed to be a vacation day, and I’ve only succeeded in having to work 2-4 hours that day.

    I mean, it’s not “haha” funny. More like “fuck my work-addicted coworkers” funny. Which really isn’t funny at all. ?‍♂️

      I know how you feel... sales is the same way... too many people trying to eek out that last bit, never even considering that those orders have to be processed... oh well.  Tis the life I have chosen. Just remember... out of office messages are useful for more than letting people know you are away

    Been a nutty 10 days in a not so great way, and I've been putting my extra time to real world chores. I'll probably write something over the weekend.

    Waking from my car to my office this morning reminded me why I should just stop even considering moving to a Chicago for work.

      No reason to go into the city these days when teleconferencing is just as good, and in some cases better than face to face... not always of course but more times than not

    Lacking my usual inspiration and fast writing skills since I got back. Post-vacation blahs. I miss being outside all day.

      I work from home so I get the feeling of being cooped up as well. One of the things that helps me this time of year is to open up a window and let the cold air brighten up the  Room.  I know that kind of sound strange but I find that the air being nice and brisk just makes things so much easier to to think and make the day go faster

    At urgent care with an IV in my arm waiting to find out if I have a kidney stone or just a UTI.

    NOT WHAT I WAS PLANNING ON DOING WITH MY DAY!

    UPDATE: just a UTI, which is highly unusual for young men. At home in a diaper trying to keep my bladder flowing comfortably.
