  1. I am also a diapered father and understand your angst at the issue.
  2. Thanks, Alex, for the kind advice and offer of assistance!
  3. I have twice-monthly routine check-ups as a part of my company's health insurance and because my weight puts me into a high-risk-for-insurance category. I'm in diapers 24/7 for obesity-related bladder incontinence and while I have to strip down to the diaper and socks for the check-ups, the diaper always stays on and I have never had to remove it completely for the doctor visits.
  4. Well, I can say that the club, the pool, Pedro, the private time in the lap pool and the water aerobics classes are working well for me - so much better than all of the other exercise routines I have tried in the past.
  5. I haven't found a swim diaper in my size but did know about the risks of a regular disposable for clogging a pool's filter in the event of a rip or tear.
  6. I've just received a new order of custom made plastic pants in a heavier material (no idea the thickness in milimetres but I'd say like a shower curtain's weight). Initially, I was wearing them tight on my body, like the diaper, but now am wearing them looser (an experiment following some mechanical failures with other pairs ripping and tearing) and this seems to be working given that my weight shifts a lot depending on sitting or standing and then moving around.
  7. A twisted knee from not paying proper attention getting out the car had me sidelined for a couple of days but I am back on my exercise routine once again!
  8. As I posted in the other discussion, my new plastic pants arrived, the choice of material seems - so far - to be a good one, the fit is fine and wearing them now a bit looser (my idea, thinking that this would reduce the weight and size induced stress on the material) seems also to be okay overall.
  9. In my opinion, you can't really have too many.
  10. Thanks, everyone, for all the advice and tips on the plastic pants.
  11. Down 3 pounds this week according to the weigh-in at my regular check-up on Friday. I am not happy with the slow pace of the weight loss but the doctor is happy, especially with the blood test showing a drop in the bad cholesterol.
  12. Down to my last 5 or so pairs of the plastic pants and so a decision needs to be made. I simply cannot be without them - either over top of disposibles or the cloth pull-ups - so I have have to make a decision and order soon since they are a custom make to fit my 'curvy' figure (sarcasm intended).
  13. I am a pastry chef working at least half of my day in a kitchen and wear a diaper for urinary incontinence as a result of my obesity. It is not a problem whatsoever. My boss is aware of this condition - again - not an issue.
  14. Thanks, everyone, for the comments on the plastic pants.
  15. There was a guest speaker this week at the obesity support group so my mentoring was sidelined by a very interesting 20 year old who gave a very fresh perspective at being fat in an overall un-fat-friendly world and the difficulties all of us dealing with weight and weight-related issues face.
  16. Down another 2 pounds this week... I hope for smaller numbers but at least they are going in the right direction after having been quite the opposite for so long.
  17. Early Saturday morning musings here while the rest of the circus is still sleeping...
  18. The support group, I think now, is interesting enough for me to pop by again when they meet this week.
  19. Out of curiosity, I stopped by the incontinence support group that my doctor told me about during my last regular check-up.
  20. No diet pills and no quick fixes for me.
  21. Many thanks, hlcl, for your comments. I have never considered diet pills because there just is no such thing as an easy or quick fix for healthy weight loss other than the simple math of it all:
