ok I know the parties are seperate from the government I'n not saying its possible to get ride of them I'm saying it would be better had they never been created period but they were so yeah we're stuck with them. and fair enough I misunderstood your point but the first issue I stated is still there its not possible to insure that every citizen is educated and informed enough to make reasonable decisions in elections which is the reason the electoral college exist to act as a buffer for ignorance in the political process, and that not a dig at anyone in particular or even people with politicaly incorrect opinions but people who don't know what roles a politcal position has and who don't know anything about political candidates.

Diapered Jason it is the parties fault for suppuling people with an easy path to an opinion based not on the individuals own thoughts and opinions but on partisan bases and while i don't nessecarliy disagree with you on the problems with the electoral college the alternative is to be a direct democracy which we can't be there are a few major reasons we're a republic: 1. it'd be impossible to insure every citizan is informed enough to make wise judgements in elections which is why we have the elctorate. 2. there are too many people to account for each person in an election if every vote counted legistically it'd be a nightmare 3. direct democracys are nice in theory and in a city like Athens it can work but for such a large and diverse populace it leaves too big a window for corruptions its much simpler to have a contained set of individuals who can be better watched for corruption than letting the whole country run wild. And also while it wouldn't be easy or plassible to campaign with a limited budget theres no manditory cost for running for elections and standing on a connor soap box is free so while i get what your saying its not impossible to run with out partisan monteray backing.

really this whole issue is kind of simple to put it plainly all political talk show host are terrible and the people listening to them are even worse. wheter liberal or conservative the people following these shows are nothing but sheep and the people like rush are the sheperds who don't care one once for actually informing the people on political issue but instead using propaganda and fear mongering to bost their ratings which is why I avoid any kind of opinion political talk show and I'm also not to big on political satier in the media either because there are undoubtly people out there mornic enough to follow the paradodys as if they were fact but at the same time they, being the writers and comedians, are just trying to entertain people with humor at the expense of politcal figures most of whom are deserving of a bit of scoff. I'll finish off with this while both parties are terrbile and I wish we had followed the great George Washington's warning of the dangers of political parties I do believe as a rule the democrats tend to be the lesser of two evils only because they try to be humanitarians which is what makes humans human, our compassion and emphathy for others republicans are usually too althuristc on this point thinking anything humanitarian is just a bunch of hippi comunists trying to save the lazy bums of the world at the cost of the working american but I can't reason this and to make a controversal statement communism in and of its self, at its most base level, is just an attempt to make everyone fair and equal and to eliminate poverty which is a great idea the problem is that it can't be well emplemented which is why the ussr and other communist states are vile and corrupt because to acheive this noble goal horrific totalitaren measures must be taken.to borrow a qoute from Helder Camara “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. Ok rush isn't a politician but he is in the political system as a talkshow host and opinion commentator which was my main point people take his word to heart and based their political actions around his ridiculous opinion so your right he's not going to be running for office any time soon gods forbid but he's very.much a part of the system far more than bill is

I personally can't stnd either of them but I do prefer Bill Maher over Rush Limbaugh who gives me magrines wrose than I can describe and I can boil the reason for that down to two simple things one is that as pointed out maher is not a politican he's a comedian and so any person with any sembalance of reasonable though will take his opinions as nothing more than that a joke but so many people willingly become Limaugh's sheep and suck up the crap he spews it makes me sick; and two from the little I've seen of Maher he doesn't attack groups but rather individuals and politicans who are voluntarely in the spotlight already but Limbaugh will attack anyone he deems wrothery of attacking.

I agree but it is a fools errand to try to teach thoose who plug there ears and close their eyes or to try to learn from one who does not understand

I said it once but I say it again please just let this forum die this will be decided on in the fall but the possibility of any sort of civil debate on this topic is long since dead so can't one side just be mature enough to capitulate and wait to see who the electorate names as the most deserving of being president

first of all I said dark energy thats differnt than dark matter and further more dark matter is still a vaild concept well accepted read a book on astronomy if you don't believe me, also I've sat through a few church sermons for friends and I've never once heard an attack on science. And how are stars not in a delicate balnce if the hydro staic equialibrium is not in perfect alignment or if the nuclear fusion is off then stars would die or not even make it to birth from proto-stars. Ok stop with the generalization theres a serious misunderstanding between a correlation and causation the majority of modern and even ancient religions had no causation for the deniel of science or learning and while there are execptions even today, which unfortunately are the ones most talked about, most religions support the pursute of better understanding case in point any sane person would not argue that the sun a gaint ball of gas, made up of hydrogen and helium and nuclear fusion in its core, because scientic studys have proven that a fact however there is no proof for or against that some other being does not influence the unbeleivebly delicate blance the sun or any star maintains through out its entire life. Also there are new forms of energy we've yet to find its called dark energy and it makes up most of our universe but scientist don't know what it is. finaly lets all remeber that despite all of our scientific advances compred to what we don't know we still know nothing
