The lady kneels down. "Why not sweetie? Your daddy is very worried about you?"

Daddy picks up Zoe and carries her to the theatre. "What do you want to see?"

A lady security guard sees Daisy hiding. She walks over to her. "Are you the missing girl who her father is looking for?"

Grandma gave Zoe on the cheek and ruffled up the fur on top of Zoe's head. "Bye Zoe. Have fun."

Daddy sighs and walks to the customer service booth and reports that his daughter had ran away from him. The lady called the security guards and told them to be on the look out for Daisy. She also used the PA system to announce there was a lost girl in the mall.

Daddy wipes the crumbs off her mouth. He picks Zoe up. "We will be back later."
Grandma smiles. "Take your time."

Daddy shakes his head. "When I am ready to date. I'll ask a lady out."

Daddy sets down at the table to wait on Zoe to finish.

"I said I wasn't ready to date, but I can look in the meantime at other females."

Daddy shakes his head. "Well when you are done with your cookies. We need to be heading out so we aren't late to the movies."

"Maybe, but right now. I am not ready to date."

Grandma hands Zoe two cookies and winks at her. "Mom, I said one cookie."
Grandma smiles. "I did. One for her left hand and one for her right hand."

"That is what the diapers are for. To keep your bed dry when you wet."

Grandma gets the cookie jar down and takes the lid off. Daddy looks at Zoe. "You can have one cookie."

"Why would waiting make things worse. Don't you think we need time to grieve properly?"

(Grandma called Zoe by the wrong name to get Zoe to laugh and correct her.)
Grandma puts Zoe down so she can get a cookie.

She looks at Zoe in her arms. "Would you like a cookie Gail? There are some fresh baked ones on the counter."

Daddy rubs Daisy's back. "I had not thought about dating again. I don't think I could stand to lose another wife or a girl friend. How about we wait a little bit to let the passing of your mom not hurt us so much."

Daddy kneels down and rubs Daisy's back. "I know you do. I miss her too." He sets on the floor and holds you in his arms. "Go ahead and let it all out."

Grandma hears the door bell ringing. She walks to the door and opens it. Grandma picks up Zoe. "My you have grown Gail. You are almost as big as Zoe is."

"I know that. That is why I asked if you wanted to go to McDonald's. You loved to go eat there and play on their indoor playground. Even when you was a small child. I didn't put up with you yelling at me and your mom."

Daddy catches up with Daisy. He turns her around so she is facing him. "I know you are hurting and i get that, but you aren't the only one. I'm hurting too and I'm trying the best I can to be here for you, but you have to meet me halfway and we will get though this together."

Daddy gives Daisy a stern look. "You shout one more time and I will put you over my knee and spank your bare bottom right here in front of everyone."

Daddy buckles Zoe in and gets in the car. He drives to Grandma's house abd gets Gail out after unbuckling Zoe. Daddy gets Gail's diaper bag and looks back to see if Zoe was behind him. "Ring the door bell Zoe."
