  1. Like the previous 2 posters I have liked diapers since I was very young probably about 5 years old and now 63 the feeling is still there.
  2. I like to use cotton flour sack cloth towels for my diapers. They cost about $2.00 apiece and measure about 38x34". I use seam tape to make a soaker. Just fold in thirds and use seam tape to bond. Much easier then sowing. This is the closest I come to orating the Curity diapers I grew up with
  3. Look for some flour sack cloth towels. They cost about $2.00 each when bought by the dozen. I found them to be quite absorbent when doubled. They are thin like the Curity gauze diaper and won't show under your pants.
  4. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on cloth diapers, you could buy some flour sack cloth towels. They go for about 2.00 each on the internet but may be available at craft stores. They also sell them at Sam's clubs. They are also called bar towels and are used for general cleaning around the house. I found them to be the closest to a baby diaper and will hold a considerable amount of liquid. If you don't like them at least you haven't spent a lot of money and you can use them to clean your car.
  5. Has anyone see what vintage Curity diapers are going for on EBay. Some auctions are fetching over $100.00 for a dozen diapers. Who has the money for that kind of diaper? I wish I had saved my diapers from the 70's. Back then you could buy a dozen diapers for around $6.00. I used to stock up every January when they went on sale. My ex-girlfriend had a large collection of diapers she had from when her son was a baby. I could be rich now.
  6. I haven't wet in them yet. I don't know if they would hold more than one wetting episode. When I want to wet I use a terry cloth towel and plastic pants which work great. When I used to be slim as well and the Curity's used to fit, I didn't wet them much. The problem was that in the 70's it was difficult if not impossible to buy plastic pants for adults although I'm sure they were around but I didn't know where to find them. I did make a fairly usable substitute using two pair of Playtex plastic pants and sewing them together with the narrow end making the crotch and the wide backs of the two making the waist.
  7. Has anyone used a flour sack towel as a diaper? I found some at my local convenience store the other day. They wer only about $2.00 each but I found several places on line that sells them in bulk for less. They remind me of the old Curity cloth 21x40 diapers that were around years ago and were my favorites.
