When I first started wearing diapers, in my early 20s, it was intensely sexual. Ten years later, I'm still wearing them, but it's no longer such a turn-on for me. The feeling is more one of being warm and safe. I miss being turned on! I wish I could put on a diaper and feel the same way I did when I first started wearing. Anybody else in the same boat? Any tips for bringing back those old feelings?

I've never told any GF of mine, and I never will. Personally, I only wear occasionally, and I don't see any harm in doing so in secret.

I'll never forget when I discovered there were other diaper lovers. It was in the early 1990s, while I was in college and still in my teens. In those days the internet was still in its infancy and USENET was the main source of news groups. One night I fired up my newsgroup reader. When it started up, it would list all of the groups that had been created since I last logged on. I quickly skimmed the list, and there amongst dozens of completely unrelated groups was listed alt.sex.fetish.diapers. I was electrified, I was stunned, I nearly fell out of my seat! I had had an interest in diapers for as long as I could remember, but I had never acted on it. I just had a vague notion that I liked them. Simply seeing that phrase "alt.sex.fetish.diapers" suddenly crystallized the issue for me: then and there, I realized I had a fetish for them, and most amazingly, other people did too. For weeks after that I was in a diaper-obsessed daze. Unfortunately I couldn't read the newsgroup, because my college banned it. I could, however, post to it, and other people read my posts and kindly sent me some supportive emails, including some diaper stories. It was another couple of years before I bought my first pack of diapers, but that's another story! If I had never discovered that there were others out there, I doubt I would ever have acted out my fantasy of wearing a diaper. I would probably have always surpressed it.

I'm wearing Tena Slip Maxi, which I bought online. I used to buy them from a store but I found the embarassment too much to bear. I always had to spend about two hours beforehand psyching myself up to go in and buy them. It added to the thrill though, so I do actually miss that part of the experience a little.

I have often wondered how many AB/DLs exist in the world. My guess is, it's in the tens of thousands. Here's how I came to that conclusion: As I write, there are 5,819 members of the chat board. A lot of people who visit the site are lurkers, who never join up. How many lurkers? Well, at the moment, there are 80 people using the site, but only 26 of them have registered. If that's at all typical, then about two-thirds of the users of this site are lurkers. Doing the math, that means that around 18,000 different people have visited this site. It seems safe to assume that most of them are DLs. Of all DLs on the planet, what proportion of them would have visited this site? My guess is that it would be a pretty big proportion. Most people have internet access these days, and most DLs would have gone hunting around for DL sites at some stage, and would probably have found this one. Let's say it's 1/3 to 1/2 of all DLs. That brings us to a grand total of around 30,000 to 60,000 DLs in the world. Any other guesses?
