    To all who have ansewered this post i have a ? to ask you all.Do you think that every nurse in this country dose everything she or he was taught to do?If that where the case we would not have nurse's hurting and killing people all over this country.And as far as a nurse saying something about my diaper looking cute,i have heard many nurse's say something about people's cloth's.You cant judge all nurse's the same.

    dude, where your story falls short is when you stated you gave the nurse a urine sample. If your wearing a diaper the nurse is not going to give you a cup to urinate in to obtain a urine specimen, the nurse is going to use catheter to get a urine sample for someone who is incontinent. True, I can see some of my fellow nurses that I work with saying "cute diaper" or "I like your pamper" or "Ah, ain't that sweet" if you wore a ABU cushie to an exam, it's not your typical adult diaper you see in the medical field everyday.

    I actually had the opportunity to sit and watch an instructional dvd that my mother had to watch when she was doing her cna 1 class and no where in the section regarding incontinence stuff did they ever show the patient being changed like an infant. If the nurses and such in your area trained anywhere similar to what she had to then this is total BS. Nowhere in the video did it mention the product as a diaper either. It was undergarment, incontinence brief, or something along those lines. Also the video specifically stated that treating the patient with the utmost respect and dignity is priority one.

    Just my two cents on this.

    They want you to refer to them as "briefs" but where I work all of the CNA's/LPN's/RN's refer to them as diapers, some as pampers. Even the Pt's refer to them as diapers/pampers. I've never heard a PT complain either, it is what it is.

    Whatever! lol. They are not all bad and assisted living is almost normal living. I've worked in a few and seen really nice retirement homes. It really depends on the place and the people who work there. It could change from one month to the next depending on the employees. But since we are almost all doomed to go there I'm not gonna freak out about it. Instead I will try to make the best of it. Wearing 24/7 and pinching young nurses asses, LOL!! Its all what you make of it. IF and I say IF you are of sound mind and not hit with a mental illness then you have the right to bitch up a storm and get things changed. If you have dimentia or alhzheimers then you will hate life pretty much anywhere you are. But who really wants to grow super old anyway?

    Um, only 5% of elderly actually end up in one of these places. As far as pinching young nurses asses, yeah, um okay. Old or not, the CNA/LPN/RN's I work with would not tolerate that shit! If a resident touches a staff memember in a innappriate manner, be assured that the social worker will pay them a visit and there will be a consquences for there behavior. I think some people on this forum are stuck in fantasy land.

    Oh, I take care of myself, so I don't plan on ended up it one of these places. I'd rather take a bullet in the head then end up in a nursing home.

    Dude, LTC (long term cae) centers are the worst places to end up when your old, and to work. I don't even know wear to begin to tell you how horrible it is to be a resident or to work at one of these places. I am one nurse to 40 patients. I get 5 minutes to shove my dinner down my throat and get right back to work (nope, I don't get paid for my lunch break, but theres so much work to do I have to work through my break) They don't want to pay you OT, and god forbid if you make a mistake they want to report you to the state. If anybody is thinking about going into nursing on this forum go to www.aboutmyjob.com and type in Nursing sucks and really read these stories, believe what these fellow nurses say is true, NURSING SUCKS!!!

    I'm a nurse and believe me, she wasn't shoked seeing you in a diaper. It's what we see all the time. Depending on the facilites procedures, if you don't have bladder control your either going to have a catheter slammed into you or your going to be diapered. Were I work, if you piss the bed, your going to be diapered wether you like or not. Most of my CNA's are tough ass Jamaican women that don't have time to keep changing sheets.     today, they sent me an invoice for shipping, $35! to ship 16 lbs from washington to michigan using GROUND shipping! I wish I hadn't paid these bastards, Over $100 for 40 diapers, Better be damn good,I hope these guys sink.

    I thought that shipping was included in the price and then I was hit for another $8.00 to ship my package via pony express (fedex). $28.00 for 10 diapers is kinda steep.

    i know exactly how you feel with FedEx. But not sure what thier deal is, but if a package is in one of thier locations over the weekend it will not move until Monday morning. i've had to deal with this on a few occasions and i didn't like it either.

    Fedex flat out sucks! I saw by the tracking system that the package didn't leave there facility till yesterday, and they had the package since Friday! I always like when I order products online and companies just use priority mail. If they would've used priority mail, I would've probably had the package today. I just had to vent. I went through the same BS with fedex when I ordered my computer.

    Had a few peeps contact me about slow orders from ABUniverse, and although I have no direct connection to the company I do expect excellent service from all companies that we allow to advertise on DailyDiapers. With that in mind, I spoke with their managers today and have been informed that their latest shipment was delayed by customs (common occurance) but the product is now in hand and ALL orders are being prepared for shipment Monday. Customers should begin receiving their orders late this week or early next.

    Ab universe sent my package to fedex on friday, and I recieved a tracking #. Fedex estimated that I would recieve my package by the 29th. Now, I just checked the tracking number to check the status of my order and fedex now states I'm gonna recieve my package on march 3rd, they didn't even start moving my package till monday! Fedex sucks! I thought the 8 dollars in postage would maybe get my package here faster. Ugh, the us postal service could've got my goods here quicker.

    Have any of you submitted an order this month. I have submitted an order for 2 cases of large. I have sent 2 emails, and called multiple time leaving 2 messages to find out what is going on with the order. I need to know if any of you have been subject to paying for a product and have not recieved it. I am giving them till the end of the month then I will persue legal actions if I do not get my money back for not recieving the product I ordered.

    I recieved a generic email stating that the shipping container is held up on the docks due to inspection, and they should be recieving there shipment sometime this week. They said there going to include a coupon for 10% off my next order due to the delay. Shit happens.
