Yep, just out in the open lol. Here they are: just some cheap (and clothlike 😬) diapers. I figure it should do the job well enough until I depart. Soriana didn't have protein shakes like I was hoping but they did have big 1L bottles of fortified milk with 54g of protein each. They don't need to be refrigerated until you open them. So I'll probably drink one each morning starting Tuesday. They also had some single serving packs of chia seeds which I'm glad for since that will give me fiber. They also had plenty of snacks and junk food. I think I'll buy 12 more liters of water at Oxxo in the morning. Time for the super bowl now! P.S. oh yes, I will definitely not have any breakfast or any food at all tomorrow morning. Since I need to fast before the surgery.

I got diapers at the farmacia! They had tena, but I got two packs (10 diapers each) of the off brand because those packs had handles to carry. And I got two 6packs of big 1L bottles of water at Oxxo. I'm gonna go back for more later. Neither Oxxo nor the farmacia gave me bags for my items. I think bags might be banned here. Now I'm going to Soriana before the super bowl for snacks and food that will hopefully last several days (plus I have the daily breakfast buffet and I can always get room service. But I want some chips and donuts and things lol.

I am hoping now to just find what I need at the convenience stores and farmacia (thank you for the tip!) And maybe then just ask the nurse to bring me waters. I don't want to deal with delivery if I don't have to. Walmart can't deliver until tomorrow and I won't want to get up for a delivery tomorrow.

I need to do that now! I will try to do that this afternoon. I am hoping the Oxxo across the street has diapers. Otherwise I might try to have walmart delivery or something like that. It's great! Here is the view from my hotel room. I'm very excited! The only thing I'm nervous about is getting enough water and snacks and diapers in my room for the week. I am not sure how much they will remove. Probably more than half of it. I think do they take bladder tissue in the sense that they will be resecting a good portion of the bladder neck as well. I haven't had any prostate issues before (that I know of), just some longstanding LUTS with occasional retention and irritation. But I think this could prevent any future BPH or at least stave it off!

Adrenaline junkies have options in the United States, I don't. If this procedure could be done in America I wouldn't be in Mexico right now, so this analogy doesn't feel as fair to the situation I'm in.

Just boxers tomorrow. Gotta conserve the diaper supply. Although I'm hoping to make my way to walmart at some point to hopefully buy more diapers. I never did bring plastic pants. I might be sorry about that.

Yeah, time is so funny. When you want it to pass, it's this immovable mountain. And it actually does take a long time to pass. But once it does, well, there you suddenly are. I'm so excited that it's happening the day after tomorrow. Yes, EXTREMELY excited. Disappointingly I never got to the point of soaking my diaper. I might soon but I think I've been mildly dehydrated. I should have bought a bottle of water and drank it in Mexico City during my layover but didn't, and then when I got on the plane the little cup of agua I had was not enough, my mouth was actually so dry. There are some bottles of water here in the room now and before I did have some at GDL airport so I'm ok but yeah, barely peed all day. I think I'm going to go downstairs and look for a convenience store, a restaurant, and some free water before I go to sleep. Which, as I told the driver, I'm very excited to do.

I made it from Mexico City to Guadalajara, and the driver found me at the airport. He was so nice. He came inside and stood at a specific spot and sent a photo of where he was, smiling. Very easy to find. Very pleasant drive. I used google translate to tell him a few things. For example: "Me desperté a las 3 de mañana así que estaré muy emocionado por la cama." It's just always so great to be in a hotel room after a full day of traveling. The only thing better of course is home. I have tomorrow to myself, and then I get picked up early on Monday morning for my procedure. I'm so ready. This is a really helpful trick for the currency. Thank you! My only new airport update is that I missed my connecting flight because my first flight was kind of late and they were scheduled too close together, so I'm on the next flight two hours later. I took the chance to rest and buy some snacks. It's hard to tell what anything costs but I went for some beef jerky and they were marked as $35.50, I got three and with tax the total was $115.00 but it only charged my credit card $6.77. Their dollar sign means something else. Also going through immigration and security was hard because I had no idea what anybody was saying to me, so eventually the guy grabbed my body and pulled me to the side and did a pat down. He seemed satisfied. But then they searched my luggage, which I think also contributed to my delay. I only wet a little on the flight but I think I leaked. I have to pee now but I'm probably going to wait for my next flight to wet again.

That is so awesome. I can't wait for that feeling to happen.

I just landed in Mexico City! Gotta get off the plane and get through customs (I think?). I am so excited @BrownBobby is here! What a great surprise when I landed. I have another shorter flight to Guadalajara and then I'm supposed to get picked up by a driver.

It's kind of funny, I'm sitting on the plane and a minute ago it was takeoff time, and my countdown to Guadalajara that I've been waiting forever to end, hit zero seconds and then it disappeared 😁 Next countdown is the surgery... at less than 48 hours. Edit: taking off now!

My backpack is all diapers, everything else is in my suitcase. But they didn't see any problems in the scanners apparently. They only took my contact lens solution 🤣 No I was still dry. But he said the alarm set off in the groin and buttock and he needed to check it. He offered a private room but I said no. Although he did lift up my shirt a little bit and put his fingers around the diaper waistband. It was still fine and pretty quick.

Got through TSA and boarding now! My diaper did set off the alarm so I had to get patted down but it was fine.

I'm heading to the airport in about an hour. Gotta make sure I've thought of everything before the flight. I thought the flight was 8am but it's 8:55am. I'll leave home at 6am since I want to get to the airport by about 6:30am.

I will probably give updates the whole time 😄 I probably won't be able to help myself. Good idea I need to set multiple alarms!! I don't really have any paperwork but I have my ID and passport and I am going to do laundry and pack when I wake up at 2am.

I can't believe in 12 hours I'll be sitting at the gate about to board. I might try to fall asleep early now, and get up at 2am and get ready and go. 🤔

I actually already asked the coordinator and she said the nurse will take me to buy diapers so I don't need to bring any at all. Of course I am still going to bring some, but I think it will work OK to buy most of them down there.
