  1. My bed wedding started from a prescription change due to muscle cramping and spasms. I now wear a diaper every night and most nights wet without knowing while asleep. Sometimes I will slightly wake up but I will lay there and release and go back to sleep. When I told my doctor it was causing bedwetting. He recommended changing my medicine a little bit. Frankly I don't want to. I would rather be a bedwetter and sleep all night. But the problem is now. I'm really getting a strong desire to be incontinent. I had a chance a couple months ago to where 24/7 and make full use of my diaper. In fact, I enjoy catheter play and for multiple days war catheter and let it drain into my diaper. I am hooked! If up to me I would wear a catheter 24/7 and diapers 24/7.

  2. I am known for playing with catheters. And I'm confident that my catheter use has caused my stricture . This morning my pee stream was down to a real small dribble. So when I had a chance I dug out one of my smaller catheters so I could stretch out my urethra. My meatus is definitely the problem. I was able to get a fr18 in but at the start it was very uncomfortable. While I only left it in for about an hour, my pee stream was vastly improved after. But I did have a little blood in my urine so definitely there is a problem

  3. I love being a bedwetter. For most of my entire adult life I have never slept a complete night and always had to get up to go to the bathroom. As I matured it went from once to possibly three times a night. Now that I wear diapers to bed and due to a prescription change, I sleep the entire night. In the morning I wake up with a swollen diaper and rested because of a full night's rest. Even if I wake up during the night feeling the urge to go to the bathroom. I just lay there and let it flow and enjoy it and go back to sleep. Currently I have some urinary issues and I very well may end up being diaper dependent shortly. I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing.

  4. I currently have a urinary structure. It causes my pee stream to spray everywhere and really makes it messy when I use a toilet. Next week I have an appointment with my urologist to see what treatment is. From my research online, it shows that it could be anything from surgery to just a dilating of my restriction. My goal and in fact I'm going to ask if he will put in a catheter so that it will stretch out my stricture and then leave it in until things heal in the hopes that it doesn't return, which I read is very possible. Has anybody else dealt with a urinary structure and how did your urologist handle it?

  5. If your sleeping how would you know? Sometimes I barely wake while I'm going and than I go back to sleep. That happens once or twice a night. But some nights I don't wake at all and get up soaked.

    How do others manage

So what are you asking. If you share a room? Just worried about the bed? I bring a protective pad for the bed always. I stayed at a air BNB with my adult son and I just don't say anything. I figure it they don't ask, don't tell. As for the diaper I put on under my pajamas when I'm headed to bed and again don't advertise. If someone would ask I would say little as possible.

  7. I have played with catheters on my own before. Several months ago I had a cystoscope done because of recent bedwetting. But its due to a medicine change from my neurologist. He has done ultra sounds and medicine changes because of it but My urologist hates that I'm okay with wearing protection at night . At this point I'm just going to ask him straight up to recommend a catheter .  I have an enlarged prostrate. Currently have urination issues and am a bed wetter. I think a catheter works for all. The only thing is instead of a leg bag I will wear a diaper.  Problem solved.

  8. So recently I have had a problem that when I pee my stream splits several ways and sprays in multiple directions. Also when I am done it seems like my penis is still holding pee and then drains into my pad I am wearing. Also when peeing if I push to hard it stings in my meatus. The research I have done said it's likely a urethra stricture . There are several ways to treat it and one is stretching the urethra as an out patient followed by a catheter as it heals.  I'm going to ask my urologist if that's a option.

  9. I want my urologist to give me a catheter. What can I tell him that would help a decision to be made to give me a catheter. I know if I just tell him I want to simulate and continents he won't give it to me. What if I tell him some symptoms that I may have in which I truly may have? Maybe he will prescribe one. I already have an enlarged prostrate and at times my stream is just a dribble. I have already told him about it but he is in the let's try a medicine phase. Should I just tell him I want a catheter? I would rather be his ideal. My wife would accept it far easier if he said I should have one.

  10. Well I have started my 10-day goal of wearing a catheter continuously and letting it drain into a diaper. Currently I am at 3 hours of wearing a 24 FR. My goal is to not remove the catheter except for changing it and hopefully upgrading the size in a few days. I guess it will give me a crash course of how it feels to be incontinent and dealing with a constantly dribbling penis.

  11. So I am going to start experimenting with wearing a foley catheter long term. Most of my current experience with catheters have been short term , one hour to several hours to a rare full day. Usually I use a latex catheter with hydrophilic coating . I know there are allot of choices out there. My question is what's the most comfortable. Next month I will have 10 days I can wear a catheter. I also know that after several hours hey catheter can become uncomfortable. So in your experience what is the material of choice or catheter. They have Teflon coated, silicone coated, solid silicone, and that's just a state a few. Also, I am trying to increase in size so that means where I usually wear a 20 or a 22. I will be pushing it up to a 24 or a 26 and maybe by the end of that week a 28th. So I know with it being tighter in my urethra it can create more discomfort. So again, what is the catheter material of choice? Cost is no object! I figure if I'm going to be wearing it for multiple days. If not a solid week you basically get what you pay for.

  12. I have used oral gel with good success but my worry was if it would hurt my bladder. Also I have used tattoo numbing cream . It said topical and again I'm worried about it going up my my urethra. I know when I had a cystoscope the numbing cream they used was awesome. It's kind of funny I can buy catheters online without a prescription but I can't buy numbing cream.

  13. Number two would be my preferred choice, but instead of a homemade stent I would rather have a commercially made and professionally installed stent. And depending upon the length of being in I could reverse if absolutely needing or wanting. I would also be very willing to try long-term catheter use. As my urethra stretches, I could keep increasing the diameter of the catheter to the point that I would permanently be incontinent and always dripping.

Whilst not encouraging you, a sound is a more positive way to stretch things than a catheter. When trying a new stent design I have had success loosening the sphincter with a suitable sound.

I would love to try a stent but it scares me to make one and to lose it inside. Wish siliconenozzle made one

  15. So I enjoy catheter play. Several months ago I was intoxicated and played kinda rough. At that time the largest I could take was a 18fr but always have larger on hand. While playing I basically forced a 22fr in and filled the Foley ballon . It was definitely a stretch and was kinda painful but I left it in and passed out. The next morning when I woke the catheter was still in and I was laying in a pinkish puddle of urine. Definitely I tore something but after 12hrs my urine was just yellow. When I removed the catheter for the next few days it hurt pretty good to pee. Also urine would drip from my penis. It took a week for the dripping to stop. I figured my urethral sphincter was damaged causing incontinence.  In a couple months I will have about ten days I could wear a catheter. My thoughts are to start with a 22fr and each day try to force the next size in. My goal is to get to a 30fr as quick as possible hoping I will tear the fibers of my sphincter than leave it in and hope it heals in a dilated state causing incontinence. What is your opinion?

  16. So is there a drug out there that will make you incontinent? I know of several that have side effects of bedwetting. I am currently on one now. And while you don't automatically wet the bed the chances that you will are greatly increased. But is there a drug or prescription you can get that will make you be incontinent?

There is a frequent poster to some of the catheter groups on FL who can provide a detailed explanation. I don't know the proper etiquette so I won't post a direct link or any usernames.

Regardless, the short answer is apparently it takes "months" using progressively larger foley catheters on a full-time basis. And once the "end point" is reached you will likely need to continue cathing regularly in order to maintain the results. Although it seems that injuries to the (sphincter) muscles would result leakage, apparently it is the opposite-- such damage can cause scar tissue which obstructs flow. The poster (on FL) is very knowledgeable and strongly advises for "slow and steady" using safe/ best practices for long-term cathing.

If you have any trouble finding info you are welcome to PM me and I will point you in the right direction. To be clear, I have not (yet) tried the technique but am also interested in the subject. Some time (15 yrs +) ago, I experimented with foley catheters, keeping them in for up to a week at a time on occasion. That duration & frequency of usage did not cause incontinence, but certainly gave me an appreciation for the commitment required to go "all the way" (and enough for me to decide that I wasn't ready for it.)

I read that article and it made a lot of sense. My self I can wear an 18fr for an extended period. A 22fr will fit but I can only wear a few hours and can not move about freely without a little discomfort. My goal is to get to a 30fr or 10 mm for an extended period. From my understanding I will lose continence for a period of time afterwards but it is only temporary. My goal is to get a week of lost control with nothing in. Is that wrong to want that?

  18. So I have finally done it and put a catheter in this morning and wore it to work. As usual I stay very hydrated. It is kind of an odd feeling to reach down and feel my diaper getting more swollen and never feeling myself pee. Frankly I do miss the feeling of peeing so I need to get one of those modified catheters. I will say that I can feel the catheter in you. When I move around sometimes it stings a little bit but it's not unbearable. This is definitely something I could get used to.
