Those two sentences are in direct contradiction. Why wouldn't you want to be seen that way? Whats the problem with being seen that way? Whats wrong with it, given that you supposedly see both ways of being as equally valid?

I consider myself a lifestyle AB, but I gotta say what you are proposing stinks of elitism to me and I'm totally against it.

I'm kinda gonna agree with the last two posters, althought a separate section for us lifestyle ABs would be nice. However, if you look at it, the Baby Talk section kinda fits that discription a little... The Angel of Hope, Alice

Mischa, we mustn't forget to consider those who are into the AB thing for neither reason. I, myself, and others, identify only as PART AB. I am a diaper lover with some AB tendencies...I would "play" daddy, or baby to the right girl or boy, for lack of a better expression, depending on how those roles could work with a certain person. Primarily wearing diapers and wetting for gratification, I consider the AB thing to be something that comes with territory that I happen to enjoy under many, if any, varying circumstances. im new here and wanted to interduce myself as best as i can. im not good at spelling but i try. i have autism and learning and behavour difficults and it affects my day to day life even more so when people think im younger by the way i talk and sound. i wear diapers for need and have done since birth witch was hard grow up. that way i like to be a baby everytime i can. i live with my step parent and my dog and enjoy life to max. if you want to now more just ask. i come here to be acpeted and make friends.

After being on here for a while, I've noticed there's two different 'camps' of AB--those that are more into it as a sexual fetish or kink, and those who are ABs because it's a comfort zone for us. Can we get a section on our profiles to differentiate the 'comfort' ABs from the rest of the pack?

Okay, I forgot to put in there my personal mix of what makes up my AB-ness. 95% of it is the comfort-side, only 5% is sexually driven, and that's an AT MOST value. I'm not denying that there is a sexual component even for me, but it is such a small value as to be inconsequential. The sole reason I wanted to have this distinction is so that I wouldn't have to clarify with every other post that it's not my sexual kink, it's a coping/stress relief kink. To me, there is a big difference, being seen as someone who uses it as a comfort zone or a coping skill instead of a sexual kink opens up the possibility of having outsiders take a more fair look at us as a community. Possibly showing a slightly different face to the world could be the spark the community needs for the outside world to realize, "Hey, them Adult Babies aren't perverted, it's just a different way they found to deal with the stress in their life." I know that's about as likely as the Detroit Lions winning next season's Super Bowl, but they've got a shot. If I wanted it to sound elitist, I would have said "True AB" and "Sometimes AB" Like I've said in chat.....for some ABs its not about nooky, its about nooks...pure and simple.....or as pure and simple as I can get it. Since this request has been denied for the time being, the point is now moot.

I'm not thinking of this as holding the lifestylers or the ones that use ageplay as a coping skill/stress relief above the fetishists. But it would be a way to let people know in a way, why we are AB. Reference my thread on Coming Out Advice. For me, this isn't a sexual kink, it is how I deal with stress. I don't want to be seen as someone who uses this solely for sexual gratification--I won't deny that I'm 1000 times more attracted to the female form when said form is diapered, but the vast majority of why I am what I am is for pure comfort. The whole reason I like being in this community is we--for the vast majority--support one another, and I think that by having this differentation, we can support each other better.

Same here Being part of the TG world I can tell you that making exact 'classes' of diffeenbces is not only darn near impossinle, you end up with so many variations that you divide the community I understand your wanting a more concise listing Mischa, but I truly believe that we're all better off overall using the basic 'label' that bonds us together I'm hardly AB at all but I'm still part of the ABDL 'whole', and I accept and embrace every one of us as my own kind- even if we're different Bettypooh
