Codymoogle Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 According to this site the price "per bag" for Tena Slip Maxi is $60...The picture, if I'm not mistaken, is of a large bag that says 26 diapers per bag. You may get more interest if you tell how many diapers there are per bag. Also - unless you're selling a high amount of very absorbent, very comfortable diapers, I HIGHLY doubt anyone would pay $150 by itself, let alone $150 plus shipping. Either way, good luck in selling them and I hope you can get your crib soon. ~ moogle
Guest MunchKitten Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 so your saying a bag of tena is almost the price of a case of bambinos?!

AutieAB Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 According to that site, apparently. Actually it says the price per bag is S$60.00. That's Singapore Dollars SGD$60.00 = USD$43.08 = GBP£28.10 = slightly above the typical UK price for a bag. Tena Slip have always been and probably will always be prohibitively expensive to get in the USA. This was obviously a problem before companies like Secure/Bambino came along and started up in the USA. The Secure X-Plus is almost directly comparable to a Tena Slip Maxi... There are some differences of course and it's been so long since I wore a Tena Slip Maxi that I'm not sure I could accurately compare them in terms of quality but at the end of the day, IMO the differences certainly aren't worth USD$150 + S&H for 41 diapers.

Tena slips maxi's are around £16 for a bag of 21 when ordered from boots the chemist. (UK)
AutieAB Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Tena slips maxi's are around £16 for a bag of 21 when ordered from boots the chemist. (UK) That's a lot cheaper than they used to be. I remember paying about £20-£25/bag (albeit online). Has the quality or the pack size dropped? ISTR that the bag size used to be 24?
FlexiGirl Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 i only know they come in a much more compressed pack to ones from years ago.
Codymoogle Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Actually it says the price per bag is S$60.00. That's Singapore Dollars Aha! I thought something was weird about that S before the dollar sign. I'm not sure I could accurately compare them in terms of quality but at the end of the day, IMO the differences certainly aren't worth USD$150 + S&H for 41 diapers. Definitely...Very few diapers are worth that...With cloth that would be an insanely awesome steal to the point of skepticism in my eyes, but for disposables... Most diapers are $0.60 to $2.00 per diaper - these are rough estimates, I don't want to take the time to compare all of them...But Depends, at $13.99 for a bag of 22 in small/medium (last time I checked anyway) are about $0.64/diaper...Up to Bambinos at about $1.34/diaper in medium (Bambino's site), Abena X-Plus at about $1.38/diaper in medium (XP Medical), and Molicare Super Plus at about $1.36/diaper in medium (XP Medical)... Three of the most popular brands of diapers in the ABDL community (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) don't even hit the $1.50 mark per diaper. Yet OP was asking for what amounts to be, if it was indeed 41 diapers for sale, about $3.66/diaper. Apparently, though, he has deleted his original post in favor of this... :-P ...so I suppose my post is irrelevant now...Hopefully someone can use it as a guideline, though, so I'll leave it up. ~ moogle
