A Poem

Not sure if this is the place to put this, but yeah....

You say we’re all even

You say we’re all kind

You say one moment of your time, will create less crime

You say we’re all glamorous

You say we’re all studs

But when do I get to say I’d rather die than be a dud

You say the futures coming

I say the futures bleak

You say just one more day and our problems are washed away

You say my son in heaven you’ll be who you’re meant to be

I ask why can’t I be me right here and right now

You say the time will come

I say it’s been too long

Just one more day in this life is proving myself wrong.

For once being depressed has done me some good. I'm not a typical fan of writing poetry and nor am I great at it...

It makes no difference whether you're good or not. Poetry (for me) is about writing from the heart, and if your heart has something to say then let it. It's surprising what comes of it at times and is even better for releasing those pent up feelings.
