  1. look at this

I want that, with wifi or bluetooth remote control .... So someone has the remote control and controls you :))

You get caught up in it by surprise. Or with a random application. That would be great. We should know more about the design, know how it holds while being comfortable.

    Stent 3.1 update:

tl;dr 3 days straight, so far, including nights. Almost no discernible irritation. Much, much more comfortable at night.

So it turns out the exact angle and radius of the two bends in my stent design matter a lot. The bend near the front (urine exiting part) of the stent was not tight enough. As a result, i didn't actually get the retaining quality of the design. Stent 3.1 is basically the exact same as 3.0 except with a longer bend in the front. So far, ZERO movement. I've even tried pushing it in to the bladder; refuses to go in. This is fantastic since, in theory, I can ditch the retrieval line. I dont see a real reason to risk it at this time though.

The real benefit of this is when sleeping. When sleeping, I found that the previous stent designs would slip backwards a little bit, and whenever I clamp down my external sphincter, the end of the stent is halfway in, halfway out of the sphincter. This causes significant discomfort, and a lot of irritation over the course of the night. Of course, this isn't something I can control since the sphincter naturally wants to stay closed. But now, the problem doesn't exist at all. Much more comfortable to sleep. I think the sleep irritation was the major limiting factor in how long i could keep previous stents in.

Stent 3.1 has been in and out for the past week or so. I had to get each bend angle and radius just right. Fortunately, the adjustments were small enough to do just by hand bending the stent, and didn't require building a new one. (good thing too since I'm almost out of the catheter size I use for stents.) So after working the stent till it just about melds with my urethra's natural curves, I've arrived at the completed version 3.1

Man, what a difference a well fitted stent makes. For the past few days, I've been the most comfortably stented I've ever been. Before, the standard for me was "tolerable while moving, comfortable when still", but I've been routinely forgetting that I have a stent in at all... until of course I feel a trickle of pee start. Which then turn into a stream, and I instinctively try to stop it, only to find that I can't control it at all.

With the previous stents, I think about a week was the limit before it became a little too uncomfortable to sleep and stuff, and I would end up taking it out to be able to get to sleep for the night. Another thing I've really noticed is that stent irritation is significantly worse when you're dehydrated. Seriously, it felt like the urethra was being rubbed raw by every movement. This quickly went away once I drank enough water. Anyone else notice this? Well either way, I'm not about to complain about an excuse to stay well hydrated, and therefore more leaky :) I've been doing some heavy exercise in some pretty brutal heat yesterday, and the stent felt just fine though. So I think I'm definitely making progress.

I had never imagined a stent could be so comfortable I would not notice it was in unless it was causing me to leak at that moment. To think that I believed I'd reached the limit of stent comfort with v2! Had I stopped there, I would never have been able to stay incontinent for more than a week, and there would always have been some discomfort with it. Just goes to show we should never stop trying to make things better. I'm hoping for the best with v 3.1 though. So I hope this case inspires you all to keep working on stents!

    it's a fantastic new !

could you share your design and measures,  diameter and length , picture etc... thk you !!

  3. I did not understand what you recommend in the end on the finish of the tube of the lower part which is in the urethra.  Because I have the same pain as you but I do not think it comes from the line but the end of the stent that rubs in my urethra at the base of Penis.

    Hi fellow stenters.

Just like to share some small mods to the Cathdiap stent that I am trying out. Rather than using the internal curved tube I am trying some flexible compression springs. My theory is that these will flex, but spring back to position to lock to stent in. Hopefully this will reduce the hot spot I get behind my balls, from 20190423_101218.thumb.jpg.968a5070ff74d332a634505b879845ba.jpgthe stiff tube.

It also makes insertion a breeze as the stent straightens out to conform to the urethra as you slide it in. None of the initial discomfort from scratches after insertion.

You may also notice a small length of sterling silver tube that I use to connect the retrieval cord. I dont know if this helps in infection control, but i dont think it hurts.

In now and flowing nicely. I'll wear it for a few hours and see how it goes.

Ps. The spring size is 3/16 x 1 3/8 x .016, which seems to suit the 6mm x 1.0mm OD silicon tube. (Sorry for the weird mashup of imperial and metric)

Great ! can you tell us where to buy the used equipment?

  5. to start in your place I would not venture to leave the stent without secure line. About me I have a Prince albert piercing, I attach the line to the ring and the thread is hidden in the ring in the urethra.
otherwise your stent also seems very interesting if it does not move, can you explain how you build it? what foley probe do you use from which diameter? the measures and how you assemble them? can you explain step by step and if possible with photo? you fold the end inside the pipe? thanking you and sorry for my english it's google translation that does the work.

I noticed this topic has been corrupted, so I restored the first message of this topic. I copied it from my account on fetlife. It also includes a link of a video I put on youporn.com.

Here are also some links to pics on my fetlife account. They show how I make my stents. You need to subscribe on fetlife if you want to take a look.

Thank you for your answers. I am french and I have trouble with english sorry. I'm not sure I understand some steps despite the pictures on fetlife. Could you give me the link of the video on youporn? is there on youporn the video of the making? do you have links on amazon or elsewhere to buy silicone and teflon tubing ?
because if I understand correctly I have to buy a teflon tubing for the inside and a silicone tubing for the outside.

I saw that you sterilized the stent in boiling water. Until now I did it in bleach a little diluted what do you think?

    thank you

    Ok.

    I seem to have success.

Boyhood's talk about silicon bending made me try something.

Its in. Im completely incontinent and dripping away. It is a cross between cathdiap and loveable-guys designs.

I took a silicon intermediate cath and basically over a very low cooker flame applied heat and bent. The first attempt i gave it to much and it melted so you need to only briefly hold in close to flame. Put it this way it was done be hand and did not burn myself so that quick.

I thought it would spring back but with careful bending and not doing it to much at a time so as not to kink the tubing after cooling under tap it held its shape.

I the used lovable guys idea with the white cap and fishing line.

Result is a very soft and still flexible stent that goes in a treat.

So far after a lie down, walking about and a trip to the supermarket there does not seem to be any movement.

I will post a pic of it later when I take it out and update about movement.

    :):):)

I found your design very interesting. Can you give more details to buy and build it? I would like to do the same because it looks much simpler to manufacture than others. There is only one material at once? the silicone is not too soft to prevent the stent from sliding in one direction or the other? how did you smooth the tips? how did you attach the recovery line?
the silicone that you use is this one? same diameter?

Personally I have a Prince albert piercing so I will attach the other end of the line to my piercing I do not need a ring so that we will see absolutely nothing from inside.
Having made several urinary infections with catheters I hate to be able to test the stent that seems to limit very strongly that!
in the meantime I'm going to do what I read in another post, it's by using the catheters to make a small hole on the side, I think that actually having the urine flowing into the ureter must be good against infections, in addition, the feeling of feeling the urine run inside must be extra. While waiting for your return and links on amazon if possible to buy all that is necessary. I thank you in advance
