  1. So I found a medical supply store about 2 miles from my condo! I went in and as I was looking around this nice lady asked me how she could help. I said adult diapers, she said they were all in back but then she said they had samples at the desk I could look at . Even though I was clearly looking at diapers none of the other workers even looked up, very respectful. I am sure she knew they were for me (as i crinkled when i walked ), but the whole time she asked questions about what size and everything was "the person wearing them"!!!! I go a 12 pack of nightengale, which is what they had for tape on diapers. They also had pullups, but I plan to try these first. They sold in cases too!! I am so happy I can drive close by and buy something that is not depends
  2. Gir would have to be near the top, along with Calvin For reasons I could write a dissertation on, I detest bugs bunny.....!
  3. lol, I definitely learned my lesson. I am just very happy I was in my place and not in class.
  4. Ok, I do hope this question is not in ignorance... It seems like most of the basic cloth diapers are just layered flannel or some other absorbent material. Would it be just as easy to go to the fabric store, buy that material and sew layers together?
  5. So I am wanting to order some cloth diapers, I have one from ACD, and its not bad. I looked through some of the reviews on DD but there are so many, and most have few reviews. I want cloth diapers, not prefold. I wold prefer if they were velcro or some easier fastener than safety pins but this is not necessary. What are your favorite? What would you suggest? I am sorry to trouble like this as I am sure many people have asked this, or something similar. If you do not want to respond again, just ignore, or link me to an older post. ...and if you have any plastic pants selection, I would be most appreciative. I have liked diapers for a while just now I am REALLY getting into it all.
  6. on the depends pull ups, they outside only feels slightly different from the inside. I just made the silly assumption when put the diaper on that it was right side out.
  7. I work at a Psych hospital, adolescents and preadolescents at that, nobody wears diapers. Sad really, since some of the patients with aggressive personality disorders could probably benefit from a little regression... but I would never want to go through the struggle to get them into diapers, we get enough struggles as it is
  8. I ordered some cloth/plastic pants and some attends. Depends are all I could find in stores around me so until better items arrive (and i get more money to buy more), this is what I have to work with. Sigh...*dreams of big fluffy diapers*
  9. I peed my pants...with my diaper on So when I got home I quickly stripped and put myself in a diaper, a depends pull up for this time. Changing my mind I then removed the depends and decided to shave down there, nice and smooth. So after shaving I grabbed that same depends and pulled it on. I also pulled on some pajama pants over. About 30 minutes later I feel the urge to pee, so I just let go. Next think I feel the pee running down my leg, and my pants are all wet on the inside legs. I'm thinking wtf? I have a diaper on and my pants are partially soaked. Turns out when I removed the diaper it turned inside out and I did not check when I put it back on. So when I started to pee, it hit the waterproof side and ran off, down my legs. Luckily I was close to the bathroom. Has anybody else done something silly like this?
  10. " (assuming you have not just peed and have some urine in your bladder)"
  11. Yep! that is what i was getting at. In a sense, reconditioning
  12. It is at least good that she wants to try You should balance it out by being/dressing more "manly" and "sexy" at other times. That may help win it over
  13. (yes, i realize i made a typo on the subject, i meant to type News) So I do not know who this will all apply to but I found that a major American pharmacy chain sometimes carries plastic panties. The drug store is CVS, but only the ones a with Home Health section. I went into one thinking they would have more than depends or store brand, they didn't. So let down I decided just to look through the other home health stuff, wheelchairs, seat cushions, etc...Then I saw the incontinence section. While there were no fancy diapers they did have a few things, protective underwear (more just extra padded normal underwear), large changing pads, and most excitedly to me, plastic pants. They are nylon pull up style, with elastic around the waist and leg openings. my new plastic pants now, they are nothing fancy but when I had none yet, they are at least something. Also make sure to call the stores before you go and ask if they have home health.
  14. If a person does not like wet diapers then it would be rather silly for them to try to lose control via a stumulus. The payoff is theoretically wet diapers, it's just that, so yes it is only meant for those who want wet diapers. Brian, yea that's why I put it as 'bell', and that your bell could be anything.
  15. the payoff is that you peed your diapers, almost out of your control
  16. Good points sarah_ab and PArms, I wonder if this would just amplify our ability to do so. Or if our darn cerebellums get in the way maybe it would work in sleep.
  17. Honestly, I thought of it in a matter of minutes. I know the psychology from my degree, and when my anatomy teacher brought of the idea of it in regards to human responses it just clicked. It is not so much that I have a lot of time, I just think all of the times. I love theorizing and intellectual ideas, so fun!
  18. I am not sure who here is at all familiar with Dr. Ivan Pavlov's work in Psychology on classical conditioning, so i will do a quick summary, and post a link. Understand his experiment has to do with an idea for mine. The short and simplified version-> dog salivates for food. Dr. gives dog food and rings bell. Dogs mind associates bell with food. Repeat bell with food many times. Dr. rings bell without food, dog salivates. Slightly longer version-> Pavlov noticed that in the presence of a favorable food, a dog salivates. He also noticed that if the same person brought him food every time the dog would begin to salivate at the sight of the person, associating them with the food. So basically what Pavlov did is that when he present food to a dog (triggering salivation), he also rang a bell. He did this many times, to get the dogs subconscious mind to associate food with the sound of the bell. Eventually he could just ring the bell and the dog would salivate...if he did it too many times without give the dog food the dog would no longer salivate at the bell. So long as Pavlov gave food every once in a while with the bell, the dog would continue to salivate at the bell, regardless of the presence of food. This is called an Acquired Automatic Reaction. Unconditioned Stimulus = food Unconditioned Response = salivation conditioned stimulus = bell conditioned response = salivation OK, here is my idea/theory Using this model, replace food with need to pee (tightness in bladder), and/or poop. Replace salivation with pee and/or poop. Bell can be bell or anything. I am wondering if every time, right before you use the restroom you ring a bell. Do this every time you pee for a while. Then try ringing that bell and i theorize that if you are conditioned enough, you will start to pee (assuming you have not just peed and have some urine in your bladder). Your neural connections should start to connect the sound of the bell with beginning to pee. Ideally your 'bell' may not want to be a common sound in case this works, you do not really want to piss yourself every time somebody rings the door bell. lol. (basically I imagine this is what the hypnotic tapes try to get you to do, along the same theory. mine is just more direct) If you do try this pleas let us know if it works. I may just do so myself, though I want to find some noise/conditioned stimulus that is not common. thoughts? questions?
  19. While your wife is technically correct on her points, at face value, if we look deeper you may find something. 1. While we usually advise kids to grow up, we advise them to be themselves above all. Obviously you know the whole tabboo thought process your diaper wearing faces, but you made a mature decision. It is something which like most of us you may have tried to repress, but it is deep in your subconcious. Your 'need' is great. Why is it so bad? What is the real harm if it only does good. Hell it's for your sanity and stress dealing. Could always hide from kids, or just be honest. Your kids know and trust you, you should trust them. Kids can handle more than we often give them credit for. 2. I think you are wearing them for the intended purpose. Unless you put them on your head, then that is just forgetting to read the package. 3. They can be just as sanitary if you clean up well, and I'm sure baby wipes do a better job than toilet paper. Better than most public toilets they are too. Not the most solid argument I know, but an introspective point of view. I hope this helps some.
  20. Sadly I have a few onesies which that is happening to, holes appearing, snaps coming loose. I plan to replace them promptly
  21. Well, a torture device sounds fun for every once in a while...he he. I completely agree with the spanking too!
  22. I work at a psychiatric hospital for adolescents. I help with therapy, groups and other such things.
