Abena Looks Different?

Anyone that has purchased a new case of Abenas lately might notice they look more "medical-esque" now...Mine have the standard yellow wetness indicators, but also a big fat swirly blue thing around it! What's going on with that??

Pics uploaded to show what I mean...

I'm confused and somewhat upset...Hopefully this is just a one time thing??

Edit: They seem to crinkle a lot less, too...

Edit: See the second post of mine in this topic regarding crinkles...

I just received some in the mail about a week ago, the only thing that was different was the packaging. However will have to take a better look at them.

I have had a couple of packets arrive to days ago so have not opened them yet.

They do have different packaging.

So when I open them I will take a look. I don't think you can miss the changes :)

I saw some blurb about this somewhere recently (probably on here). The new design is apparently to tell 'caregivers' how wet the diaper is... Like they can't tell that with their own two eyes

[edit to add] Here...

A "graduation scale"? Aren't the wetness indicators themselves enough? *shrug*

Meh, I'll get used to it. They haven't really lost the crinkle (the second one out of the pack was fine) and they actually feel softer than the old Abenas after the initial shock.

Looks like just a change in the wetness indicator. They changed it a few years back too... but other than that the diaper itself remained the same. I've ordered two cases of X-plus in the past few weeks... we'll see if they have the new design once I get into them.
