I was wondering about the type of activities a furry does. If you were to create a poll of various activities a furry could do, what would be on the list.

I am not a Fur, nor do I speak for the Fur community. However, I have several friends who are. Furs are, for the most part, no different than anyone else. Their 'fursona' is in some ways equivalent to those of us who are AB feel when we want to be little, something we are not, but wish we were.

One thing Furs do have that ABs and DLs don't really have are Cons or conventions. Public conventions for a weekend or three days where people come, dress up in fursuits, gather, socialize and mingle. The biggest of these in the U.S. is most likely AnthroCon in Pittsburg, followed by Further Confusion in San Francisco. There are also regional Cons, but AC and FC seem to be the big ones for the US. They are reported on by local media, and even national media. They are held in public hotels or convention centers.

There are "BabyFurs" who go to these cons, and some wear diapers and use them during the con.

As with most things, the number of males to females is a high ratio, and the number of female Babyfurs is much lower yet.

As most people would not actively dress up in baby clothes and diapers and act as a baby in public, Furs also do not act out their fur character in public, either. You could work with a Fur and never know it, just as you could work with an AB, Crossdresser, someone into BDSM or D/s and never know it.

As with all those other lifestyles, Furs have local gatherings, parties, etc. They gather with friends they make online. But, in the end, they are normal people, just like the rest of us.

I figured the normal people part out want I really am wondering is the extra stuff they do for fun. As an AB, I love sitting in a wet diaper with a bottle or pacifier in my mouth. What would a Fur do that is equivalent?

Johnny,

While you may sit with a baba or paci in a wet diaper, that may not hold true for all ABs. Some may like playing in their playpen, or being outside playing with a ball. To each their own.

So it is with a fur. A BabyFur may enjoy doing the same thing you do, sitting in a wet diaper with a baby bottle or pacifier Some may enjoy watching cartoons, anime, or playing things like WOW or COD4 (at least a few I know do).

Each is different and unique. However, maybe there will be one who can tell you things they like to do.

*Pounces Jen!* Now I wonder what babyfurs you were talking about? *grins*

And to help answer the above, being a babyfur, it is more of an outlook than what we do that distinguishes us from humans. Being a fur gives us something uniquely common with other furs and that is a similar bond that ABs would share with each other in comparison to the normal population.

As furs, we incorporate animal attributes into our lives whether it be adult or baby. Furs vary greatly amongst each other and each is a indiviudal, furry doesn't define who we are as such, but it's something we share and some of us feel at our cores. We have our own words we call things. It's not uncommon to get a happy 'murr' out of us if we are hugged. We tend to be more hugging than normal people, but then there are furs who are very shy and don't. Often the animal that we choose as our 'fursona' (our inner furry self we would like to be) has some aspects we like, for me, a kangaroo. Baby roos are somewhat timid and love to hide in the safety of their mother's pouch. I am definitely known to hide :3 They are group animals and enjoy a few close friends around.

Most of the furs I tend to meet are Canine, wolves, Huskies, and foxes, and some like to wear collars as a symbol of belonging to their mate, or just because they feel it connects them to their fursona.

I am a fursuiter, one who wears a suit made to look like my fursona, do not call them mascot or costumes, there is a difference. And most fursuiters tend to be outgoing, playful and famous for mischief. However, fursuiters only make up about 10% of convention goers.

Babyfurs make up a small portion as well, and almost all of those are male. Which makes me an oddity in my own subgroups. XD

And of course, seemingly like all things, some people attach a strong sexual aspect to being furry, just as many DLs do but that varies with each person. And for me it's not all about that ever. Although that is a part of life as well.

As you said, you liked to sit in a wet diaper with a paci or bottle, a babyfur would do much the exact same. He or she may just envision him or herself to be a baby animal instead of a human toddler, they may yip instead of coo or just remain silent.

Anyway, hope that helped, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

That comment was made to an earlier post I made in this thread concerning babyfurs in Second Life.

This little bloo roo, as she terms herself, is one of my granddaughters in Second Life, and truly, the love of my life...as all my babies in SL are.
