Villainy Posted June 5 Posted June 5 I started bedwetting training a little under 2 months ago and I've already started to see some very encouraging results! If I'm drunk before I go to bed, I now seem to consistently wet myself without waking up. Other than a few times at university, this never used to happen to me. More interestingly, I've now wet myself twice in the last two days without waking up while sober - for the first time since I was a kid. Very curious if the same will happen again tonight and continue further into this week. I really didn't think things would progress this quickly, but I'm excited about it and hopeful I'll continue to see progress. 2
Villainy Posted June 5 Author Posted June 5 My routine: - Staying hydrated throughout the day, especially close to nighttime. I don't record how much I drink each day, but my pee is more often than not very clear. I'm probably overhydrated. - During daytime, I sometimes spend entire days diapered and I'll pee as soon as there's any urine to be let out, without holding. I had been doing this on-and-off before the bedwetting training too. I'm at the point that it's very easy for me to pee immediately without much conscious thought while wearing diapers during daytime if I want. - If I'm not doing the above approach (sometimes I'm not in the mood for diapers or it's not practical to wear), then I'll still go to the toilet frequently. This is usually every 1-2 hours (partially because of how much water I'm drinking, that I genuinely often do feel like I need to pee that much) - I've practiced peeing while laying down during daytime a lot, so that it's a bit easier to do and doesn't require as much conscious effort - Wearing high capacity diapers every single night, no exceptions (including when I visited my family for a few days last month). Also, the diapers are overkill enough for me to have full trust in them to not leak (mix of Incontrol BeDry and NRU Str8Ups). - Before I go to sleep, I drink some more water and avoid using the toilet ideally at least 30 minutes before I go to bed. This was the hardest thing for me to adjust to earlier on, because for most of my life I've had a psychological need to go to the toilet and completely empty my bladder before being able to fall asleep. I now seem to have 'fixed' this though. - If I wake up needing to pee during the night, I'll pee in the diaper while trying to stay as asleep as possible (don't get up, don't shift position, try to pee without thinking about it while going back to sleep immediately). If I do wake up fully, then I'll also drink more water before going back to sleep. - Hypnosis. I'm doubtful this actually did anything, but I thought I'd mention it for completeness sake. I mainly did this because I'd seen it recommended in some guides, but also because I liked the idea of it from when I've read about it in fictional stories. - A bedwetting calendar app, for tracking and motivation!
chomper Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Congratulations on your rapid progress! I've employed similar techniques, but it took me almost 2 years to start seeing results. Another year to get to the point where I'm wetting more nights than I'm not. This is all to say that if your bedwetting becomes less frequent in the short-term, don't be discouraged!

Sadly, I woke up dry last night, breaking my two day streak. It probably was a bit naive to hope that this streak would continue indefinitely. I have read from other people on the same journey who've had intermittent success, alongside extended dry spells. I'm just hoping this doesn't become a long dry spell for me. In any case though, it's very motivating that I've already started to see some results.

My experience is that it's almost perversely disinclined to be 'encouraged'. Any kind of specific focus on it for me sent me back to being dry at night for prolonged periods of time. I've learned now to try to ignore it and as a result, wet the bed frequently enough to mean that I would not dare sleep without a nappy on. I was a lot slower than you. It was several months of 24/7 before the first unambiguous sleep-wetting event occurred but unlike you, prior to that I'd been 100% dry at night since I was 3 years old. 1

Hmmm, that is something to keep in mind. It's hard for me to not focus on it and get excited when wettings do happen, though. Tonight was another night where I wet myself, but I don't fully count it because it was while drunk. It is crazy how quickly the alcohol-induced bedwetting has happened - I almost wonder if I was just pre-disposed to it anyway. Since starting my bedwetting training, I've wet myself almost every single time I've had significant amounts of alcohol before bed. The only time it didn't happen was when there was a large gap between the time of my last drink and when I actually went to sleep, so I sobered up a bit. The caveat is that when I have gone to sleep drunk, I might have been drunk enough to not remember if I'd woken up to pee (if that's what has been happening), but I'm reasonably confident I've stayed asleep each of those times.

Congratulations, it’s good to hear from someone new with the desire. Like you, after a few unplanned alcohol induced nocturnal accidents one night I drank before bed hoping to wet in my sleep. It worked, the very first time it worked. After that success I did the alcohol wet the bed thing over and over utilizing less and less alcohol till, to my amazement, I began to wet the bed without drinking. And yes, after drinking is nice, but nowhere near the thrill of doing it without alcohol. Better yet is an unplanned/unprepared for accident in a difficult situation. It’s traumatic at the time but a real buzz afterwards. Hope your bedwetting progresses. 1

I haven't drunk alcohol with the intent of wetting myself. Each time it's happened, I've been out at bars with friends and then woke up in the morning to a pleasant soggy diaper surprise. I thought it was odd that the alcohol-wettings turned on immediately after I started bedwetting training, but maybe it's less unusual than I thought given you seem to have had a similar experience. How long did it take for you to start wetting while sober? On 6/7/2026 at 8:16 PM, WBxx said: And yes, after drinking is nice, but nowhere near the thrill of doing it without alcohol. Villainy Posted June 8 Author Posted June 8 My stats so far. Two of those wettings were done sober, while the other five times happened after drinking alcohol.

The one I'm using is a free app called Bed Wetting Calendar. I use it on Android, but it looks like they also have it on iOS. I like that it's very customisable in terms of templates, icons, and backgrounds. Would highly recommend it! I've shown below what I've customised my app to look like on the base screen. There's another app that I haven't experimented with much which also seems really good called DiapStash. This one is more for day-to-day wearing rather than specifically at night, but it can also be used for bedwetting tracking. 1
WBxx Posted June 9 Posted June 9 22 hours ago, Villainy said: How long did it take for you to start wetting while sober? It took two to three years of frequent alcohol induced wetting before it began happening without drinking. And yes, in the beginning I got drunk to wet, but soon realized a well-timed beer or two before bed was equally effective without the day after pain. Years later I wet most nights with nary a drop of alcohol and am happier for it. Like your visuals. 1
Villainy Posted June 23 Author Posted June 23 So... I may have achieved my goal after only about 2 months (or at least I think I must be very close now). Maybe I'm speaking prematurely or I'm jinxing myself by making this post (like how my initial creating of this thread was followed by a dry streak), but over the last 11 days I've now wet myself at least 9 of those nights. There was also one night where I thought I possibly woke up to pee, but the memory was so faint I couldn't remember for sure - so I could have even had around a 90% rate over that period. 3
