Elfy Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Emma is a young woman in a world that is inherently unfair to young women. In this parallel universe, women develop their motor skills much later than men. If a young woman develops her skills early she can move out of the "specialised" women's classes in time to take her tests with the men, and have an entirely different trajectory for life. The question is: Will Emma get there in time? Final exams are coming up and as desperate as Emma is, she's still struggling. Things are made even more complicated by the arrival of a guy who upends her world view. --- I'm only able to write as much as I do thanks to the amazing support of my readers. I grumbled as I rolled over wanting some more sleep, the thickness between my legs told me that it hadn’t been a dry night. It wasn’t much of a surprise; I think I’d had one dry night in my life and that had been sheer luck. My nursery was always the worst in the mornings. The overwhelming pinkness seemed to glow even brighter shortly after dawn, with the sun that was now streaming through the window making me squint. My pink curtains were so thin they were more for show than anything else. This had been my room for as long as I could remember, and it had hardly changed at all in the time aside from the furniture getting bigger. Here I was, one month past my eighteenth birthday, and my surroundings were the same as one month after my first. The one thing I had convinced my parents to do was add an extra bookshelf with some of my favourite books, a small concession to my actual age. I grabbed a frilly pink pillow and held it over my head in a desperate attempt to block out the real world for a few more minutes. It was no use. My senses were already waking up. I could hear footsteps, probably my younger brother, stomping up and down the landing. The smell of bacon, Dad’s favourite, sizzling in a pan wafted through the air. That was the duty of my mom, of course, to make sure Dad’s breakfast was cooked and his clothes washed and ironed before work each morning. It would be my duty too soon, no matter how much I hated the idea of it. I grumbled as I rolled on to my back. I kicked off the blanket that had felt cosy during the night but was now making me too sweaty to reveal my pyjamas. As pink as the rest of the room my sleepwear was very childish decorated as it was by pictures of sleeping bunnies. Underneath was, of course, my ever-present diaper. I didn’t need to reach down to know it was soaked. The bulky overnight padding successfully keeping my bed dry was as familiar as it was hated. “Morning!” Mom started talking before the door had opened but by the time she finished her singsong greeting she was already halfway to my crib. I didn’t say anything, nor did I uncover my face. The morning routine was set in stone, and my participation was not needed for most of it. Mom’s thin-wristed hand slipped between the thick bars of my baby bed and then reached down under the waistband of my pyjama pants to press against my diaper. I don’t know why she bothered with this part. It wasn’t as if I was likely to be dry. “Let’s get you changed and ready for school.” Mom said. The side of my crib came down and I finally pushed the pillow off my head. With another grumble I rolled sideways and then swung my legs over the side of my bed. I stood up and almost fell straight into mom. “Oops, careful.” Mom said with a chuckle. I didn’t find it funny. It was another in a long list of examples that I still wasn’t ready for what I truly wanted; to get out of these damn diapers and start to get taken seriously. I wasn’t optimistic about achieving that dream any time soon though. According to Dad it had taken years before Mom was out of diapers completely. Mom held my hand as we walked over to the changing table. I hoisted myself up and lowered my pyjama bottoms helpfully for Mom, any chance to show I could be responsible I wanted to grab with both hands. “Is this really necessary?” I asked as I rubbed my eyes and looked up at the glow-in-the-dark shooting stars that decorated my ceiling. “You know it is.” Mom’s hand patted the sagging round diaper. “You could at least let me TRY to potty train.” I complained. “Baby, you know that’s not up to me.” Mom said as she pulled the tapes on the diaper. I sighed and let my head roll dispiritedly to the side. No, it wasn’t Mom’s decision. It wasn’t even Dad’s. This was an argument we’d had on the changing table countless times; it was one I knew I couldn’t ever win. “Honestly, baby, I bet all your little friends don’t give their poor Mommies this much grief every morning.” Mom pressed some cool baby wipes against my crotch causing me to jump. “Well, maybe I just want it more than them.” I mumbled. “Emma, if you want to get out of diapers you need to find yourself a husband.” Mom said, “You know that. Any progress on that front?” “No.” I replied shortly. “You should get a move on, baby.” Mom said. God, I hated that pet name, “If you want to get out of diapers, you’ll need to find yourself a man to marry. You know, when your father took over changing my diapers from my Daddy it was a really romantic moment.” I stared at Mom with furrowed eyebrows. She couldn’t be serious. She seemed to notice my expression as she smiled and continued. “We were young and in love.” Mom said with a wistful far-off look in her eyes, “We were nervous and that intimacy of the first diaper change really helped bring us closer together.” I sighed and bit my tongue to stop myself from talking back. My legs were lifted and rolled back as the wet diaper was pulled out from under me. My feet were held in the air until Mom had flattened the new disposable and slipped it under my rear end. When my butt came back down it was on top of a fresh crinkling diaper. The sides were pulled up and taped closed with the speed of an expert who had been changing my diapers for eighteen years… which is exactly what Mom had been doing. “Alright, wait right there whilst I get your clothes.” Mom said. She put a hand on my chest as I tried to get up, “Don’t sit up. We don’t want you to fall.” Mom’s lack of faith in me was annoying. Sure, like ninety-nine percent of girls my age I had some trouble with coordination and could be a bit clumsy, but it wasn’t like I was totally incapable of looking after myself. When Mom turned to head to the closet, I decided to ignore her and sat up, I swayed a little as my balance tried to catch up to the movement but I didn’t fall of. Success. Mom came back over with my outfit for the day. I let out a deep sigh. None of my outfits were what I would describe as “grown up” but this one was particularly childish. A pink t-shirt with a picture of a unicorn flying through the sky, a rainbow trail coming out of the back of it. Over the top Mom had selected a denim dress that came up to the middle of my chest with straps that went up and over my shoulders. She helped me off the table and I didn’t need to look into the mirror to know that it barely covered my diaper. The in-built petticoat pushed the dress out in every direction. I tried to flatten it all down to give myself more cover and hopefully make the outfit look more mature, but it didn’t work, as soon as I flattened one bit another part would stick out. Mom completed my outfit with the fashion accessory all young women and girls had. A pacifier with a big latex bulb, a pink mouth guard and a long piece of rainbow coloured ribbon that attached it to a metal clip on the front of my dress. The pacifier bobbed against my chest ready to be pushed into my mouth as soon as a man had decided I had done enough talking. I was still trying to make myself presentable when Mom took my hand and led me out of the nursery. The fresh diaper crinkled loudly in the otherwise quiet landing, it was a sound I had almost tuned out having become so used to it but just occasionally, when I was particularly frustrated, my ears heard the tell-tale rustle common in every house with girls younger than their mid-twenties around the world. As I waddled down the stairs the familiar sounds and smells of breakfast came wafting down the hallway to me. The smell of eggs and bacon frying, for my Dad and Brother, of course, we women were expected to watch our figures so I knew it would be cereal for me. I could hear my brother talking, his voice only recently deepened by puberty, and then my Dad’s loud and booming laugh in response. Despite what it may seem I never hated my family, they were simply upholding the “natural order” of things. Once in the kitchen I made my way to my highchair. It was yet another point of contention that I had argued about for years, pretty much as soon as I was able to talk, I was protesting, but my family insisted. The most annoying thing was they were probably right. I did need it just like I needed help with so many other things. There is a fundamental and profound difference between women and men. No matter how much I despise or try to fight there could be no doubt about it. As we were all taught in our rudimentary biology lessons, girls simply developed slower and later than boys. Whilst boys would be out of diapers by four or five years-old girls most often needed them into their twenties. I believe the textbook said the average age of female potty training was twenty-five which meant I could expect another seven years in padding, a thought so horrible it made me want to cry. It wasn’t just potty training that separated the sexes though. Whilst the diapers might be the most obvious difference if you were to look between a boy and a girl of a similar age it was far from the only thing. Along with the delayed potty training came a big delay in developing fine motor skills. Basically, girls needed a lot of help with a lot of things. For instance, breakfast. Whilst I could eat an apple on my own there was no way I could handle a spoon without most of my cereal ending up down the front of my dress. That was just one example of a thousand. The practical result of these genetic differences was that girls were simply treated differently. We were essentially little more than babies until well into adulthood. The diapers seemed to inspire a certain amount of protectiveness from the men who would keep us in nurseries, dress us like overgrown toddlers and generally not trust us to do anything for ourselves. They weren’t nasty, for the most part, they were just doing what they thought was best to help. The “immaturity” of women had seeped into every aspect of life. Even older women, like my mom, who had been long potty trained were still treated as little more than children a lot of the time. It may have been obvious, but I HATED it. I hated being treated like I was different or less able. I was jealous of boys, like my brother, who could just get on with their lives. I loathed the fact that unless I was extremely lucky, I was going to end up like my mother. Married off and looking after the home whilst producing babies whilst my husband earned the money. I wanted more but I almost certainly wasn’t going to get it. What was really the most frustrating aspect of it all though was that I was capable of so much more. I was smart, at least for a girl, and I took pride in that. School was almost a waste of time for me, I had to try and learn what I could in my spare time. I would ask for books for my birthdays and Christmases. Dad clearly didn’t agree and thought it would lead to me “getting ideas” which was apparently a bad thing. For once mom got her way though, mostly because she was the one to head out to the store for presents, and at least twice a year I would unwrap a new book. But none of that mattered. I could apply to be taken out of the girl’s classes and put into an accelerated program, the only way for me to go to college and have a potential career, to escape my fate as a future homemaker but I wouldn’t be accepted. Whilst I may have had the intelligence to pass the requisite tests it was irrelevant because I still had the coordination of a toddler and in the world’s eyes that was all that mattered. Even amongst girls my age, I was behind the curve. “Nice dress, sis.” Ollie said with a smirk. I scowled at him. He knew about my frustrations and, like any good brother, poured salt into the wound when he could. What I wouldn’t have given to switch places with him… “Oh, Richard, dear.” Mom said to Dad as she made the cereal, “The Wilkinsons have invited us over for a little get together.” “Sounds marvellous.” Dad replied without looking away from his newspaper. I was pretty sure Dad had spent more of his life looking at the papers than he had me. I had hopped up into the highchair, nearly falling over in the process, and when Mom returned, she locked the tray in place and put my breakfast on it. I looked at the unappetising wet cereal without enthusiasm whilst Mom brought eggs and bacon for the men. My mouth watered just looking at the cooked breakfast. A piece of cloth fluttered down over my face to rest against my chest. My bib was to protect my clothes from any food that missed my mouth, mom never liked having to change my clothes before sending me off to school. Mom then sat down with her own cereal and two spoons. “Alright, baby, open up.” Mom said sweetly. “I’m not a-…” I started complaining but Mom simply shoved the spoon into my mouth. As I ate my lacklustre breakfast in silence Ollie started telling Dad about his latest sporting achievements. As if to emphasise the differences between us Ollie was very smart and athletic, popular too. It only made me feel worse about my own situation. We had the same abilities and yet he was going to get all the opportunities whilst I was going to get nothing. I hated mealtimes just because they took so long. In between my own mouthfuls I had to wait for Mom to eat and she liked to gossip to no one in particular leaving me waiting even longer. If it were up to me, I would eat as quickly as possible so I could get away from the highchair and go back up to my room. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. For the first time that morning I saw my Dad’s face. Unlike Mom his face was sharp, and he had piercing eyes that seemed to look right through you. He stood up and put the paper down. After kissing Mom on the cheek, he rubbed Ollie’s hair and then left. I didn’t get a special goodbye but that was nothing unusual, I was Mom’s responsibility. I knew for a fact that dad would’ve preferred that I had been born a boy. I ate my breakfast in silence as I did every morning. I tried to avoid looking at Ollie whenever possible, as my brother he knew where my weak points were and how to most effectively annoy me. He knew how much I was desperate to be independent and given the same opportunities which is why he spent mealtimes trying to catch my eye and quietly make fun of me. A baby bottle was handed to me as I finished the last of my breakfast. I clutched it with both hands as I held it up to my mouth, it was the safest way for me to drink without dropping what I was holding. Once the bottle was drained and I had lowered it back to the tray I let out a loud burp. I thought I’d done a good job not making a mess but as mom wiped my face with a wet cloth and then removed by bib, I saw that plenty of food had missed my mouth. I tried not to pout. “Alright, come on, we don’t want you to be late for the bus.” Mom said as she unlocked the tray and let me slip out of my toddler chair, “Come on Emma, we don’t have all day.” I saw that Ollie was a little slower than me to get up. He didn’t get hurried up like I did though. He was sixteen years old and considered a man of the house. My mom was as wary of upsetting him as she way my father. It looked pretty pathetic to me, a mother so worried about what her teenage son thought. I understood it though, I suspect if Ollie wanted, he could bend mom over and spank her right there at the table. It was all part of “coming of age” for a young man. I knew Dad would support it if he found out. Would treat it as a moment where Ollie became a man, probably take him out for a beer or something. Mom was a whirlwind of motion as she got things ready for my brother and me. Lunches were handed out and put in bags, books were checked and double-checked, my diaper was pressed against me to make sure I didn’t need another change and then we were sent out the front door. It was always quite eerie to go from the noises and motion of the house to suddenly standing outside. Everything was calm and serene out there. The sun was shining but there was still a slight chill in the breeze that rustled the leaves on the tree in a front yard. “Come on, baby.” Ollie said to me as he led the way down the garden path. Like I said before, Ollie knew how to strike a nerve. I wouldn’t describe him as a bully or anything like that, he was just a brother who was given free rein to annoy me knowing I would get in trouble if I retaliated. We walked to the bus stop that was at the end of the street. There were a few other students already there, mostly boys. Ollie walked over to some friends, and I hung back just waiting for the bus. It felt like I had to mentally prepare for the day. I had to do this every morning. To say I didn’t enjoy school was an understatement, mostly because for me it felt pointless, there was no career waiting for me at the end of it all. When the bus pulled up to the curb, I was the last to get on. I stood next to the driver and looked down the rows of seats. The differences between the two genders here was more obvious than anywhere else. The boys were dressed in their usual polo shirts, sports jerseys and whatever else they wanted; the girls on the other hand looked, in my opinion, ridiculous. All the girls were dressed in clothes the boys left behind as toddlers. Shortalls, skirtalls, onesies, very frilly dresses, Mary Jane shoes, hair in pigtails… This was the fashion for women of all ages. I, of course, was dressed no differently but I seemed to be one of the few who hated it. I walked down the aisle between the seats. I saw some boys doing last minute homework, whether on their own or copying from a friend, I looked down at the sums one boy was doing and almost felt my head spin. Whatever he was working out was a long way from the times tables that were drilled into my head during what passed for our math classes. At the back of the bus, I saw some boys and girls making out. They had no shame that they were doing so in public, but it wasn’t an unusual sight. Many boys and girls got married right after graduating high school, I knew a few of the kissing couples were already engaged. It was considered desirable to get married as quickly as possible if you were a girl so you could start having kids and supporting your husband. As far as I could tell the only benefit to getting married would be my potential potty training, though I hated to have such a thing reliant on a man. As I dropped into an empty seat next to a girl in a class several grades below my own, I felt disgust towards my fellow girls. I looked over my shoulder again at the kissing couples and my eyes focused on two people in particular. A guy who seemed to be the same age as me was sat down with a girl I knew to be in my grade sitting on his lap facing him. Her dress had been pulled up and the boy’s hands almost looked like they created a seat as they groped her diaper. The girl didn’t seem to care though, she was giggling and constantly leaning forwards for more kisses. All my thoughts towards such a display were negative. Didn’t that girl have any self-respect? I sat in silence for the whole bus journey. Every school day started with this resentment burning at my centre. I was surrounded by boys who would have careers I wanted and girls that were seemingly happy to be second class. I felt very much on my own. I hated my diapers, I hated my place in society, but most of all I hated that I had almost no hope of escaping my station. Only a few girls ever managed to break the chains and reach an equal status to the boys. The most frustrating thing was I knew I was smart enough to do it, but there was nothing I could do about my damned coordination. How I desperately wished I had been born a guy, to have the opportunities I deserved. When the bus finally stopped outside my school, I was one of the last to get up. I watched girl’s giggling as they walked down the aisles to the doors at the front, I saw boys unashamedly reach forward and grab at their asses producing squeals and more laughter. If anyone did that to me, they’d get a slap in the face and to hell with the consequences. My school was a large building. A huge rectangular block with steps leading up to the front entrance. It was towards these doors that the masses of students were moving. The girls in their ultra-feminine clothes in bright colours and looking like overgrown babies, the boys in their regular shirts and pants. There was a lot of noise, and I looked forwards to getting into the relative sanctuary of the classroom. As I made my way up the stairs I tripped and ended up falling forwards on to my face. There were a few laughs but not as many as might be expected. I wasn’t the only girl having trouble after all. The lack of coordination made stairs a tricky challenge and as I brushed myself off and looked around, I saw several girls clinging to the rails with both hands and taking careful steps as if they were climbing a mountain. I would probably fall less often if I did the same, but I didn’t want to need a crutch to do something so simple. The inconvenient truth of the matter was that even amongst other girls my age my coordination was bad. I probably tripped and fell over my own feet at least twice a day. Things requiring precise movements of my fingers were a nightmare. I brushed the dust from my dress and carried on a little more carefully. I walked through the double doors and turned left in the corridor. Whilst the boys moved from room to room throughout the day for their different subjects me and the other girls stayed in one. “Yo, can I copy your biology homework?” “Only if I can copy your math.” “We had homework?” It was like I was being taunted. Those subjects sounded so interesting and yet I never got to experience any of them. The most I could gather was whatever I overheard in the halls or the cafeteria. Sometimes I would take Ollie’s textbooks and read a bit but if I was discovered I would be sure to get a big punishment. My parents, particularly my father, weren’t big on me “getting ideas above my station.” They said no man would want a girl who thought she was smarter than them. It only increased my desire to read more. The bell rang when I was halfway to my classroom. It made me jump and as I did so I felt my bladder leak a little urine into my, until that point, dry diaper. It wasn’t a surprise, but it was annoying. The students crowding the halls started making their way towards their various classrooms. My room was the last door on the left of the hallway. “Come on, Miss. Crouch, you don’t want to be late.” Mr. Smith called as he saw me waddling towards the room. I hated Mr. Smith. My teacher for the last couple of years, he was a symbol to me of all the worst parts of men. He seemed nice enough personally, but he was stull my oppressor. More than anyone, perhaps even more than my parents, Mr. Smith made sure I stayed in my lane. He knew of my want to be more than just another girl and he seemed determined to stamp it out of me, probably saw it as his duty. I went to walk quickly past the teacher, but he put his arm out and blocked the doorway. I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh. I knew what was coming. The “random” diaper checks that I just so happened to be a regular victim of. Mr. Smith’s large hand pressed against my padding as I separated my legs making it easier for him. “A little damp but no need for a change yet.” Mr. Smith announced. “Yeah, well…” I started as I couldn’t hold back my tongue. My arguments were quickly cut off when Mr. Smith reached down to my pacifier hanging from the front of my dress and popped it between my lips. I glared at him but didn’t dare take the unwanted fashion accessory out. Like most men in the world Mr. Smith believed that “good girls should be seen and not heard” and that meant in his classroom we were frequently given our soothers to keep us quiet. As soon as the teacher’s hand left my diaper I continued walking inside. The classroom was the same as it ever was, and I meant that literally. From my first day at school until then I had been in the same classroom, and it hadn’t changed a bit in that whole time. Instead of individual desks like the boys had we had square tables where four of us would sit together. Different corners of the large room had different uses. There were a lot of toys, a quiet area lined with books that were far too simple for me and another area full of different things needed for our lessons. Instead of science we were taught to cook, instead of history we were taught to sew. The very basics of academia were all that we needed according to men. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. All support is very gratefully accepted ❤️ https://reamstories.com/elfy https://subscribestar.adult/elfy --- I walked over to my usual table and sat down. Straight away I folded my arms across my chest to let everyone know I was in a bad mood. My friends sitting at the table, Zoe and Nicole, knew me well enough to not try to say anything to me as I waited for the teacher to start. I felt the recently wet diaper press against me and felt my mood turn even sourer. I had begged and begged my parents to allow me to at least try to potty train, but they had outright refused. Nothing would show the school authorities that I could be moved into classes with the boys like learning to use the toilet, my parents knew that, and I assumed that was one of the reasons they were so against it. Whenever I tried to train myself, my parents would give me “medicine” to make sure I failed. I soon learned not to try unless I wanted to be humiliated or left in diapers long past the point that they needed changing. “Good morning, girls.” Mr. Smith walked in. Despite his greeting he was looking kind of dour which wasn’t unusual for him, “Before we begin is there anyone who needs to visit the nurse?” A couple of hands went up and those girls were dismissed. What the teacher was really asking us was whether any of us needed our diaper changed. Usually, we were checked rather than asked but clearly Mr. Smith was letting laziness win out. The lessons never stopped when girls were absent with the nurse. If the lessons were paused every time it happened, we’d never get anything done. Not that anything we were taught in that classroom was anything I actually wanted to learn. “Right, well, this morning we will be picking up where we left off last week.” Mr. Smith said as he unlocked a cupboard and started picking up some small boxes. I groaned. There were few things I actually enjoyed doing in school, but what was coming was the worst. A box was placed in front of me, and I opened it up to reveal a needle, some thread and various pieces of cloth. Sewing was one of those vital skills all girls had to learn. The sciences were ignored, our maths was extremely basic, but sewing was very important. I didn’t even try to hide my disgust as everyone started opening the boxes the teacher handed out. Mr. Smith stopped when he saw the sour look on my face. “Come on, Emma, a pretty girl like you should be smiling.” Mr. Smith said, “This will really help when you have children.” I glared at Mr. Smith. I wasn’t too quiet about how much I hated my position, so it was hard to tell if the teacher was intentionally trying to wind me up. I knew if I spoke up it would mean punishment but holding my tongue wasn’t easy. I knew for a fact Mr. Smith didn’t like teaching us. No one wanted to be teacher that was “relegated” to teaching the girls. No one wanted to use all their educational qualifications to just teach the basics to a bunch of people they regarded as not needing to know more. The resentment caused Mr. Smith to see us as a burden rather than an opportunity to teach, he saw himself as a babysitter more than a teacher. I knew all this because he wasn’t at all shy about telling us. Teaching girls was basically a dead-end career-wise. I looked down at my little collection of sewing equipment. Other girls were already getting started. Zoe, sitting next to me, had her tongue between her teeth as she tried to thread the needle. I noticed that on my other side Nicole was already sewing surprisingly well. “I hate doing this…” I grumbled. “We know.” Zoe said through her gritted teeth as she managed to get the thread through the small hole at last. “Pacifiers in, girls.” Mr. Smith called over. I sighed but picked up my pacifier and pushed it between my lips anyway. I hated doing as I was told but it was another unfair school rule that would get me in trouble if I didn’t follow it. I bit down on the bulb as I tried to join in the other girls and start sewing the cloth together. There was another reason I hated sewing and pretty much everything else I was forced to do. Loathe as I was to admit it, my coordination wasn’t just bad in general, it was pretty bad even for a girl. Whilst everyone in the class managed to thread their needles after a few minutes I continued to struggle. It was the simplest part of the whole process and as everyone moved on to the next stage I was still sitting there failing to get my fingers to cooperate. “Do you want me to help?” Nicole asked around the latex nipple filling her mouth. “No.” I muttered darkly. I glanced sideways to see that not only had she managed to get the thread through the small hole, but she’d already made half a dozen stitches. It was incredibly frustrating to be so sure I could get on in the boys’ classes whilst being held back by my body. After a couple more failed attempts to get the thread through the hole I threw it all down on the table in anger. “Is there a problem, Emma?” Mr. Smith’s voice came from directly behind me. I jumped and felt a squirt of urine shoot into my padding. “No…” I replied slowly. “Then keep trying.” Mr. Smith said, “You’ll never get to college if you give up like that.” Mr. Smith chuckled and rubbed the top of my head before walking off to another table. I hadn’t thought I could be any angrier but somehow the teacher had managed to spike my temper. He knew of my dreams and saw my failings. To treat it all like some sort of joke was galling. It made me want to get up and… “Calm down.” Zoe said to me without looking up from her own sewing. She’d managed to complete one haphazard looking stitch. I simmered in my seat as I took a few deep breaths. Zoe and Nicole knew me well enough to know that it didn’t take a lot to get my temper to spill over. I tried to concentrate on the sewing again. As much as I hated it there was no other way out. I needed to prove I had the coordination needed to be allowed into the classes with the boys. At eighteen-years-old I was fast running out of time and if I failed my life would be just like my mothers. I couldn’t think of a worse fate. I sucked on my pacifier as I tried to thread the needle again. My hands shook more and more the closer I got. It felt like I was going cross-eyed. I tried to push it through and missed by half an inch. I tried again and was closer. On the third try it finally went through. I broke into a big smile mostly hidden by the soother’s mouth guard. I belatedly realised that with all my concentration I had started sweating. It was a victory! “Finished.” Nicole said loudly as she raised her hand. I looked up and saw that she had very neatly sewed the two pieces of cloth together. I had to admit it looked very good, almost to the same level mom had when she sewed stuff at home. Suddenly me managing to complete step one of the process felt like nothing at all. I sighed as I picked up the cloth and started preparing the next step. “Teacher’s pet.” Zoe said with a playful grin at Nicole. I didn’t know how Zoe could be so calm about everything. Did she not realise what would happen if we remained in the stupid class until graduation? Did she care? It was true that I was a bit of an outlier, one of the few people not inherently alright with the status quo. Most of the girls were perfectly content to grow at their own pace and live a life home making. Nicole’s only response to Zoe was to stick her tongue at her. The two girls shared a laugh as Mr. Smith came over to inspect the work. He held up Nicole’s accomplishment and I watched enviously. “Wow, you really did a great job!” Mr. Smith said. He patted Nicole on the head, “You lined it up nicely and everything. As a special treat why don’t you go over to the corner and start play time early?” Nicole looked very pleased with herself as she stood up. She took a couple of steps towards the corner and then stopped. Her dress was extremely short so when the rear of her diaper started to bulge out a couple of seconds later, I knew exactly what was happening. As much as I felt bad for my friend, I couldn’t completely hide a small smirk as I thought “not so grown up after all…” “Erm, Sir, may I visit the nurse first?” Nicole asked a few seconds later. “Of course. I’ll write you a pass.” Mr. Smith replied as the pair headed over to the desk. I looked down at my sewing work once again but before I had a chance to place another sloppy stitch, I heard the door to the classroom open. I looked up and turned to the door and was shocked. It was a guy. It was a man I had never seen before. He was tall and had tanned skin, with brown hair that almost reached his shoulders. He had a backpack slung over his shoulder and was holding it with one hand whilst in the other he was scanning a piece of paper. He seemed confused. “Can I help you?” Mr. Smith asked as he looked up from the desk, he was writing the permission slip at. “I think I’m lost.” The new guy said. “Well, come in.” Mr. Smith said, “I’ll help you in a second. I doubt this is your classroom!” Mr. Smith chuckled as he signed the note and handed it to Nicole. She was blushing even harder as she hurried out of the room past this new boy. The guy walked inside and looked around; he was smiling but it didn’t seem like he was making fun of us. When I looked around, I saw that I was far from the only girl distracted by the new entrant into the room. I rolled my eyes and returned to my work. I felt weirdly protective of my classroom. I hated being there, but I found myself resenting a man coming in as well. Girls weren’t given much, but this was ours, I didn’t appreciate my territory being invaded by someone I saw as the enemy. As I tried to feed the needle through the cloth in my hands, I hoped he would find what he needed and leave as soon as possible. “He’s so hot!” Zoe whispered to me as she wantonly stared at the entrant. “Keep your panties on.” I replied dismissively, “Besides, I thought you wanted Liam to notice you.” Zoe gave me a sharp look before returning to ogle the stranger. I shook my head at her behaviour. I hated my situation, and nothing ground my gears like watching other girls playing their role to perfection. I was determined not to be just another pretty face for a guy to pick out as his trophy wife and domestic servant. Unfortunately, to escape that fate I really needed to get my coordination together and that wasn’t happening. “Ah, Jacob, yes?” Mr. Smith said as he checked the paper the new guy was carrying. I looked up again. If I resented this man, this “Jacob”, for coming into my domain then why did I keep looking up at him just like all the other girls here? I shook my head and tried to focus. The only way I was going to improve my station was if I could prove my coordination was acceptable. I had to concentrate. “Ah, yes, obviously this isn’t your room.” Mr. Smith said as he checked the schedule, “You’ve got the right room number but the wrong floor. You need to go up a level.” I heard Jacob laugh and like a magnet I was drawn to looking up at him again. I may have been determined not to be just another girl destined to pop out babies and look after a man, but I was still heterosexual, I could still appreciate a good-looking guy. Objectively speaking Jacob was a handsome looking person. There was nothing wrong with me noticing that even if I hated how he kept stealing my attention. My hands were still moving despite me not looking what I was doing. I had been annoyed at myself for being so easily distracted and now I was about to get my comeuppance. I could hardly sew properly when I was looking at the work, when I was looking elsewhere, I had no chance. The needle came up through the cloth in my hands and straight into my thumb. “Ah!” I immediately screamed like a little girl and dropped the cloth on to the table. Everyone turned my way as my bottom lip trembled. Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry! I begged myself. I looked down at my thumb and saw a small drop of blood forming where I had inadvertently punctured myself. I was trying to keep a lid on my emotions, but it was as impossible for me to do as the sewing itself was. My eyes watered and when I tried to blink the tears away, they simply rolled down my face. My composure broke entirely, and I burst into tears. Loud humiliating crying punctured the air made worse by how I knew I was humiliating myself. I didn’t look up from my table, but I was sure Jacob must’ve thought I was just a stupid little girl like the rest of my classmates. Just like coordination, emotional control developed late for most girls, and it seemed I was behind the curve in that respect as well. “Alright, Jacob, if you can’t find your room feel free to come back for more help.” Mr. Smith said. Speaking louder to be heard over my wailing, “I have to deal with this.” I dared to glance up and saw that Jacob was indeed looking straight at me as he was handed back his schedule. I didn’t hear what he said to our teacher as he hurried out of the room. Mr. Smith came over to me, he seemed annoyed about the commotion I was making. I didn’t blame him. I was annoyed by it too. “It’s OK, Emma, it’s just a little pinprick.” Mr. Smith said condescendingly, “Come to my desk. I’ve got some band-aids.” I rose from my chair and followed the teacher. I looked over to the door which was closing. Was it the tears distorting my vision, or did I see Jacob peeking through the gap until the last possible moment? It must’ve been my eyes playing tricks on me, I couldn’t think of a reason anyone would want to be near me making all this noise. I knew that when any of the other girls cried like this it was all I could do to not run out of the room with my ears covered. A small pink band-aid was wrapped around my finger. It almost immediately started to calm my tears somewhat as I returned to my desk. I was red in the face, not just from the crying, but because of how I had lost control like I did. I wanted to prove I could be mature and should be given a chance in the proper classes before school ended but instead, I was managing to do the complete opposite. When I sat back down, I shuddered. My diaper had swollen up and the bottom felt very warm. At some point during my meltdown, I had apparently wet myself and not even noticed. I sighed and hung my head. This was turning into a hell of a day. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. In a day filled with things I hated to do this was pretty high up the list. The nurse’s office was its own little building outside the rear of the main school near the reception. I went through the door just before the reception desk and immediately cursed under my breath. The queue to see the nurse was already very long, it looked like I’d have to spend half my lunch in line behind all the other girls who had beat me there. It was usually better to try and get to the nurse outside of breaks between classes for that exact react. It wasn’t like I had a choice in the matter though. I needed a change, and this was the only place to get one. As I joined the end of the line I stumbled and almost ended up falling into the girl in front of me. I could’ve blamed the swollen mass of padding between my legs but, in truth, I think it was my lack of coordination making itself known. I’d had more than a few people suggest I should be crawling around for my own safety, most of them weren’t joking. My diaper was soaked but some of the girls were in a worse situation than that. The smell outside the nurse’s room was always miserable. We were outside but the fresh air was no match for a dozen messy young women. I waited impatiently until it was finally my time to go inside. The four nurses looked rushed off their feet. Each was in front of a changing table, three of them were currently occupied but the fourth was waving me over. I didn’t really have a favourite nurse, but Nurse Loondis was the one I was most familiar with. He was male, of course, there were very few women working in the medical field. “Hello, Emma. One or two?” The nurse said as I waddled over. “Just one.” I mumbled. I didn’t really appreciate my diaper’s condition being broadcasted to everyone else in the room. “Hop on up.” Nurse Loondis said. The only thing separating me from the other girls being changed was a thin sheet acting as a wall. People tended not to think too much about the modesty of girls since we are changed by so many people. It’s sometimes assumed we didn’t have modesty at all but, for me at least, I would’ve loved not to flash myself to anyone who happened to look in my direction. My diaper was soon exposed but before Nurse Loondis started changing me, I threw my hands down to cover the front of the padding. He sighed and looked at me doubtfully. “We’re very busy.” Nurse Loondis said, “We don’t really have time to do this.” “Please.” I said. I gave the nurse my best puppy dog eyes. Being seen as a pathetic girl could have its benefits sometimes. “Fine.” Nurse Loondis said, “But you’ll have to be quick.” That was as good as I was going to get. With the nurse supervising me I started pulling at the tapes on the diaper. My pacifier fell out of my mouth as I concentrated but even then my fingers had trouble pinching the tabs. After several attempts I managed to get it right and the wet diaper flopped down between my legs. “Are you sure you can do this?” Nurse Loondis asked. “Yes!” I replied impatiently. The nurse remained doubtful as he handed me some baby wipes. I ended up accidentally dropping them into the wet diaper before using them. He tried to hand me some more of the wipes, but I didn’t close my hand in time, and they fell to the floor. “Alright, we don’t have time for this.” Nurse Loondis said with a sigh. “I can do it!” I complained loudly. “You can try again another day, OK?” Nurse Loondis gave me a patronising smile. I laid flat against the table and pouted. I was endlessly frustrated at myself. It didn’t seem to matter how much I wanted to grow up my body just wouldn’t let me. It was like I was trapped in the body of a baby still. I had so little time left to show that I was mature and able to look after myself before it would be too late. With Nurse Loondis back in control the diaper change was relatively swift. He must’ve done thousands of them on girls like me over the years. He wiped me clean and slipped a fresh diaper underneath me. “So, any plans for the Prom?” Nurse Loondis asked casually as he rearranged the diaper underneath me. “I’m not going.” I replied simply. “Really?” Nurse Loondis pulled the front of the diaper up over my private parts, “A pretty girl like you must get the attention of all the boys.” I stared daggers at the nurse. The truth was I had been asked to the Prom, by seemingly half the boys in the graduating year, and a few in the lower ones too. I had turned them all down. All around me girls were falling over themselves trying to get a good man to take them to the dance, to make them a married woman. I couldn’t be less interested in that. I wasn’t looking to find some guy to look after me, I wanted to look after myself! I remained silent for the rest of the change and was glad to pick up my bag and leave when it was done. As I left the row of offices, I heard the nurse calling in the next girl who hurried in as if she was worried she might leak. I stepped through the door and immediately tripped over my own feet. I tumbled down the three steps leading to the ground and landed face down and spread-eagled. “God damn it.” I muttered to myself as tears filled my eyes. The problem I had was that my coordination seemed to be even worse than most girls my age. It seemed a cruel irony that I was so desperate to grow up and yet was the least developed in the one metric that mattered. I got back to my feet and dusted myself down. I hurried away from the scene of my accident as if gaining separation from it could make it as if it never happened. I wiped my eyes from the tears that kept traitorously trying to fall. “Emma, right?” A boy I only vaguely recognised stopped me as I was rushing past. “What?” I replied. I tried to sound as belligerent and unappealing as possible. I had a feeling I knew what was coming. “You look very pretty.” The boy continued, “Do you want to go to the Prom with me?” I felt disgust. Not because the young man in front of me was unattractive, though he definitely was, but because as he said those words I saw a vision of my future that made me shudder. Going to the Prom with this guy I’d never spoken to before, going to the hotel room afterwards, before long I’d be wed and at home popping out babies for him. It was my idea of hell. “No thanks.” I said simply as I turned away and continued on my journey. The guy, whose name I still didn’t know despite his proposal, showed me how special I was by asking the same question to the next girl behind me. I looked over my shoulder to see this other girl smiling and almost acting too keen. It was difficult to tell if her enthusiasm was genuine or simply feigned to supplicate the man in front of her, something her whole life had trained her to do. I carried on to the cafeteria and quickly saw my friends at our usual table. My circle of friends was very small, pretty much just the girls I was sitting with in class. I struggled to get on with my peers as I felt like I had nothing in common with them. Whilst I struggled to develop and learn, they seemed content with the lives planned out for them from birth. It was fine, if that’s what they really wanted, but I couldn’t help but look down my nose at them. The two friends I had were people I had known for almost as long as I could remember. Zoe, Nicole, and I had met when we had just started school and we’d stuck together ever since. I liked them, but even with my two best friends I felt… different. “So, Liam, tell me about that… thing.” Zoe said with a big toothy smile as she leaned forwards, elbows on the table and hands cupping her chin. “Huh?” Liam grunted. “The thing? The one you were talking about?” Zoe prompted, “The sport thing?” “Oh, baseball?” Liam replied, “Yeah, I’m on the team.” “Wow, how interesting.” Zoe replied. I rolled my eyes as I walked around the end of the table and sat down next to Zoe. As I got my lunch out of my bag, I saw Liam adjusting in his seat across the table to look more towards me. Whilst he had been mostly checked out before his increased interest towards me was obvious to all. Except maybe Zoe. “Hello, Emma.” Liam said brightly, “How are you?” “Same as always.” I replied with disinterest. It was my hope that showing that I clearly wasn’t interested in him would stop Liam from continuing. There wasn’t much chance of that though, guys weren’t used to girls thinking for themselves after all. Anything other than subservient interest and obedience was pretty alien to them. “That’s good. I’m pretty good too.” Liam fumbled in his bag and lifted up a small trophy, “I was just telling, erm…” “Zoe.” Zoe reminded him after a few seconds. “Right, I was just telling Zoe I just won the “Most Improved” award on the baseball team.” Liam placed the trophy on the table and smirked confidently. I think he was expecting me to fawn over it as if he’d just placed a large diamond in front of me. “So, you were crap, and now you’re a little less crap?” I asked. I smiled blithely as if I wasn’t aware of my insult. Next to me, on the other side to Zoe, Nicole snorted with laughter. She clearly understood what I was going for. I almost felt bad for Liam who let a short laugh of fake good humour as he sheepishly put his award away. The problem was, of all the men at school, he had asked me out the most. He clearly had a crush on me, but the feeling wasn’t mutual. He was good looking for sure, he was very sporty which gave him a great physique, but I wasn’t interested. Zoe was though, no matter how little attention he gave her. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. I looked down at the paper and suddenly my sandwich felt a little harder to swallow. Nicole’s penmanship looked very competent. I marvelled at how her fingers and hand made small movements as she scrawled the words on the page. The letters were a little irregular and shaky, but she was doing it. All the girls my age could read, we were taught that just a little later than the boys, but writing was a different matter since that required coordination we just didn’t have. I had spent a lot of time trying but I could never make my scribblings intelligible. “It looks great…” I said unenthusiastically. My jealousy was impossible to hide. It seemed so unfair that Nicole was seemingly effortlessly able to do all the things I wished I could. As I got my lunch out of my bag I tried to ignore the fact that Liam was staring at me. He was none too subtle about his attraction to me which was annoying because I was doing my best to show that it wasn’t something I reciprocated. He didn’t seem to get the message. “Hi Emma.” Liam said with much more enthusiasm than he had shown talking to Zoe. It was like he’d hit “restart at last checkpoint” in a video game and decided to try having a conversation with me again, “You look great today!” “Thanks…” I replied without looking up from my sandwich. “That dress really suits you.” Liam continued, “It really complements your eyes.” I snorted. My dress was ridiculously infantile. I didn’t bother responding to Liam’s clumsy compliments. I didn’t want to encourage him or make him think that he was getting anywhere with me. Whereas most random guys heard a “no” and moved on to the next girl they saw, Liam seemed besotted with me. It was very annoying. “Does this “B” look good to you?” Nicole asked as she pointed at one of the letters on the paper, “I think the top part is too small.” “It’s perfect.” I had to admit with barely contained jealousy. “What about my dress?” Zoe asked Liam with a wide smile, “Does it compliment me as well?” “Yeah, I guess…” Liam shrugged. He had barely even glanced at her, but Zoe still giggled as if the compliment had been sincere. I was just thinking of getting up and leaving the cafeteria, since everyone was annoying me, when I looked up and saw the new guy, Jacob, coming in. Suddenly I didn’t feel so keen on leaving. I was going red in the face, and I hated that my body and mind were betraying me like this. I couldn’t have a crush; it went completely against my plans to grow up as soon as possible. As I ate another bite of my sandwich, I glanced up from the corner of my eyes to see Jacob was walking over. “Crap…” I muttered. “Jacob, how are you doing?” Liam said as Jacob reached the table, “You find all your classes OK?” “Just about.” Jacob replied with a laugh, “Though I think I nearly enrolled with the girls at one point.” I heard Zoe and Nicole either side of me laugh. I felt a strange flare up of emotion, as if I wanted to tell my friends to back off. But that wouldn’t be right. It wasn’t like I wanted Jacob at all. No, I needed to focus on improving my coordination so I could get out of these stupid girl’s classes, get out of diapers, and have a career. It didn’t matter that I was seemingly behind other girls in the class who weren’t even trying, I was due a spurt of development... Any time now. That’s what I told myself at least. I tried to act casually as Jacob talked to Liam but was finding it difficult. I was hyper-aware of every little movement I made, and suddenly nothing seemed natural, I felt like people were staring at me. I didn’t know what was wrong with me. “Hello.” Zoe said to Jacob. It felt like she was betraying me, “I’m Zoe, this is Emma and that is Nicole. It’s nice to meet you.” I briefly glanced up when Zoe said my name. I noticed that even as Zoe introduced herself and Nicole, Liam’s attention remained on me. I quickly looked away. “So, I heard about a dance coming up?” Jacob said. “Oh, yes, the Prom!” Zoe nodded her head. She looked pointedly at Liam, “It’s very important.” “It is?” Jacob replied. Why was it that every word he said seemed to penetrate the walls I otherwise surrounded myself with? “Of course!” Zoe said, “It’s the last chance for us girls to find a man before school ends. It’s one of the best days of a girl’s life!” I rolled my eyes. If a stupid high school dance was one of the best days of a girl’s life, then I simply didn’t want to be a girl. To be fair to my friend, I would agree it was an important day, but I would do so from a very different perspective. Rather than seeing it as a chance to find a man I saw it as a door slamming closed. It was a deadline. I had to be out of the girl’s classes by Prom, which happened at the end of the school year, or I had failed. I felt a lurch in my stomach as I imagined such a future. “I see.” Jacob said. He nodded his head sagely. I was sure he was already perfectly aware of all this, “And all you girls have dates?” We shook our heads. I immediately regretted it. Why was I joining in with this farce? Why was I listening to all this nonsense? I had an urge to get up and run away. I could see that both Liam and Jacob were looking at me in particular. I was starting to feel like the last piece of meat at the barbeque being eyed up by two hungry dogs. “Well, that won’t do.” Liam said with a big smile, “Maybe we can help these lovely ladies out. What do you think?” I could see that Liam was looking at Jacob with a big smile. I wanted to slap it right off his face. Jacob, for his part, seemed to be resisting the urge I was sure all men had to treat us girls as pathetic dependents. He wouldn’t fool me though; I’d seen more than enough other guys trying to pull the same trick in the name of getting a date. “How about it, Emma?” Jacob said, “Do you want to go to the Prom with me? It doesn’t have to be anything serious. Just a bit of fun.” I looked up at Jacob’s perfect face and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I saw his perfectly even smile full of gleaming white teeth, the slight stubble on the lower half of his face which seemed to emphasise his masculine features and the way he stood with confidence. A confidence that had allowed him to ask someone he’d never even met to go to the most important dance of the year. I cursed myself for even showing the slightest bit of interest. He was just like all the others. “No.” I replied. I didn’t even give him the courtesy of a polite “thank you”. Hopefully it would be enough to get him to go away so he would stop distracting me from what I really needed to do. “I’m free.” Zoe quickly said as she looked at the two boys. I didn’t think her desperation was very becoming. I turned to look at Nicole’s writing again. She seemed to be so hyper-fixated on getting her letters right that she had missed the whole discussion taking place right next to her. I envied both her coordination and focus. I was just waiting on Jacob to pounce on Emma next. I’d rejected him and that meant his interest in me was over. I knew from prior experience that, once rejected, a guy would go on to the next girl until he caught one in his net. With Zoe declaring her interest I almost felt like Liam and Jacob would start bidding on her as if she were a precious item up for auction. “I’ll see you all later.” Jacob said, “It was nice meeting you.” “Wait up.” Liam called out, “I need to talk to you about that homework we got earlier.” I was surprised. Jacob hadn’t taken Zoe’s bait, she had practically been undressing him in front of him, but he simply walked away. He had asked me, and only me, for a date. He couldn’t have been genuinely interested in me. That was a preposterous thought. I deliberately made myself as stand-offish as possible to avoid men’s attention, not that it worked judging by the number of guys that had asked me out. “Are you crazy?” Zoe asked me as soon as the men had departed, “Why’d you turn him down!?” “You know I’m not interested in any of that.” I replied, “Besides, I don’t even know him.” “Know him? You saw how hot he is, right?” Zoe shook her head in disbelief, “What else do you need to know?” Zoe sighed next to me. Despite how I thought she should aim to do better than just being a wife I had to feel bad for her. She was my friend, and I knew that finding a man meant a lot to her. Her interest in Liam couldn’t be clearer if she jumped into his lap and yet I think we all noticed how Liam’s eyes usually fell on me. It was another reason I envied Nicole; she somehow seemed to avoid a lot of the unwanted attention that I got, it was like a magic power, she could just blend into the background. As I watched Jacob and Liam leaving the cafeteria I felt a flood of warmth in my diaper. I sighed; I never got to enjoy a fully dry disposable for long. The most worrying part for me was how it had come out of nowhere. I had read books on potty training, and I had tried all the techniques I could find but nothing seemed to help. The only result of my efforts was a spanking from Dad a year ago when he found out what I was doing. “Your potty training is your future husband’s business!” Dad had said sternly, “Not yours!” It was ridiculous. I carried on trying different things afterwards but with the best will in the world I couldn’t seem to delay soaking my diaper for even a few seconds. I was as un-potty trained as the day I was born. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. My envy of Nicole’s writing wasn’t helped by Zoe constantly making a big deal out of how good it was on the way back to the room. I slouched alongside them trying to feel happy for my friend but secretly asking myself why I was incapable of doing the same thing. “Have you seen this?” Zoe said as she held the paper out towards me. “Yes.” I replied unenthusiastically. “It’s not THAT good.” Nicole replied. I wondered if she knew that her self-effacing words only made me more annoyed. “It really is!” Zoe said, “You can make out all the letters and everything!” I was grateful when we reached our classroom. We were supposed to have our pacifiers in our mouths when we walked in which meant Zoe wouldn’t be able to continue gushing about Nicole’s achievements. The familiar latex taste invaded my tongue as I walked through the door into the room. “Come on, girls.” Mr. Smith said as he held the door open, “We have a busy afternoon ahead of us.” I thought about sarcastically asking if we were going to be studying history or doing some complex math, but I decided I didn’t need to start the afternoon with a spanking. I wasn’t kept in suspense for long anyway. The kitchen area had ingredients set up and small portable ovens with cooking hobs were set up around the room. “This afternoon you’ll be learning something very important for all of you to know.” Mr. Smith said solemnly, “How to bake your man a delicious cake.” I rolled my eyes. But didn’t say anything. One benefit of the pacifiers intended to keep us all quiet was that I could let my frustrations out by angrily chewing on the mouth-filling bulb. We were all gathered around the teacher’s table. Mr. Smith wasn’t exactly certain of what he was doing, he was a man after all, it wasn’t like he had a lot of experience cooking. He followed the instructions of a book as he showed up what to do. I felt quite sure that most of the girls around me would be able to bake a better cake already, most were taught this stuff at home. “Off you go.” Mr. Smith said as he placed his rather untidy looking effort into the oven, “Work in pairs.” It was always awkward having a group of three friends and having to work in pairs. One of would have to be left out. Fortunately, Nicole suggested we work together which meant it was Zoe who had to find a partner. Since she was the most outgoing of us it made sense. For the next few minutes, we started the first steps of baking a cake. Nicole looked rather uncomfortable. After I had tried to crack an egg three times and had only ended up making a mess of the table, she reached over and did it for me. “I’m sorry.” Nicole said quietly. “What for?” I replied. “The writing and stuff.” Nicole said, “I know you want to-…” “Don’t worry about it.” I quickly said. “But-…” Nicole looked genuinely apologetic. “Dwelling on it isn’t going to make the situation better.” I shrugged. “I’m sure you’ll get it.” Nicole said with a smile. I tried to return the friendly expression, but I wasn’t sure I managed it. To be frank, I didn’t know if I would get any better, certainly not any time soon. I couldn’t even do a lot of the cooking as my hands were just so sluggish and didn’t want to do what my brain told them to do. It wasn’t long into the lesson, perhaps only ten or fifteen minutes, when I felt a sinking feeling in my lower tummy. I closed my eyes and knew what was coming. It seemed a cruel joke that it didn’t happen just a few minutes earlier when I could’ve gone to the nurse without causing a scene. As I watched Nicole stirring the bowl of ingredients in front of us, I bent my knees. A second later my diaper was heavier, sagging with the contents of what had formerly been in my bowels. I closed my eyes and felt disgust roil up inside me. I hated this feeling more than any other. Nothing was more uncomfortable, not to mention how it reminded me of my place as a glorified baby. Nicole was speaking but I didn’t hear what she said. My eyes were watering, and I felt my face turning red. “Emma?” Nicole said. I looked up. She had a friendly smile on her face, a sympathetic one, “I think you should see Mr. Smith.” I just nodded as a tear leaked down my cheeks. I was trying to maintain my dignity by not bursting into tears, but it was difficult, it felt like there was a stone in my throat. I put down the instructions that I’d been holding, about the only thing I could do to help was read them, and waddled towards Mr. Smith who was sitting at his desk looking bored. “I… I…” I was finding it hard to get the words. After a couple of false starts they rushed out just as quick as my accident had done, “I need to see the nurse.” I could see Mr. Smith’s face twist in disgust as I drew near. He was taking a permission slip from the pile and filling it out before I’d even opened my mouth. It was handed to me in silence, and I went back to grab my backpack. Whilst the school did provide diapers they weren’t as good as the ones my parents bought so they often packed some for me. Usually I didn’t bother using them, a diaper is a diaper to me, none are better than any other and they all represented failure and weakness, however going home in a school diaper risked a spanking for “wasting school resources.” “See you in a bit.” Nicole said. I didn’t respond. I waddled awkwardly to the door trying to keep my skin from touching the mess in my diaper. I kept my head bowed. I felt like everyone in the room was judging me even though they all did the same thing every day. I was supposed to better than them, more grown up. Once out in the quiet hallway I felt a little relief at being away from prying eyes. I let the pacifier that had been in my mouth the whole lesson drop and dangle from the front of my childish outfit. Starting down the corridor I heard snippets of lessons happening in other rooms. A few were kindergarten classes for other grades of girls but the others, they were altogether more interesting. I couldn’t linger right at the door because of the windows but I stopped just to the side of one door and listened intently. Inside, it seemed to be a biology lesson, discussing cells. I felt jealous, how I wished I could be in there learning how the world worked. I moved down the corridor to the next door and stopped. It was a history lesson, and I could hear them discussing a civil war. I never lingered outside a classroom for long, as soon I was in one place for enough time that the air around me became contaminated I moved on. I was just about to walk away from a class that was teaching English when I heard a voice shouting. “Hey!” I froze in place and turned to see a young man, probably several grades below me, hurrying over. The sash going diagonally across his chest marked him out as a hall monitor, “What are you doing out of class?” “I need to see the nurse.” I replied quietly. He didn’t need me to speak. When he drew close, I saw his face twist with disgust at the smell. Every single movement was spreading the mess in my diaper, and I was desperate to get changed. “Do you have a pass?” He asked. His mouth twisting into a sneer, a mixture of enjoying his power over me and disgust. I quickly held out the slip of paper I had been given. The jobsworth hall monitor took it from me and examined every detail, clearly he was just looking for a way to punish me. After being left disappointed he handed the slip back to me. “Get a move on.” The boy said, “No hanging around.” I turned away but before I had a chance to take a step I felt his hand slap into the back of my diaper. Inside I could feel the mess I had been desperately trying to keep away from my skin spread all over me. I froze in place and cringed as he chuckled to himself and sauntered away. I wanted to go after him. I wanted to grab him and demand an apology. Better yet, I wanted to grab him and shove him against the lockers. I felt so angry and seethed with a need for revenge. I closed my eyes and let out a deep breath that shook with the sobs that were fighting to get out. There was nothing I could do. If I so much as looked at the boy, the wrong way it would be me getting in trouble. It was almost worth it though. With fresh tears springing to my eyes, I waddled at almost running speed down the hallway away from the asshole with the sash. I turned a corner as I looked back to make sure the monitor was gone and immediately ran into something hard that knocked me backwards. I stumbled as I struggled to stay upright, and my bag fell from my shoulders as I went down. I knew what was coming but was powerless to stop it. I landed on the hand floor in a sitting position making the mess in my diaper a hundred times worse. It was so gross. Tears threatened to stream down my face as I fought to hold back my emotions. More than embarrassment or sadness, I was angry. Furious that my poopy diaper, something I loathed to begin with, had become so much more horrid. Regardless of the chance for punishment I had to vent my spleen. “Why don’t you watch where you’re go-…” The words died in my throat as I opened my eyes. Standing over me, looking slightly surprised but otherwise untouched by our collision, was Jacob. Of all the people in the school to run into I couldn’t believe it was him. I found that I no longer could finish my sentence. “I’m so sorry, let me help you up.” Jacob said as he reached down. Still angry I batted his hands away and rolled over. As I pushed myself up, I realised that I was sticking my heavily soiled rear in the air showing off a diaper that was both sticking uncomfortably to my skin and clearly full. I winced and didn’t dare turn around. I felt so ashamed of letting Jacob see me in this state, I wanted to tell him I was better than this, that I could “grow up” and be independent despite it all. But why did I want to say that? Jacob was just some dumb guy. Sure, he was attractive, but he was still a man. He was still someone with power over me simply because of the body he was born with. Why should I explain myself or care what he thought of me? It was probably better if he thought I was disgusting, maybe then he’d leave me alone. “Emma, wasn’t it?” Jacob said, making no comment of my obviously stinky underwear. The smell was impossible not to notice, I was surprised he hadn’t left me in the hall. “Yes.” I replied shortly. I didn’t turn around. I didn’t want him to see my blushing face. “Sorry, I must not have seen you.” Jacob said, “Here, let me help you with your bag.” I looked down to the side where my backpack had fallen open, some items had slipped out of it and I closed my eyes again, cursing my never-ending bad luck. The top of the diaper I was to be changed into was visible, though that shouldn’t have surprised him, along with some pens, pencils, and a book. “To Kill a Mockingbird?” Jacob said with surprise as he handed me my bag and looked at the book. “And?” I asked with hostility borne at least partly for my feelings for all men. “I’m just surprised.” Jacob smiled. I saw those rows of perfect teeth. They were just making me angrier. “Believe it or not, I can read.” I snatched the book and put it back in my bag. “I have no doubt of that.” Jacob said, “You seem like a smart woman.” Now THAT made me pause. I could probably count the number of times I’d been called a woman rather than a girl on one hand. I could feel myself flushing again but shook it off, it was just an empty compliment, the sort of thing a man said when they wanted something. I shoved the book into my bag and zipped it up. I shrugged, trying to appear as uncaring as possible as I slipped the bag back on to my back. “Then why are you surprised?” I asked. I tried to act like I wasn’t particularly interested in the answer. “Well, I know you aren’t reading it in class. I just thought it might be a little dry for reading in your leisure time at school.” Jacob said with a shrug, “I thought you might read something a little more action packed like, I don’t know, The Hunger Games?” I let out a snort of laughter as if to say he was completely wrong. I didn’t tell him that I had the entire series of The Hunger Games on my shelf in my room and that I often read through the whole series. “Yeah, well…” I didn’t know what to say and fell silent. “Let me accompany you to the nurse’s office.” Jacob said, “To make up for knocking you over.” This guy was annoying me. Why did he have to seem so nice and reasonable on top of being handsome? I really didn’t need walking to the nurse’s room, having visited it multiple times a day for years I could probably find it with my eyes closed, but I wasn’t saying no. I didn’t know for sure WHY I wasn’t saying no, but I wasn’t. I slung my bag over my back and shrugged. “If you want, I guess.” I said with indifference as I started walking. After a couple of steps Jacob drew level with me. I looked away as he walked me down the corridor to the rear of the building. I felt very self-conscious of the way I was walking but a normal gait was impossible with the thick padding and what it contained. I was surprised Jacob hadn’t made a comment about the stink because I could smell it, and if I could he certainly could to. “Shouldn’t you be in class?” I asked just to end the silence which had felt oppressive. “I got a pass to use the bathroom.” Jacob said as he pulled some paper out of his pocket. “Lucky you…” I muttered with envy. We reached the door to the outside and I stepped through it ahead of Jacob. I had thought he was going to turn around, but he continued outside. I knew the pass gave him permission to be out of class, but I had to think he would be missed after a little while. Perhaps the boys were just given more leeway than us girls. It wouldn’t have surprised me. He certainly seemed in no particular rushed. “So, Prom’s a big deal around here, huh?” Jacob said as we approached the nurse’s offices. Here we go. I should’ve known there was an ulterior motive. I’d already shot him down at lunch but now he was coming on to me again. I couldn’t deny that I found him less awful than most of the men at the school, but he was still a man, probably playing a role to trick me into thinking he wasn’t a complete asshole. I wasn’t about to surrender myself to any guy no matter how much I was pestered. “It is.” I replied stiffly. I waited for the question which was sure to follow. I waited for Jacob to ask me out, get shot down, and then walk away. He may have been playing nice, but I was sure it was only to lower my guard. I’d spent eighteen years around guys, and I knew they were never nice without a reason. Jacob remained silent as we reached the cabin that held the nurses. I closed my eyes and braced myself for turning him down again. “Well, I’ll see you around.” Jacob said, “Sorry again for walking into you.” My mouth was already open and ready to reject him when I heard Jacob turn around and start walking away. I frowned and turned myself to watch Jacob walking away. I was confused. He didn’t look back as he went back through the door into the school. I stood in stunned silence for half a minute until the door to the cabin opened and a nurse came walking out. “Everything alright?” The nurse asked as he walked past me with a frown. “Yes… sorry.” I replied as I was brought back to reality. Still surprised that I had been wrong about Jacob and that he, apparently, had escorted me as a selfless act I walked into the cabin. I went to the first nurse who was sitting at his computer and climbed straight up on to the changing table. I didn’t envy him. My diaper was a disaster area. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. I tried not to let it show that I was simultaneously reaching back to press my diaper against me. I was almost certain that I hadn’t dirtied my diaper, but it wasn’t impossible that I had. It wouldn’t have been the first time that I’d had an accident without noticing. I was about ninety-five percent sure I was clean. “Maybe you’re smelling yourself.” I sneered. We were sat at the kitchen table doing homework. For me that meant I was writing the same letters over and over in an attempt to improve my handwriting. It wasn’t going well. Just like my sewing and cooking abilities, my writing wasn’t the best. In fact, it was pretty awful. After completing a line of “R” I looked back to see most of them were little more than scribbles. Even I had to admit that there was no way any objective person would look at what I had written and know what it was. Opposite me, Ollie was writing as well. However, unlike my very basic attempts at improving my handwriting he was writing a whole essay. I didn’t tend to pay too much attention to my brother’s homework, but I had to admit some curiosity this time. It seemed he was writing a book report on one of my favourite books. “Bridge to Terabithia?” I tried to sound disinterested. “Yeah, it sucks.” Ollie said as he tossed the book halfway across the table, “And they want me to write a report on it. It’s two little brats making up a magic world. Booooring.” “What are you talking about!?” I said as if an insult to the book was an insult to me as well. “It’s for babies.” Ollie tilted his chair back. He had seemingly only written a couple of paragraphs. “It’s a classic!” I argued, “It’s beautiful.” “Whatever… If you like it so much, why don’t you write it.” Ollie said as he pushed the paper towards me. I looked down at the barely started report and sighed. I would’ve loved to have written the report more than anything, I loved that book, but it wasn’t possible. My brother’s handwriting wasn’t perfect but next to my toddler-level scrawls it looked great. “Oh, I forgot.” Ollie smirked, “I guess you can’t.” I was about to respond angrily when my phone vibrated on the table. Girls my age were often allowed phones, but they were blocked from connecting to the internet or doing anything fun. I didn’t often get notifications for anything, so I was quickly distracted picking it up. It was a call from Zoe. I fumbled the phone once before sliding my finger up to answer the call. “Hello?” I said. “Oh. My. God!” Zoe said, “I’ve got great news, and I just have to tell you.” “Oh?” I frowned. I wasn’t sure exactly what could be so exciting that it couldn’t wait for school the next day. “I’ve got a date for the prom!” Zoe said. I could practically hear her clapping her hands as she told me. What I did hear was the loud sound of a diaper tape. “Oh, that-… Wait, are you being changed?” I asked. “Uh huh.” Zoe mumbled in response, “But that’s not important. What IS important is that I’m going to the dance with Jacob!” I felt my stomach drop. Jacob? As in the Jacob who had asked me to the dance earlier that day? The man who had walked me to the nurse? I shouldn’t have cared at all. Anyone who knew me knew I had no interest in any man. So why was my immediate reaction one of anger and jealousy. “Jacob?” I eventually forced myself to say, “I thought you were into Liam…” “Yeah, but Liam is totally oblivious, and I needed SOMEONE.” Zoe said, “I didn’t want to be the only girl without a man.” This would normally be where I would remind her there would be at least one other girl either there alone or not there at all. However, I was still mired in both a confusing mix of emotions and trying to work out why I was feeling them. It didn’t seem to matter; Zoe was more than prepared to keep talking. “So, I saw Jacob just before leaving and decided to throw caution to the wind.” Zoe said, “If no one was going to ask me then I was going to ask them!” “You asked Jacob?” I was surprised. It was very unusual for a girl to ask a boy. In fact, most boys would see it as a threat to their masculinity and would reject them on that basis alone. “Yep!” Zoe said. “And he said yes?” I asked. “Yep!” Zoe said again. “Oh…” I paused for an uncomfortably long time. I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to say, “Well, erm, congratulations.” “Thank you!” Zoe said excitedly. In the background I could hear her mom telling her to lift her butt, “We’ll talk more at school.” “OK, bye.” I said and hung up before Zoe could reply. I knew I shouldn’t be upset with her, but I was. I put my phone down and glared down at my homework. I felt like I was in turmoil, but I didn’t know why. I picked up my pen and started to continue my letters, I was pressing the pen against the paper so hard I thought the paper might tear. I was so angry, and I didn’t know where to direct it. I pressed all my negative emotions down into the pen as I continued to write the letters. My mind was elsewhere though and as I became increasingly distracted my letters were getting even wilder. It had been hard to tell what some of the letters were supposed to be before but now some of them were nothing but indistinct scribbles. As I continued to struggle to maintain my composure, Dad walked in and went over to the sink. I guessed Mom was out, it was about the only way Dad would get his own drink like he was doing right then. He ruffled Ollie’s hair as he walked past but ignored me. “What’s that supposed to be?” Ollie asked as he leaned over and looked at my paper. “An “R”.” I replied quietly. The letters, which had started at least evenly spaced even if they were a little untidy, were now scrawled everywhere as if a mad person had written them. “Really?” Ollie snorted with laughter, “Doesn’t look like it.” I tried to ignore Ollie. I was already upset and the last thing I needed was my brother needling me. He knew how much growing up meant to me and he knew exactly how to get under my skin. I closed my eyes and took a deep shuddering breath. I knew he was trying to rile me up, I just had to ignore it. “Looks like a toddler drew it.” Ollie said. I looked at Dad. He knew I got wound up like this and yet he was doing nothing to stop my brother from taunting me. From their point of view, making fun of me was normal and it was my responsibility not to respond. Ollie took my pen from out of my hand and turned the paper around. I glared at him as he drew a perfect “R”. “See?” Ollie said as he passed my homework back to me, “Easy.” “Leave me alone.” I hissed. “I’m just trying to help.” Ollie replied. My hands balled up into my fists. I felt a throbbing in my forehead and my legs trembled under the table. I needed to remove myself from the room before I did something I’d regret. “Here. Let me show you.” Ollie said. My brother stood behind me and leaned over my shoulder. He slipped the pen into my hand and the took hold of my arm. He started guiding my hand and drawing the letter I had struggled with. When I saw that it was indeed an improvement over my own efforts, I felt like I was reaching melting point. I could almost feel my face going a deep shade of red. “There we go! Well done!” Ollie said with faux excitement. He leaned in close to my ear until I could feel his breath, “Baby.” I had no control of my reactions. I couldn’t stand the taunting anymore and combined with the strange mix of feelings the phone call had given to me the red mist descended. I wheeled around and shoved Ollie as had as I could, I grunted from the effort as Ollie stumbled backwards and then, rather theatrically, fell to the floor, his back against the fridge. There was no way I was strong enough to have caused that myself. “Emma!” Dad’s voice boomed. My eyes widened. I was still looking at Ollie who I saw smirking. He’d gotten exactly what he wanted. Dad was in the room and had witnessed what I had done. As I turned back around, he was advancing on me, I slipped out of the chair but in my desperation to get away my uncoordinated feet got tangled together causing me to trip. I would’ve hit the floor hard if Dad hadn’t reached out and grabbed my wrist. “Stop!” I squealed as I was pulled back to the table, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Ollie was…” “Don’t you dare try to blame your brother.” Dad said angrily, “I saw what was happening. He was helping you with your homework.” “He wasn’t!” I protested. Tears were already filling my eyes as I started stumbling over my words in trying to explain myself. I was pushed forwards and a hand in the back bent me over the table. I knew what was coming. Dad’s go to punishment for when I “acted out” was a swift hard spanking. I tensed up knowing what was going to come. Despite being totally prepared when Dad’s hand made loud contact with the back of my soggy disposable, I yelped like a puppy who had just had its tail stepped on. The first was swiftly followed by a second and a third. I couldn’t contain my emotions and tears started streaming down my face. It wasn’t fair and yet no one would believe me. I hit the table with my fists as the whacks to my backside continued, a deep throbbing pain soon developing underneath my stinging skin, the diaper seemed to do nothing to offer me protection. After around a dozen spanks, I didn’t bother counting, I felt Dad smack me one more time. My top half was splayed out on the table, and I was snatching deep breaths of air in between loud sobs. I thought it was over and tried to stand up, but Dad held me in place. I grunted from the effort before giving up and remaining in place, trying to blink the tears out of my eyes so I could see again. “Ollie, come over here.” Dad instructed. I heard Ollie climbing to his feet and walking behind me, “Now, son, it’s important you don’t let girls take advantage of any kindness. Sure, they’re weak, but they need a strong hand to guide them. Spank your sister.” “W-What!?” I exclaimed as I struggled again to get up. Ollie hadn’t spanked me before; punishment was Dad’s realm. I was shoved back down and the weight on my back only increased. “I can?” Ollie asked. He sounded almost in awe, as if he was being bestowed a great honour. “You’re becoming a man.” Dad sounded proud, “Just a couple of spanks to start with.” I was shaking my head and trying to claw my way across the table in my desperation to get away. Unfortunately, Dad could now use both hands to keep me in place. I looked back over my shoulder through tear-filled eyes at Ollie getting into position with his hand hovering an inch from my butt. He was looking up at Dad for guidance. “Argh!” I screamed as Ollie spanked me hard on my already bruised backside. The delay between the first half of the punishment and the second had only allowed the blood to return and make things hurt even worse. After just a few impacts the extra spanking stopped and Dad finally let me stand up. My hands immediately went to rub my butt. I was looking down at the floor, my face was red and puffy from the crying. “Apologise to your brother.” Dad demanded. I scowled. One of my hands came up to rub my face and I looked up. Ollie was standing a foot away and smiling widely. I knew that if I failed to do as I was told I would be back over the table. I swallowed back the tears and took a deep breath. “I’m sorry I pushed you.” I muttered. “Now you can go to your room.” Dad instructed before Ollie could say anything back, “I’ll send your mother up to put you in your crib shortly.” Normally I would be very upset that I had to go to bed without dinner but this time I was fine with getting time alone. I turned on my heels and practically ran from the room towards the stairs. I didn’t stop until I got to my room where I slammed the door and flung myself on to my mattress. I started loudly crying and it didn’t feel like I’d ever stop. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. It was a lie. “You seem upset.” Zoe said with a shrug. I chewed on the pacifier bulb in my mouth. I was copying down some sums that Mr. Smith was writing on the board at the front of the room. It was very basic math, easy and repetitive. It meant my friends had more time to think about other things and, apparently, they were using that spare capacity to think about me. “You do seem angry.” Nicole added. I squeezed my pencil in my hand so hard that I was surprised that it didn’t snap. Was there anything that was designed to make you get angry than people saying these things to you? I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. As I shifted in my seat I winced, the bruising on my backside would take days to disappear completely. I was trying to concentrate on my writing. I had a hard enough time trying to have legible handwriting without all these distractions. The worst part was that my friends were obviously right. I was angry. Everyone in my situation would be. Ever since the phone call from Zoe the night before I had barely been able to think about anything else. On the bus to school, I avoided her completely. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay away from Zoe and Nicole forever and now they wanted to know why I was so moody. “Can you both just shut up?” I hissed as I took my pacifier out quickly, “I’m trying to concentrate.” “I’m already done.” Nicole shrugged, “Do you want some help?” “No!” I said a little too loudly. “Emma, is there something you want to share with the class?” Mr. Smith asked. “No, sir.” I replied as I put my soother back in, “Sorry.” In truth there was a lot I wanted to shout about to get it all off my chest. I wanted to scream about how unfair my life was, how I wanted to be more coordinated like Nicole, how my brother was an asshole and that my supposed “friend”, Zoe, was a traitor! I froze up a bit and frowned. What was I thinking? Zoe wasn’t a traitor. She was just going to a dance with a guy. I’d made it very clear over the years how I never wanted to date any man. And that was still true… wasn’t it? Of course it was, all men were pigs, I didn’t want anything to do with any of them no matter how nice Jacob acted towards me. I went back to my work and tried to stop thinking so hard about everything. I tried to concentrate as much as possible on my numbers and making them fully formed and understandable. The teacher was droning on about times tables and I tried to listen. “You’ve been acting weird all morning.” Zoe whispered. “I’m fine.” I replied quickly. Zoe just wouldn’t let it go. “Is it because of the phone call?” Zoe asked. “Phone call?” Nicole asked. “Yeah, I called Emma to tell her I was going to the prom with Jacob.” Zoe replied. I was so tense I thought a blood vessel would burst. I so desperately wished that none of this was having an effect on me. Couldn’t they see that it didn’t bother me at all that the one nice guy I’d ever met was going to the dance with my best friend? I just wished they would stop talking about it. I tried to focus on what Mr. Smith was saying about multiplication, but my ears were trained on my friends’ conversation. “Oh, Jacob?” Nicole said, “Do you like him too, Emma?” “Will you both ju-…” I started loudly. “Emma!” Mr. Smith called out, “Since you have so much to say perhaps you could answer the question.” All heads turned towards me, and I shifted awkwardly in my wet diaper. I hadn’t been paying attention; I had no idea what the question was yet alone the answer. I looked around at the board hoping for a clue but could see nothing which hinted at what I should say. Out of the corner of my I looked towards Nicole; I nudged her with my foot under the table, but she wasn’t saying anything. “Any time today.” Mr. Smith said impatiently. “Erm…” I had no choice. I was just going to have to guess and hoped I was the luckiest person in the world, “Seven?” “Seven?” Mr. Smith repeated with a frown. I heard some titters of laughter and felt my face flushing. It was excruciating. I cursed the other pupils, if they had been sitting with their friends nattering in their ears about inane crap, they wouldn’t know what to say either. She gave an awkward half-shrug towards the teacher. “For someone who is apparently desperate to join the boys’ classes you really don’t help yourself.” Mr. Smith shook his head, “Try listening, OK?” “I was listening, it’s just I-…” My words were cut off. “Someone else’s fault?” Mr. Smith asked. His smirk was making me angry, “Emma, if you don’t take responsibility for your actions, you’re never going to amount to much.” “You mean like teaching for a decade and still relegated to the girl’s classes?” I had spoken before I had engaged my brain. No sooner had the words left my mouth than I was clamping my hand over my pacifier, pushing it into my lips in the hope it would stop me talking. Every student in the school knew it was a sore point for the teacher. He had never bothered to hide how much he thought teaching girls was a waste of time. The rather smug smile he had at telling me off vanished to be replaced with an altogether darker expression. “In the corner.” Mr. Smith said as he pointed to a space near the door, “Now!” I actually counted myself lucky my punishment for speaking out like that was just corner time. I didn’t argue as I stood up and awkwardly waddled to the front of the class. All eyes were on me and as I walked past the teacher’s desk Mr. Smith leaned down to give my padded butt one quick swat. He put his other hand on my shoulder, stopping me. “One more word out of you…” Mr. Smith growled warningly, “And you can forget about graduating. I’ll hold you back a year. Understood?” My blood chilled in my veins. That was no empty threat. It was a lot easier to hold girls back than boys and Mr. Smith could easily have recommended such a move. I nodded my head quickly and pushed my pacifier between my lips again, it had dropped out when I had tried to answer him. His hand pointed to the naughty corner, and I scurried towards it, banging my hip on the corner of the teacher’s desk in my hurry. It was still early in the day as I sat down on the stool facing the corner just inches away from me. I looked up slightly to see the big sign proclaiming it to be the “Naughty Corner” and felt a fresh shade of red descend on to my face. I was entirely visible to every eye in the classroom, I was sure everyone was looking at my back. My diaper suddenly felt twice as big and I imagined it bulging out dramatically. “Right, let’s get back to the lesson.” Mr. Smith said to the class. I sighed and leaned forwards, so my head rested against the corner. There was nothing to do or distract myself with here. The two walls were a pristine white and joined together with nothing to distinguish them. There was nothing to focus my mind on except for my frustration and humiliation. It wasn’t the first time I had been sent to the corner. I knew how time started playing tricks on you, how it felt like hours had passed when in reality the clock had barely ticked a few minutes. Lunch was a long way off and I expected that was the minimum amount of time I was going to spend on the stool. I sighed. I wanted to tear the world apart. At morning break I heard all the other girl’s crinkling past me on their way outside. I remained seated and hoped I would be allowed to join them, but Mr. Smith sat down at his desk and started doing some marking. Part of me wondered if he knew I was still there. I adjusted in my seat causing crinkles to echo around the silent room, there was no doubt the teacher heard me, but he didn’t say anything, he just cleared his throat and kept marking. The problem was that although time felt like it had frozen for me in the corner my bodily functions definitely hadn’t. I had wet my diaper several times in the course of the morning. The only attention I had gotten from Mr. Smith was when he would bring over fresh bottles for me to drink. There was now several of them by my feet. The point was my diaper was very wet. Normally I would’ve asked to visit the nurse or, if it was break, take myself that way, but I had been told not to make a sound. I couldn’t risk being held back and having to repeat the whole year. Soon the bell rang, and the girls started coming back in. I felt so humiliated in the corner that my eyes were filled with tears. A fresh blossoming of warm urine in my baby pants was pushing the padding to my limit. My legs shook a little as Mr. Smith went back to teaching. He hadn’t even checked me. I always felt anxious when I was very wet, it was turned up to eleven in my current situation. I had occasionally been in the living room when my dad or brother were watching films that I technically shouldn’t have been allowed to. I had seen some films set during wars or in prisons, I had seen the main characters get sent to solitary where they would start losing their minds after so long in the dark and quiet. I started to envy those characters. At least their solitary granted them some privacy. I was stuck with the whole class looking my way, I would’ve welcomed a dark and quiet room at that point. I tried to listen to Mr. Smith droning on about math but without being able to write things down or see any visual aids I quickly became lost. It just raised my anxiety even more, to the point where I was finding it hard to stay still. My diaper was so horribly uncomfortable, and it was disgusting to be so in need of a change. The hours passed by slowly and my diaper became a ticking timebomb. I could feel how soaked it was, from the front to the back the padding had swollen up underneath my childish outfit. At any moment my bladder might give way again and when it did, I had little doubt the diaper would too. Eventually, losing my nerve in the game of chicken with my soaked underwear, I raised my hand to try and get Mr. Smith’s attention. He didn’t come over or say anything. I hoped that one of students would bring his attention to me, but they didn’t say anything either. Traitors, I thought to myself. If any of them were struggling, I would’ve tried to help… probably. I knew lunch must be getting close because my tummy had started rumbling. I had just started wondering if I would be released from my sentence to go and have lunch when disaster struck. I started wetting myself, but the diaper immediately gave way. I could feel the urine collecting on the stool beneath me and running down my legs, a hot streak that quickly cooled. I froze in horror as my bladder continued to empty without any conscious effort on my part. The rest of the class was silent, working on some sums, tears filled my eyes. I tried to stop my bladder, to clench down and stem the flow, since the diaper seemed to have zero absorbency remaining. I might as well have not bothered, I couldn’t do a thing to stop the flow. I sobbed lightly, still not sure whether I could move but feeling more ashamed and humiliated than ever in my life before. Drip. Drip. Drip. I closed my eyes and then covered my blushing face. In the quiet classroom where the only sound was the occasional crinkle from a classmate the liquid now running over the side of the stool was loud, at least to my ears. I moved slightly and the dripping became a temporary stream from the displaced pee. This was a disaster, and I felt frozen, I didn’t know what to do. “Erm, Mr. Smith?” I heard a voice near me speak up. “Yes, Olivia?” Mr. Smith replied. “Sir, I think Emma needs to go to the nurse…” Olivia said. There was a slight pause and then I heard Mr. Smith walking rapidly towards me. For a second, I thought he’d lost his mind, and he was just going to start swinging. I tensed up in preparation but instead only felt his hand on the scruff of my onesie as he pulled me backwards off the stool and to my feet. “Oh, for goodness… Why didn’t you say you needed the nurse!?” Mr. Smith shouted. Now that I was standing it felt like the leak was worse. The whole bottom of my onesie felt sodden, and the now cold urine streaked down my legs on to the thankfully hardwood floor. I was looking at the ground and sobbing. Yet again I could feel everyone staring at my latest humiliation. I had never felt further away from my goal of getting out of that damn class. “Y-You… You said… not to… speak.” I haltingly explained between sobs. “Obviously I meant not to speak out of turn.” Mr. Smith said with annoyance, “I didn’t want you to make a mess of my classroom!” I suddenly felt very stupid. I should’ve known better but the threat of being held back a year was too great to take the risk of talking. Now, however, I had made things much worse for myself. The puddle around my feet was still growing. “Go to the nurse and sort yourself out.” Mr. Smith said crossly, “And tell reception we need the janitor.” --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. Mr. Smith handed me a pass and I kept my face to the floor to avoid looking at my classmates, girls who I was certain were mocking me. I tried to run but the diaper, swollen to its maximum size, prevented any fast movement. Instead, it left me walking awkwardly and dripping more urine with each step, I could practically feel it all sloshing around in my underwear. I closed the classroom door behind me and went towards reception. I was still sobbing when I reached the window and informed the men working there what Mr. Smith needed. They looked at me with revulsion when they saw the, thankfully thinning, trail of liquid I was leaving behind me. I turned before they could say anything and went through the side door towards the nurses’ hut. Fortunately, there wasn’t a queue outside the nurse’s hut. I was able to waddle straight in and I was taken to a changing table. It was Nurse Loondis who was looking me up and down. “Good grief, what happened to you?” Nurse Loondis asked. “I don’t want to talk about it…” I muttered as I hopped up on to the edge of the table. My onesie was soaked and was taken off my body. After the nurse had changed my diaper, the onesie was balled up and placed in a plastic bag. It was too wet to wear again, instead I was given a plain white school onesie. I felt fresh shame. The white onesie with the school’s logo was like a badge of shame, there was only one reason a girl would be wearing it. Everyone who looked my way would know I had leaked all over my clothes. I was given the plastic bag with my soiled onesie once I was in my fresh diaper and sent on my way. I would be carrying it around for the rest of the day, like a visual representation of my absolute failure. The bell rang for lunch as I left the hut, so I started making my way towards the lunchroom. I kept my face towards the ground, I knew I was attracting more looks than usual. People laughed and made comments as I went past. I didn’t blame them. I judged girls in the onesie of shame in a similar way. By the time I reached the cafeteria it was mostly full. It was as loud as ever; I hadn’t brought my school bag, but I wasn’t particularly hungry anyway. I saw my friends at their usual table, with a start I noticed that Jacob was sitting with Zoe and Nicole. I started heading elsewhere to a different table, I was still mad at all of them, when I heard Zoe’s voice. “Emma! Over here!” Zoe shouted. A lot of people turned my way. I took a deep breath and turned towards the table with my friends. I dropped into my usual seat. I was opposite Jacob who gave me a friendly smile then looked down at the onesie I was wearing. “Interesting outfit.” Jacob said. “I…” I had barely opened my mouth when Zoe interrupted. “She leaked.” Zoe said as she bit into a sandwich, “Like, everywhere.” I looked down at the table. I knew my eyes were still red from the tears that had been stinging them. Zoe was so used to the situation it sometimes seemed like she had no shame about it. In some ways I envied her. If I wasn’t born with a need to be better than I was then I would’ve probably found it a lot easier to be happy with what felt like a half-existence. “How are you, Emma?” Jacob asked, “You look like you’ve been crying.” “I haven’t.” I lied defensively, “And I’m fine.” As I ate my lunch without appetite, I noticed that Jacob was spending a lot of time glancing over towards me even as Zoe was talking to him. Our eyes met a few times and despite myself I was blushing. “So, then we were doing math, right? And it was so boring. Like, when am I going to have to know how to multiply stuff? Dad says as long as I can add together the shopping list, I’ll be fine. I wish we were learning something more useful like…” Zoe went on and on. She seemed to have no idea that Jacob was only half paying attention to her. I forced myself to look away from Jacob. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a great many directions to look in otherwise. I glanced around and my eyes fell on Liam who looked a little annoyed and was less talkative than usual. He was just looking down at his food as he ate with a face like thunder. I guessed he was as annoyed at Zoe as I was because of his crush. “What about you, Emma?” Jacob asked when Zoe paused her motor mouth for air, “Do you like math?” I shrugged my shoulders without looking towards Jacob. I pointedly looked away to where Nicole was sitting on my other side. She was looking bored. I felt a pang of anxiety. It seemed like she was rapidly moving away from our little friendship group. I couldn’t ignore that she was developing in exactly the way I was desperate to, and she was doing it quickly. It wasn’t just my friendship that had me feeling anxious, there was a sense that she was going to leave me behind. I desperately wanted to develop along with her, but I simply couldn’t. It made me feel panicky. It was as if Nicole was on the last life raft on a sinking ship and I was watching her rowing away as I went down. “All this Prom stuff is driving me nuts.” I said to Nicole. “I just ignore it.” Nicole replied. “Me too.” I said. But as I noticed Jacob glancing my way again, I felt like no matter how much I tried to ignore it, it refused to ignore me. Zoe was talking about something but when my eyes caught Jacob’s again, I found myself unable to look away. I swallowed nervously as I took in Jacob’s well-defined jaw, his small nose, his deep eyes and long hair. It was like a tunnel had opened up linking us both. The noise of the rest of the cafeteria faded away. “Jacob? Are you listening to me?” Zoe said rather crossly. “Of course.” Jacob looked away and the spell was broken. I swallowed. I was feeling really weird. I packed my half-eaten lunch away and mumbled something about needing to study as I piled it all in my bag. I got away from the table as fast as I could and retreated out of the cafeteria towards the girl’s restroom. The girl’s rooms were practically never used for obvious reasons, but law still required them to exist. I pushed my way into one and went over to the sink to splash my face with cold water. I looked up into the mirror. “Stop it.” I told myself, “You have a hard enough time as it is. Don’t make this harder for yourself.” I heard giggling and turned towards one of the stalls. The door was closed but not locked. I walked over and gave it a little push to reveal a boy, and a girl deeply entwined with each other, their lips locked and their hands exploring. “Oh, erm, sorry…” I mumbled in embarrassment. It didn’t seem like the two lovers heard me; it didn’t even seem like they had noticed I was even there. That was fine by me. I quickly took my leave and decided I would find another place to hide out until afternoon classes began. In the end I settled on the library. The library was like a safe haven. There were still restrictions on books in there, as a girl I wasn’t allowed to check out most of the higher end textbooks, but when it came to fiction there were no limits. It was how I had been able to keep myself sane for so long. The one place I could escape my reality was to lose myself in literature. It was also why, in my opinion, I had a pretty extensive vocabulary compared to most of my peers. For all Nicole’s motor skills, I still wagered I knew more words than her. I wasn’t looking for a book that day though. I simply took my bag over to one of the tables and flopped down into it. I put my head on the table and tried to get some sort of order in my confused mind. It wasn’t long before I heard footsteps and looked up. I was very surprised to see Liam standing next to the table. It seemed like I was destined to have the worst day of my life. “Do you want to go to the Prom with me?” Liam asked. I almost burst out laughing. There was no preamble, no asking me how I was or even a quick hello. Liam simply got straight to business. He didn’t even look that happy invested into asking me out. Perhaps, knowing me as well as he did, he knew that my chances of saying yes were very slim. In fact, I was about to turn him down when I paused. “Why?” I asked, “You’ve barely even spoken to me before.” “You’re cute.” Liam shrugged, “And available.” “How romantic…” I muttered. Liam rolled his eyes. I guessed that he didn’t spend a lot of time thinking romantically about anything. I sighed. “OK.” I said with a shrug, “Sure.” “Wait… really!?” Liam’s eyes went super wide. “Sure, why not?” I said. “OK.” Liam stood awkwardly next to the table. It was clear he didn’t have much idea what to do next. I could tell he hadn’t expected to get this far. “I’ll talk to you later.” I said to give Liam an out. “S-Sure.” Liam nearly walked into a table as he turned to walk away, “Thanks!” I shook my head. I already felt a little bad. Liam was nice enough, but he had quite traditional views of what girls should be. He was exactly the sort of guy who put me off all men. But… Zoe had a crush on him, and Zoe had asked out Jacob. This felt like a sort of petty revenge, but if Zoe was going to take the only man I could stand to be in a room with, then I would take the one she was clearly crushing on. I almost immediately regretted the impulsive decision I had made but it was already too late to turn back. I had no doubt that as I sat in the library Liam was hurrying back to the canteen where he would tell everyone he had done what no other boy had managed. Get me to agree to a date. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. It was as if I had just run over her dog. “What?” I asked innocently, as if I had no idea why Zoe might be cross, “He followed me to the library and asked me out…” “And you said yes!?” Zoe exclaimed. I shrugged. We were sitting on the bus, and I was starting to feel embarrassed. Zoe wasn’t keeping her voice down and that was causing everyone to turn our way. I had felt regret immediately after agreeing to the date for such selfish and vindictive reasons but now, in the eye of the storm that was Zoe’s anger, I felt even worse. I couldn’t admit I had only agreed to make her jealous. For one thing it might end what small sliver of a hope we had of salvaging our friendship, for another it would be an acceptance and admittance that I was interested in Jacob. “I can’t believe it!” Zoe shook her head and looked away from me in disgust. “Come on.” I tried to reason with her. Perhaps justifying what I had done to myself as well as her, “You’re going with Jacob, what’s the big deal?” “You KNOW I like Liam!” Zoe shouted. I looked around at all the faces staring our way. This was the last thing I wanted. Strangely, I was more embarrassed that all these people now knew I had a date with a guy than the argument itself. I had always been so vehemently against being a man’s partner with all that entailed, now everyone was going to look at me like I was as bad as all the other girls with a future of domestic servitude. “Look, I’m sorry, alright?” I hissed quietly to try and get Zoe to calm down. It seemed to work a little bit. Zoe didn’t reply. She simply stood up and waddled away from the seat and sat next to Nicole who had been nearer the back of the bus talking to a group of boys. Everyone’s attention soon dispersed from me, and I was able to sit quietly until the bus pulled up at my stop. I stood up with my backpack and plastic bag filled with my wet clothes and got off the bus as quickly as I could. When I got home, I felt exhausted from the day. I closed the front door behind me and leaned back against it with my eyes closed. What I needed more than anything was a nap, as much as I was loathe to admit it. I heard a crinkling coming rapidly down the hallway towards me and opened my eyes just in time to see Mom barrel into me with a big hug. I tried to pry her off me, but her grip was stronger than mine and I was only released when she decided to let go. “Oh, baby, I’ve heard the great news!” Mom said excitedly. I’d never seen her so happy. “What news?” I asked. “You and Liam!” Mom clapped her hands in time with the words. “What!?” I started to exclaim before Mom was hugging me again. She squeezed so hard I was lifted off the ground and I felt my bladder empty into my already wet diaper. I couldn’t speak until she had put me down again, “How!?” “Liam’s Mom called me.” Mom said. I closed my eyes and let out a deep breath. Liam must’ve called his mother, who had called my mother… which I imagine meant news was spreading fast. I could imagine big billboards up all around the country proclaiming the news as if it was of national importance. Whilst I knew that wouldn’t be the case it still rankled that even more people were finding out about my capitulation. What a mistake it had been… “This is great!” Mom said, “We need to get you new clothes, new shoes and… Wait, why are you wearing that?” “I… leaked.” I admitted with embarrassment. As I spoke, Mom’s hand went down to my diaper which she pressed against me and no doubt felt needed a change. I had adopted the slightly wide legged stance of a toddler getting a diaper check to make it easier for her. “Oh dear, well, let’s get you changed and then we’ll go shopping!” Mom said as she pulled me towards the stairs. “I’m pretty tired…” I started. “This is going to be just like old times!” Mom said as I nearly tripped on the stairs behind her with my lack of coordination, “Do you remember when you were a little girl and we used to go out shopping nearly every week?” I did remember those weekend trips. Though it was with considerably less nostalgia than my mom had. It wasn’t that I didn’t like Mom, I did, it was just pretty clear that we had very little in common and her idea of “fashion” for me is usually the most infantile thing she can find. But then, to mom and most of the rest of the world, I was still the same little girl I had always been. Taken to my nursery I wasn’t allowed to help mom at all as she pulled the snaps on my onesie. As the front and rear flaps fell away, I felt my diaper droop slightly. I was wetter than I thought, the onesie had held my padding up hidden just how heavy it was. I was helped up on to the changing table by a hand on my rear end and then I turned around to lay on my back whilst mom got to work changing me. As I laid back and stared up Mom babbled on and on about shops, we could visit to get a dress for the Prom. I had agreed to the date out of spite, and it felt like it was backfiring in every way. The wet diaper was lowered, and I jumped a little as mom wiped me clean and then pulled the padding out from under me. My legs were held back until a fresh diaper was prepared. It wasn’t long before I was taped up again. Mom selected an outfit to go shopping in. a pink shirt with a white smiling unicorn on it and a denim skirtall to go over the top. I didn’t like any of my juvenile outfits, of course, but I had to admit this was one of the least worst options available. “Right, let’s get going.” Mom said happily. “Do we have to go today?” I whined, “I’m tired.” “No time like the present!” Mom called over her shoulder as she left the room. With a deep sense of regret over what I had so carelessly agreed to my shoulders slumped forwards and I followed mom out of the room. Women weren’t trusted to drive, even if they had gained full coordination, so we caught the bus to the shopping mall on the edge of town. Mom was very excited, she always was when we got to do “mother-daughter” stuff together, probably because I usually avoided it as much as possible. “We should check over here!” Mom said as soon as we walked through the doors to the mall. She was holding my hand, and I was pulled towards the nearest clothes store. If I thought this was going to be a short experience, I was quickly proven wrong. In that first store I saw a dress that looked marginally acceptable and pointed it out to Mom. She ooh’ed and aah’ed over it but then put it back and dragged me to another store. Then another. Wherever we went mom would excitedly talk about how cute each dress was and how beautiful I’d look. They all seemed various degrees of awful to me. Some were relatively plain, almost what I would describe as normal, and it was towards those that I tried to pull mom’s attention. Other dresses were hideous. Shockingly pink, ruffled to an insane degree, the skirt section flaring out in every direction wildly. It wasn’t a surprise that it was these dresses that mom seemed to like. I was feeling exhausted from my long day. Mom had just dragged me into the fifth different store, and I sat down on the couch provided. This one had a section just for Prom dresses and as I leaned back against the couch mom started looking through all of them. I closed my eyes and let my thoughts drift away. I could almost feel myself sinking into the cushions as I let out a deep breath, and with it, most of my thoughts. Standing in the school’s large hall I was alone. I was naked, not even a diaper covering me. I quickly covered my private areas as best as I could but when I saw that no one else was around I let my arms fall to my side again. I started walking towards the door but as I approached it, I heard a noise behind me. I turned to see Jacob sitting on the edge of the raised stage. Like me, he was naked, but he had one leg crossed over the other so I couldn’t see anything except his toned body and flowing hair. It was as if he was glowing. I suddenly realised I was staring and, even worse, was still completely naked! I quickly tried to cover up again, looking around for any kind of clothing or towel I was left disappointed. I could feel embarrassment overcoming me. “I… I…” Stuttering, I wasn’t sure what to do. I wanted to run and hide but I was rooted in place as if Jacob had cast a spell over me. Jacob was smiling and it was melting my heart. He raised a hand and held it out, slowly moving his fingers to beckon me forwards. I swallowed. It didn’t feel like this was safe. What if someone walked in? I looked up to say this to Jacob, but he smiled, and the flash of those brilliantly white teeth stopped my words before they started. My legs started moving. As I got closer, I could feel my knees becoming weaker. My usual lack of coordination making me fear tripping over. I slowly lowered my arms to my sides to increase my balance, simultaneously revealing my breasts and the crease between my legs to this beautiful man. His expression didn’t change. He just nodded my head and encouraged me forwards. Like a moth to an alluring flame, I stumbled onwards. Once I was within a dozen or so feet of Jacob, he finally shifted position. My breath caught in my throat as he opened his legs and showed me his most intimate areas. I’d never found myself interested in things like this before, I’d always tried to think as little about men as possible, yet I swallowed with nervous anticipation. “Come on…” Jacob’s voice was soft but still echoed off the walls, “You know what to do.” I may not have thought much about boys, but I’d heard the girl’s gossip. I knew roughly what guys liked. I never thought I’d be the one to do it though, my independence meant so much to me, surely, I wasn’t about to drop my convictions just because the most handsome man I’d ever seen told me to. My mind was on autopilot. I couldn’t have resisted. I didn’t want to resist. Distracted as I was, I finally tripped over my own feet and fell on to all fours. I had been threatening to fall over on the entire walk and now I was down on the ground. I looked up, I was close enough to the stage that I couldn’t see any part of Jacob except for his legs. Without trying to stand back up I scampered forwards. What mattered most was reaching Jacob, something in my mind told me the whole world would make so much more sense if I could just reach him. I reached the stage where legs were hanging down. I started to pull myself up between those legs with my heart hammering harder and faster than ever before. I didn’t know what I was going to do, only that I was going to do it. My shaky knees found solid ground underneath me as I started to lift myself up. Slowly but surely, I got closer to the edge, and just as I was about to peek over the top… “Hello baby.” That wasn’t Jacob’s voice. Liam leaned forwards, completely naked. I screamed and dropped back on to my ass as I tried to scramble away from the man I was going to Prom with. I started crawling back across the hall as fast as I could scurry but when I looked over my shoulder, I could see that somehow, I wasn’t getting anywhere. “No!” I yelled, “Help! Jacob!” Liam leaned down and his hand wrapped around my wrist. He started shaking my arm and I abruptly came to with a yelp back in the store at the mall. I was sweating, my heart was beating almost painfully fast, and I could feel wetness in my diaper that had nothing to do with my perspiration. I looked around as I panted and saw mom standing over me with a frown. “Have you not been paying any attention to what I’ve been saying?” Mom asked rather crossly. “I… Sorry, I think I fell asleep…” I muttered as I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I felt shaky. “What do you think of this?” Mom asked. My mind was still elsewhere. I wasn’t looking at the dress. In fact, I was cursing myself out for what my subconscious had just done. I wasn’t even too bothered by the nightmare, what really annoyed me was that I had been seduced by such crass desires. I hated that I had been enticed like that by a man, no matter who it was, even if it was in my dream. I didn’t want to be crawling up to a man like that… “Hello? Earth to Emma?” Mom was getting impatient, “Well, if you don’t care what you’re wearing to the Prom I guess I’ll decide.” I finally started paying attention as Mom put a garishly pink dress in the basket. It was ringed with black lace frills and looked more infantile and ridiculous than anything in my closet. I stood up a little too quickly and stumbled to the side slightly. “N-No, Mom, not that one!” My eyes were wide, “W-What about… that one over there?” I pointed to the best dress of a bad bunch. It was a deep purple, had no frilly edges and looked, from a distance, almost grown up. Mom followed my gaze and pursed her lips. “You won’t entice Liam to propose with that.” Mom finally said, “Come on. This one is perfect.” As we walked to the checkout, I had to listen to mom go on and on about how important Prom was and what it might mean for me. I was just focused on how stupid I would look in the new dress. I could only imagine how horrifying it would be to be married to Liam. “I think Liam would make a great husband.” Mom said with a nod, “He’s athletic, smart, his mom tells me he’s already got his college place booked…” “I don’t want to marry him.” I said very quickly. In my mind I saw the version of him that had just haunted my dream, “Does that factor into things at all?” “You could do a lot worse.” Mom commented, “And if you want to get potty trained, you’ll need to find someone.” “I can do it myself.” I muttered, “Besides doesn’t love have anything to do with who I marry? Some sort of basic attraction? God, we haven’t even been on a date…” “You’re attracted to someone else?” Mom asked as she looked at me with piercing eyes. “I didn’t say that.” I replied. Mom paid for the dress and then we made our way towards the mall’s exit. I hung back and remained silent as I didn’t want to continue the conversation we had been having. As we approached the sliding doors leading outside, I felt a sudden cramp in my tummy. I stopped dead in my tracks and looked to the side, there were bathrooms right there by the entrance. “Mom!” I called out rather desperately. “What is it?” Mom asked as she came back to me. “I need the bathroom.” I said with a strained voice, “R-Right now!” I could already feel my bowels contracting and being pushed. I was struggling even to slow down what was happening. Mom looked up at the bathrooms and sighed, she certainly didn’t seem to be in any rush to try to get me to a toilet or even to one of the changing rooms. “The queues are pretty long.” Mom said, “I’ll change you when we get home.” “But-…” I started to complain but my body was taking over. “Go on.” Mom said impatiently. I desperately wanted to hold on. I looked over to the bathrooms and knew I would never last that long. There were so many people around and I was rapidly running out of control. Every time I thought this day couldn’t get any worse, somehow it proved me wrong. With a moan of defeat, I closed my eyes tightly. My knees bent and I spread my feet a little more. The world around me and mom continued as normal, no one cared to stop and stare at a spectacle they were all used to. As I always did in these situations, I cursed being born a girl and I cursed being born with the ambition to be more than what I was allowed to be. I heard the world walking past in both directions as my diaper bulged behind me and grew heavier. I grunted and then, after one more push, I let the breath I had been holding out. I slowly stood back up and opened my eyes. Mom had been scrolling her phone, probably checking for any messages from Dad as I humiliated myself. “Finished?” Mom said ten or so seconds later. I nodded my head. My diaper now feeling heavier than before and with a distinct stickiness in the back. I sniffed disconsolately. Mom took my hand and led me from the mall back to the car. For me the whole experience was horrible but for her it was just another day, no sooner were we out of the shopping centre than she started waxing lyrical about the Prom and beyond. She carried on as if I wasn’t dying of embarrassment, waddling along behind her and wincing at the feelings in my diaper. “This dress is absolutely darling!” Mom said as she looked into the bag she was carrying, “And Liam is such a nice young man. You could do a lot worse. Ooh, just think, if the Prom goes well you could end up marrying him and then have lots of children. You don’t realise how lucky you are!” Each of Mom’s sentences left me feeling worse than the last. I kept my face down to the ground as I waddled just behind her through the car park and out to the bus stop. Mom continued on in a similar vein, mapping out my life, a vision of domestic bliss. Meanwhile, I looked around at the people we shared the bus stop with. I saw some younger girls, probably not even yet teens, and felt bad for them. One of them looked as miserable as I felt and I wondered if she was a kindred spirit, another young lady who wished for more than the world would give her. There were also older women there, still dressed as babies despite the wrinkles appearing on their faces. When I imagined the next thirty or forty years, I thought I might throw up. I probably wasn’t helped by the smell coming from my diaper, unfortunately there was little I could do about that until we got home. It was an uncomfortable journey to say the least. I tried to stand in the aisle, but mom insisted I sit down, as my coordination meant I was likely to fall over, which meant sitting in the mess I had made. I shuddered as I sunk into it and did my best to move as little as possible. Once we were back home, mom took me straight up to my room. After sitting in a messy diaper for as long as I had I was in no mood to complain and remained silent as she cleaned me up and changed me into fresh padding. I was hoping that might be the end of it, I even went over to the closet in an attempt to pick out what I was going to wear that day before mom could do it, but she had other ideas. “Come try your new dress on!” Mom said excitedly, “It’s going to look so cute on you and we need to make sure it fits.” “Mom, can’t we…” I started. “Don’t make me call your father.” Mom said with warning. I knew what that meant. The memories of my most recent spankings were still fresh, as was the bruising on my butt. With a huff of annoyance, I walked over to mom who was hurriedly getting the dress out of the bag. I raised my arms and let mom pull the dress over the top of my head. When I turned to look in the mirror I felt a shock which stunned me in place. “It’s even better than I imagined!” Mom gushed. I could only stare in horror. I had never looked smaller than in that dress. With how much it bulged out and the frills that seemed to decorate every inch it seemed designed to draw maximum attention. It didn’t even cover my diaper properly, the skirt portion billowing so far out from my body that the white of my disposable peaked out underneath. It was hideous. “We’ll have to get some photos of you in this dress to show the family. I can’t wait for Liam to see it!” Mom said joyfully. I stared into the mirror as a tear ran down my cheek. --- I stared across the canteen darkly. Over in the far corner was Nicole. She had abandoned us to go sit with some of the boys. I had assumed they would’ve made fun of her and sent her back to us but… they didn’t. In fact, she seemed rather close with one of the boys. It was only after several minutes of unflinching staring that I was informed by Zoe that the boy she was sitting next to was her date for the prom. That revelation paled into insignificance compared with the next one though. “What!?” I exclaimed loudly enough that everyone on our table and several others looked at me. “Yeah, apparently she can change her own diapers now.” Zoe replied casually, “She said she’s doing pretty well.” “She must be a quick learner.” Jacob said. Since Jacob was new to the school Zoe started regaling him with all of the achievements of our friend. Each one just made me feel more jealous and inadequate. I saw Jacob reacting with an impressed expression to each point Zoe made and that just left me feeling even worse. Before he had asked Zoe out, I had asked Jacob why he sat with us. I wondered if he got any stick from the other guys that he chooses to sit with girls and he had just shrugged his shoulders. He said he didn’t particularly care, he found us interesting and that’s why he sat where he did. Liam on the other hand tended to spend just as long at the table as he deemed safe before sitting with the rest of the baseball team. However, now that I had rashly accepted his offer of taking me to the Prom, he was now sat at our table as if making sure no one else tried to steal me. “Personally, I wouldn’t want a girl who trains herself like that.” Liam said from my other side. He put his arm around me, and I quickly shrugged him off. He seemed undeterred, or maybe he was just ignorant to how uninterested I was “That’s a man’s job. Isn’t that right, Jacob?” “I don’t know.” Jacob shrugged, “I think girls are smart enough to know what they want. If they want to potty train, why not let them?” “You need to be careful with that attitude…” Liam said. He was sneering with disgust. “I mean, even if you think that it should be your choice. Wouldn’t you want them trained as soon as possible?” Jacob continued as he looked at Liam, “One less job for you.” Liam’s eyes had narrowed. It looked like he wasn’t exactly sure how to reply to Jacob’s ridiculously liberal idea that a woman’s ideas should be listened to and respected. He decided not to say anything though, I was glad, I could do without another debate on women’s rights between two men, I saw enough of that on television and in politics. I stared at Jacob and felt my heart skip several beats. God, why did he have to be so perfect? Men were pigs, I was still sure of that, but if that was the case then Jacob was clearly best in show. I took a bite of my half-eaten sandwich to hopefully distract people from my reddening cheeks. “Not me.” Zoe said with a giggle, “I prefer to let men decide.” “You see?” Liam was nodding his head, “Now your girl has the right idea. You let a girl choose to potty train and what happens next? They choose to get a job? They choose whether they want kids? Ridiculous.” “Is that so bad?” Jacob asked, “I mean, who knows them better than themselves, right?” “Yeah, well, they don’t know what’s best for them. That’s why we’re here to look after them.” Liam argued back. I felt like I might throw up. How on Earth was I going to prom this guy? Me, the girl known for being too independent for her own good, now attached to a guy who had the most regressive and traditional views of women imaginable. I cursed my impulsive attempt to get back at Zoe. She was still annoyed at me but at least things had thawed out enough so that we could be friends again. That was probably another reason why Nicole had abandoned us for the guys across the cafeteria, she was likely sick of being stuck in the middle for the last few days when me and Zoe were fighting. “I don’t see what the rush is.” Zoe said, “I’ve got my whole life to potty train. If it never happens, so be it.” “Ugh.” I was unable to hide my grunt of disgust at just the idea of being in diapers forever. The wet one I was sitting in had become uncomfortable to me the moment I had been taped into it. I’d already had to firmly tell Liam no when he offered to change me. I could see him practically licking his lips. Thankfully, until he was actually my husband he didn’t have any real authority over me. “What?” Zoe asked. “I just don’t think what Nicole is doing is that impressive.” I replied with a shrug, “I could change my diaper too if I was given the chance.” Liam burst into laughter next to me. The sound made my skin crawl. Jacob on the other hand smiled, it was had to tell if it was with condescension or not. Zoe, meanwhile, was smiling and shaking her head. “No, you couldn’t.” Zoe said simply. “I could.” I replied earnestly. Sure, I had never done it before, but I’d watched it happen thousands of times at this point. “Emma, if I had to rank all the girls in our class on who was most likely to learn to change themselves… you’d be at the bottom.” Zoe stated, “I’m sorry, I know it means a lot to you, but you are the least coordinated of any of us!” “I could do it right now!” I exclaimed in response. My face was getting redder. Was Zoe deliberately provoking me into doing this? “Prove it.” Zoe replied. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. My confidence delating like a balloon with a tear. “Yeah, let’s go to an empty classroom and you can change your diaper.” Zoe said. I looked around. I would’ve loved nothing more than to show Zoe and everyone else that I could change myself. There was just one problem and that was… Zoe was right. I was the least coordinated girl around, a long way behind all the other girls in our senior year and probably behind many in the lower years as well, much to my embarrassment. I couldn’t back down now though. If I concentrated hard enough then maybe I can do a semi-adequate job. It wasn’t that hard; I’d watched Mom do it so many times without problem after all. “OK.” I said. My voice quavered slightly from anxiety. Zoe quickly finished up the last few bites of her lunch and then gathered her bag. And started leading the way. Liam went to stand up, but she turned back towards him, it was clear she still resented that he hadn’t asked her to the Prom. “No boys allowed.” Zoe said with a wagging finger. Liam, whose face had been like a child on Christmas, sank back down looking like he’d just opened his present to find a lump of coal. I followed Zoe feeling supremely unconfident that I could live up to what my bravado had said. As soon as we were out of the canteen, I quickened my pace, so I was level with Zoe. “We don’t actually have to do it, right?” I said quickly, “Maybe we should forget it.” “What’s the matter?” Zoe asked with a smile, “Chicken?” “No, it’s just…” I started but I trailed off. I had nowhere to go with that sentence. I WAS scared. “Here we go.” Zoe said as we came across an empty classroom. Checking up and down the hallway to make sure we weren’t going to be seen, Zoe then opened the door and hurried inside. I followed and felt like I’d crossed through a looking glass and was seeing a whole new world. “This is one of the boy’s classrooms…” I said as I looked around in wonder. “You’ve never been in one?” Zoe asked. She had hurried over to pull three desks together, “I looked in a few times. They’re just really… boring. Not colourful like our classroom.” It didn’t seem boring at all to me. I looked around in wonder at all the things used for learning. The books on many subjects, the whiteboard currently showed a graph I couldn’t hope to understand, a globe and computer on the teacher’s desk. It was less colourful because it was more serious. This was a place for learning, for gaining the skills to make it in the world. God, how I wanted to stay in there… “OK, we can… Hey, what are you doing?” Zoe asked. I had wondered down a wall lined with books. I took in the titles like a sponge absorbing water. They were mostly just textbooks for various subjects, but they filled my mind’s imagination like a flood. I could only dream about what was inside them, I certainly didn’t have time right then to start looking. I sighed. “Come on, we can’t stay here forever.” Zoe said as she grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back to the makeshift table she had made. I looked down at the desks and then at Zoe who was watching me expectantly. “What should I…” I started. “You said you could change yourself.” Zoe said, “I want to see it. Look, I’ll even help.” Zoe took my bag from me and pulled out the spare diaper that was kept inside as well as the baby powder and wipes. I looked back at the door, there was no way to lock it though, thankfully, the only windows pointed towards the outside and they were all shrouded by blinds. “Alright…” I said. I looked around, my knees felt slightly weak. Failure here would mean more than just losing a bet with no stakes, it would prove Zoe right, that I was still as hopeless as I ever was. It felt like an exam that I had forgotten about and now I was being forced to take it with no preparation whatsoever. There had been a few times in my life where I had attempted to change myself and, to be honest, it had never gone particularly well. It usually resulted in my mom finding me, taking over and then supervising me cleaning up the mess I had made, or dad finding me and spanking my bare bottom. “You want me to do it right here?” I asked nervously, “Right now?” “If you want to back out and admit you can’t then we can ju-…” Zoe started. “No, no, no… I can!” I looked down at my waist. “Well, go on then!” Zoe said. I took a dep breath. I could do this. I’d been changed so often I could see every step in my mind. It wasn’t the order of instructions that troubled me though. It was the coordination. The familiar problem that haunted everything I tried to do. I had been sent to school in white dress with blue frills that day. I had to have Zoe help me unzip it at the back before I lifted it over my head. It felt so strange to be standing in the middle of a school classroom with only my bra, a damp diaper, and my socks and shoes on. I climbed on to the desks which wobbled a little before lying down. I took a deep breath as I reached down for the tapes of my disposable, once I did this there would be no turning back. The tapes sounded extra loud in the empty and silent classroom. When I pulled the last one away the diaper slackened, and I was able to unfold it between my legs. I took another deep breath and realised I hadn’t even been breathing during the process. Zoe handed me some baby wipes and that was where I realised this was not going to be easy. The process of cleaning myself should’ve caused no issues at all, and yet my hands found it difficult to concentrate on both gripping the wet tissues and wiping in the correct way. Zoe looked at me with a raised eyebrow. “Geez, I think an actual baby would do a better job.” Zoe commented acidly. “Shut up.” I grunted, lifting my head to try and look at what I was doing. Once I was sure I had done about as good a job as my lack of coordination would allow, I lifted my butt and pulled the diaper up. Almost immediately, it slipped from my grasp and fell to the floor. I tried to make it look like it was on purpose, but I wasn’t fooling even myself of that. “Want some help?” Zoe asked with a wry smile. “Just hand me the damn diaper.” I muttered. Once I had it back, I was free to try again. I was getting increasingly frustrated at my own inabilities. It didn’t make sense; I’d seen so many of these damn changes and yet I still couldn’t copy them. My fingers just refused to do as they were told. I managed to get the diaper up and over my private area but as I tried to pull the tapes my fingers kept slipping off them. I could see Zoe shuffling her feet, she was losing interest in watching me fail to do something I said I could manage easily. The door to the classroom opened and both Zoe and I turned our heads. I was still holding the diaper against my tummy with the tapes sticking out when a teacher walked in. He was eating an apple and when he saw us girls he stopped. I swore at myself for taking so long. This was the worst possible outcome. “What’s going on?” The teacher asked. I didn’t even know his name. “N-Nothing.” I replied stupidly. The teacher walked over to his desk and put his apple down. I tried desperately to tape myself up but, in my panic, I was even more uncoordinated. I didn’t know what to do. I had been caught red-handed doing something I knew wasn’t allowed. Zoe backed away from me as if trying to disassociate herself with the whole situation. “It doesn’t look like nothing.” The teacher said as he stood next to me. I felt incredibly vulnerable in my supine position. My face was going red, and I bit my lip as the teacher stared at me, it was like he thought if he looked hard enough, he would be able to read my mind. Finally, he turned away to look at Zoe. “She said she could change her own diaper!” Zoe quickly spilled the beans, “I was just watching!” “Wow…” I muttered under my breath, “Thanks, Zoe.” There wasn’t any other rational explanation. I knew that. But it would’ve been nice if Zoe tried even a little bit to cover for me. Unfortunately, we were told that lying is wrong and that good girls would never do it, and Zoe was nothing if not a good girl. “Is that right?” The teacher asked. He looked down to my failed efforts and his face twisted into a thin-mouthed smirk, “And how has that been going? Can she do it?” “No!” Zoe didn’t hesitate in her emphatic reply. “I… I could!” I argued, “I just need some practice…” The teacher shook his head and then reached down to grab my wrist. I yelped and tried to pull away, but he was much too strong, in no time at all he had pulled me off the desk. The diaper fell away leaving my bottom half uncovered as I stumbled forwards. Already tears were springing from my eyes as I pleaded with the teacher to let me go. I hated that I was begging. “Please!” I said with a sob escaping my mouth, “I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” “You will be.” The teacher replied grimly. I tried unsuccessfully to pull away as I was pulled to the teacher’s desk. I was pulled forwards until my hips hit the wood and I was bent over the edge. My hands went sprawling in front of me and I ended up knocking some paperwork on to the floor. That seemed to annoy the teacher anymore and he exclaimed at the mess I had made. “It wasn’t my fault!” I cried, “Y-You pushed me!” The teacher didn’t care. In his opinion, I had forced him to do this because I had misbehaved, I had committed the cardinal sin of trying to change my own diaper. I was still wondering why it was such a big deal when I felt a spank land on my bare butt. I squealed and gasped as my legs kicked out. I wanted to get away but I was held in place. The tears started to come faster and heavier now, my head looked to the side and through my watery vision I could see Zoe watching with a hand covering her mouth. I could already feel my ass stinging after just a single smack. The second, third, fourth and fifth only made it worse. I felt sure I was going to bruise. I beat the desk with my hands and cried uncontrollably, snot running down my face as I thrashed my head from side to side. As far as I could tell Zoe was just watching, the humiliation was as bad as the pain. I thrashed and lost control of my body. I felt urine leaking out of me and down my legs. I heard it dripping down to the floor between my legs and even hitting the desk next to me. I tried to tell the teacher what was happening, to say I was sorry and couldn’t stop it, but I couldn’t get the words out. The only things that came out of my mouth were spit and sobs. “Oh, for Heaven’s sake…” The teacher said. He must’ve noticed the growing puddle between my legs. A bell rang and I felt the spanking abruptly finish. A second later the door to the classroom opened. I gasped. Boys were coming in and seeing me mooning them with a butt that had just been tanned red. I heard catcalls and laughter. Still bent over the desk, I didn’t want to get up. I didn’t want to show my face to these guys. The male students I was so desperate to be equal to was seeing me in the worst possible light. “Get out of here.” The teacher said, “And tell the reception to send a janitor here to clean up your mess.” I slowly lifted myself up. I must’ve looked like a complete mess. My face was red and puffy, there were tear streaks down my cheeks and my hair was all over the place. I could see it all in the window in front of me. My dress came down and gave me a little modesty. I looked around as I shook and felt unsure of what to do. I couldn’t see Zoe, but I did see a lot of male faces staring at me. Some smirked, one or two winked and blew kisses, but for the most part they weren’t reacting much. It almost felt worse, it was as If this was all that was expected of girls like me. “If you don’t get a move on, I’ll give you detention.” The teacher said as he put his hand on my back and gave me a little push towards the door, “And you can meet my ruler.” I saw the teacher pointing to his desk where a large wooden ruler sat. I shuddered. I didn’t need any more motivation and hurried left the room despite the horrible feeling of wetness running down my legs and my very saw butt. My hands went down to my backside as soon as the door closed, and I looked around for Zoe. She wasn’t there. Of course, Zoe would’ve hurried along to our classroom. I couldn’t help but feel as if she had abandoned me. With everything that had happened recently regarding our dates for the prom I couldn’t help but wonder if the whole thing had been deliberate. I shook my head, no matter how mad Zoe was with me I was sure she would never have done something so cruel. Without waiting around any longer and getting myself in more trouble, I turned towards the reception. I needed to get the janitor for the mess I had left behind, I needed a new diaper from the nurse, and I would need a change of clothes… again. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. All around me classmates were nurturing their dolls whilst the disinterested teacher walked amongst them giving tips. I saw some cuddling them, practicing feeding and even changing the doll’s diapers. No one was being too successful, these girls couldn’t change their own diaper yet alone someone else’s. I found the whole thing gross. I didn’t want children, and the doll was far too lifelike for my taste, it was downright creepy, firmly in the uncanny valley realm. I placed it on the table and reached back to rub my butt. Once I had got home the previous day, I had quickly discovered the school had called ahead and I was met with a big spanking that left me feeling sore… again. “These are so cool, aren’t they?” Zoe said from across the table, “They feel so… real!” “Yeah.” I replied unenthusiastically, “Great.” “They’re cute!” Zoe continued. I didn’t see any cuteness. I saw something very ugly that felt to me like a ball and chain that would be attached to me. I didn’t want to be anywhere near it. We had been encouraged to give the dolls names and bond with them. I refused. “Where’s Nicole?” I asked Zoe. “No idea.” Zoe replied. She was brushing her dolls hair. This was my least favourite subject in class, and it was up against some tough competition. We were being prepared to be breeders. Just incubation units being taught to look after the next generation and carry on the cycle. I wanted no part of it. “Come on, Emma.” Mr. Smith said behind me, “You need to practice all this.” “Why?” I asked as I folded my arms across my chest. “For when you have a few of your own.” Mr. Smith was smiling. He was aware of my opinions, but I couldn’t be too belligerent or I’d end up over his knee. “No thanks.” I muttered. “Well, if you fail the year you’ll be coming back for summer school.” Mr. Smith said as he sat himself on the edge of the table, “And I’m sure you’d LOVE that.” I shuddered slightly and gingerly picked the doll up again. There were no exams in the girls’ class. We were simply assessed by the teacher and if he decided we needed to be held back he would keep us. I didn’t believe he would actually make me come in during the summer because he was just as keen not to be there as I was. I didn’t want to test that theory though so I would have to go through the motions. “I know you think you’re better than all this.” Mr. Smith said as he leaned in and spoke a little quieter, “But until you can prove you deserve to be elsewhere, you’ll stay with us.” I didn’t need reminding. In my opinion, I was the most grown-up girl in the class, but I was also the clumsiest. If I could only have better coordination, I would be so much better off, but the clock was ticking, the school year was approaching it’s end and what felt like a deadline was approaching. It wasn’t going to be long before I “graduated” which, for me, would mean being little more than a maid for the family before I was married off to be a maid for some guy. Mr. Smith stood up and started to walk away. “Sir…” I called out. The teacher turned around, “Do you know where Nicole is?” “I do.” Mr. Smith’s mouth twitched, and the corners lifted into a smile, “She’s currently being assessed.” “Assessed?” I repeated. “To be moved into the boy’s classes.” Mr. Smith clarified. He walked away to the front of the class. My mouth was hanging open. I knew she had been doing well but not THAT well. My jealousy towards Nicole skyrocketed. We had hardly even seen her the last few days since she was spending more and more time with the boys. Now it seemed like she had left us behind completely. I felt like I was stuck at the bottom of the well and Nicole had clambered out and pulled the rope up behind her. I was lefty stranded at the bottom waving my hands and shouting for help. “Better her than me.” Zoe said as she pushed the nipple of an empty bottle past the lifeless lips of the doll. “You really wouldn’t want to be doing something… ANYTHING else?” I asked. “Why would I want to work?” Zoe asked with a laugh. “To earn money? Be independent?” My own words depressed me because I knew I wasn’t going to get those things either. “Why would I want those things?” Zoe frowned at me as if I was being stupid. I didn’t bother replying. Arguing to a girl like Zoe why she should want more out of life than to be a slave for a man was like arguing with a brick wall. I just went back to listlessly handling my doll without really doing anything in particular to take care of it. When the bell rang it wasn’t too soon. I stood up quickly and felt my diaper droop down underneath my dress. I expected it could last till I got home; I hoped so at least, I didn’t want to turn up at home having leaked yet again. Dad was already threatening me with even thicker diapers. I didn’t know if such things even existed but I wasn’t keen on pressing my luck. I hurried out of the room with Zoe struggling to keep up. On the way to the busses Liam, my regrettable date for the prom, fell into step next to me. He tried to put his arm around my shoulders, but I shrugged him off. He laughed. “Hey, baby.” Liam said, “I hear you’ve got a dress for our big night.” “What? How?” I asked. My surprise at his knowledge stopping me from complaining about his pet name, something I saw as derogatory. “Your mom told my mom.” Liam replied. I let out a snort of annoyance. There were a lot of things wrong with going to the prom with Liam and one of them was that our mothers were friends. They apparently had no problem sharing all the news between us to each other. It was very frustrating when I just wanted to forget the whole thing. “Maybe I could come over and you could give me a preview…” Liam smirked at me. I think he thought it was an enticing proposition. It made my skin crawl. “Maybe not.” I replied. I took a step to the side to try and put some space between us. “Saving yourself for the big night, eh?” Liam nodded, “I never took you to be a traditionalist.” The thought of giving myself up to Liam was enough to make me queasy. It wasn’t that he was bad looking or even particularly misogynist compared to most other men, I just didn’t want to be with any man. Well, there was maybe one guy I could think of who caused my iron-like resolution to slip… “Well, maybe it’s for the best.” Liam said, “I have baseball practice. Don’t worry, baby, I’m sure we can find the time at some point.” I ignored Liam and quickened my pace as much as I could with the thick padding between my legs. Thankfully, he had to turn down a different corridor and I ignored his shouts of farewell. I needed to get to the bus; I wanted to get home for many reasons but among them was just how wet I was. If I was honest, I should’ve requested a trip to the nurse a while ago but I thought I could make it, something I was becoming less sure of by the minute. I pushed through the front doors of the building and saw the school busses nearby. “Hey.” I stopped. At the top of the steps leading to the road I nearly tripped over my own feet and went stumbling down to the bottom, I actually felt a flicker of pride that I hadn’t fallen over. When I had my bearings again, I turned to see Jacob leaning against the wall. I ran through a gamut of emotions and was completely unsure of how to react to the handsome man who had stolen my attention. His easy smile and friendly eyes were a lot more welcome when turned upon me than Liam’s. “Hello.” I replied. I tried to act like I didn’t care that we were talking. I don’t know if it worked. “How are you?” Jacob asked. He smiled and I felt tingles running down my body. Why was such a simple question enough to make my heart melt? I desperately didn’t want to be falling for some guy, I didn’t want to be like the other girls who threw themselves at a man and became their indentured servants. My father had always said girls couldn’t help it, that it was their nature. They were born with genes that made them seek out a man who could look after them. I had always scoffed and been horrified at the very idea, now I was worried that dad had been telling the truth all along. “I’m fine.” I shrugged. I should’ve been running for the bus, but I wasn’t. I was standing in front of Jacob when I could’ve just left. The bus was right behind me, but I was standing there and choosing to talk to a guy instead of getting home. “Have you seen your boyfriend?” Jacob asked as he checked his watch. “Boyfriend?” I repeated with a tone of disgust. “Liam.” Jacob smiled again and I felt myself becoming enthralled. I looked away. I told myself to keep it together. This was just some weird hormone thing. I was determined to not be with any guy regardless of how handsome they were, or how much their smile made me melt, or how they seemed to haunt my dreams and thoughts… “Emma?” Jacob said after a little bit. I realised that I had been staring at the ground for a little too long. “He’s got baseball practice.” I quickly said. “Oh, that was today, was it?” Jacob replied with a little snort of a laugh, “Oh well.” I turned to head to the bus; the engines had been switched on and they would be leaving soon. I had barely made it two steps when I heard Jacob’s voice again. “Do you want a lift home?” Jacob asked. My heart rate picked up and I felt a strange warming all through my nerves. I hadn’t even known Jacob had a driving license let alone a car. I shouldn’t have been surprised; driving was a rite of passage for most guys as they became men. “I, erm…” I was surprised at myself for not turning Jacob down immediately, “I shouldn’t.” “Why not?” Jacob asked. He had pushed himself off the wall and was now walking up alongside me. “Well, the bus is right there and…” I started. “You’d rather take the bus then catch a lift?” Jacob said. I felt like an animal that had been cornered. It wasn’t that I thought Jacob was dangerous, at least physically, he did seem to be attacking everything I thought I knew about myself and my desire for independence. I shrugged my shoulders and hurried along towards the bus. Jacob kept up with me. “Are you sure?” Jacob asked. I stopped in my tracks. We were right next to the busses now. I knew it would be leaving in a few minutes so the rush to get on wasn’t too great. That said, I knew Zoe was on board, if she saw me talking to her date and then going off with him, she would be less than happy. “I’m sure.” I replied. “Well, I was just thinking we cou-…” Jacob started. I had turned to get on the bus but now I spun back around to face him. I was getting annoyed, not at his persistence but the fact that my resolve wasn’t the strongest already and I was worried that if he kept talking to me, I would allow my brain to be overruled by whatever part of me found this man dangerously attractive. The look on my face stopped him mid-sentence. “What?” Jacob asked. “If you are so interested in talking to me, why did you ask Zoe to the Prom?” I asked in annoyance. “Because you turned me down.” Jacob said with a small smile and a shrug, “Twice, if I remember correctly.” Jacob was right, of course. He had asked me to the Prom, and I had declined because I didn’t want anything to do with any guy. It was only after I found out he had asked Zoe that I had second thoughts. I pursed my lips. Maybe it was for the best. I didn’t want any guy to tie me down and even if Jacob was more handsome than most, he would surely have still done that. I’d be left at home cooking and cleaning for him, it sounded like hell. Of course, I was used to being asked on dates and I certainly hadn’t expected to feel jealous of Zoe when she announced she was going with Jacob. The whole thing was my stupid fault. For a few long seconds I stood in front of Jacob, neither of us saying anything. I thought I saw some regret on his face. I wondered why. Perhaps he was wishing he had been more persistent with me. I didn’t think it was unfair to say he didn’t feel any particular connection to Zoe after all. I looked down at the ground and then heard the bus’s engine rumble to life. “You’d better get on.” Jacob said as he nodded to the bus, “If you missed the bus how would you ever get home?” I looked up and saw that Jacob had a knowing smile. Was I reading too much into what he said or was he basically daring me to miss the bus and therefore have to accept his offer of a lift. It was a tempting proposition. I would’ve found it a lot harder to rationalise declining him if I had no alternative. I turned to the bus and saw, through a window, Zoe staring out at us. I felt a small jolt. “Goodbye.” I said quickly and stepped on to the bus. As I walked down the aisle the doors closed and a second later the bus started rolling away from the curb. I looked out the window at Jacob as we rolled past. With a deep sigh I reached Zoe’s seat and dropped into it. “What were you two talking about?” Zoe asked immediately. “Nothing.” I replied as I leaned back in my seat and felt my diaper press against my inner thighs. “It didn’t look like nothing.” Zoe said. “He was just offering me a lift home.” I said. I was facing the ceiling with my eyes closed. I let my head roll to the side and my eyes opened. Zoe lips seemed pressed together and she looked tense. For a minute nothing was said, that was fine with me, I just wanted to get home as soon as possible. “He didn’t offer me a lift home…” Zoe muttered after a little while as she turned to look out the window. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. It was Friday and that meant it was family game night. It wasn’t something I was a particularly big fan of, but it wasn’t optional. It was a family tradition that had been going on for as long as I could remember. It was one of the few times in a week where dad would interact with the rest of us without something else competing for his time and attention. Every Friday night one of us would get to pick a game and spend some quality time together. It was usually dad or Ollie that got to pick. I always tried to suggest we play something exciting, like a role-playing game where we could imagine ourselves in some fantasy setting, they always suggested something a lot more dull. As usual, we were now taking it in turns to roll the dice and move little tokens around the board. I picked up the dice and sent them scattering across the game. I moved my token the number of spaces it showed. Fun. My mind was elsewhere. It often was these days. I had a lot to think about, such as Nicole who was rapidly outgrowing the rest of us girls and Jacob who never seemed to be far from my mind even if I would have preferred that he was. “So, kids, how’s school?” Dad asked. “Fine.” Ollie replied, “I got an A on my English paper.” “That’s my boy.” Dad said proudly as he ruffled Ollie’s hair, “And how about training?” “Coach says I might have a chance at a scholarship.” Ollie smiled, “Apparently we’ve been getting some big-time scouts at our games.” “Fantastic!” Dad replied, “The whole world’s your oyster, son. You can be and do whatever you set your mind too.” “What about you, Emma?” Mom asked. She was sitting opposite me in her apron. She’d already cooked dinner so I wasn’t sure why she still felt the need to wear it. “Oh, you know, same as usual…” I muttered. What more could I say? Was I supposed to proudly tell my family how I was learning to look after a little brat or becoming a better cook? Because I didn’t consider those things to be proud of. I wanted to have the same things to tell my parents as Ollie, I wanted to excel. My mind turned back to Nicole who was very likely to be getting that opportunity to lift herself out of the humdrum future that awaited the rest of us. “And how are things with Liam?” Dad asked gruffly, “I spoke to his Dad a couple of days ago. Liam seems like a good man; you could do a lot worse.” “I could do a lot better.” I replied before I could stop myself. Dad never liked what he called my “smart mouth”, it often got me into trouble. “He’s a good man.” Dad repeated with a tone that suggested I wasn’t to argue, “He’s got a good future ahead of him. He’ll be able to take care of you.” The conversation moved on as people took their turns with the game. Of course, no one actually cared about what I was doing in school. They all knew it was a waste of time, the only thing my parents had an interest in was me getting married and off their hands. To be a good little housewife. More than anything, that was why I envied Nicole. “You know, Nicole might be moving into classes with the boys.” I said. “Really?” Mom shook her head, “I don’t agree with it. A woman’s place is in the home.” “Couldn’t agree more.” Dad said, “Women and the workplace just don’t mix.” I was disgusted yet unsurprised by my parents’ attitude. It was at times like this that it was hard not to see my mom as a traitor to both me and women in general. Maybe she WAS happy as a housewife, but that didn’t mean it was the only thing a woman could be. “You know, I think I could have a chance in getting into the boys’ classes too…” I said as I rolled the dice again and moved my token, “If I was given a chance.” I looked up from the board to see my parents looking at each other with faint amusement. I pursed my lips in annoyance. These were the people supposed to be supporting me and, instead, they were my biggest obstacles. I could only imagine where I might’ve been had they encouraged me to potty train and otherwise develop, rather than keeping me in place and frowning on any attempt to better myself. Maybe I would still be the super clumsy girl tripping over her feet or maybe not, the point was that I would never know because they didn’t support me. “You could’ve tried potty training me…” I muttered, “Given me a chance, at least.” Again, my parents glanced at each other but said nothing. I pursed my lips. They could be utterly infuriating. I knew it was usually the husband that helps his wife potty train but I wasn’t going to marry and subject myself to a life of servitude, so they could’ve helped me, it wasn’t THAT unusual to have at least some potty training done at home. Even Zoe, who seemed to have no ambition at all, had told me that her parents had offered her the opportunity for some rudimentary potty training. It was beyond aggravating that my parents didn’t even take what I said seriously. When it was my next turn, I rolled the dice a little too hard and knocked down my brother’s token before the two dice fell off the table on to the floor. “Hey!” Ollie complained, “She did that on purpose!” “I didn’t!” I countered equally loudly. “Now, Ollie, you know your sister doesn’t have the coordination to aim like that.” Dad said sincerely. That only annoyed me even more. I hadn’t meant to hit Ollie’s piece, but I HAD meant to throw the dice as hard as I did. Dad picked them up and handed them back to me with a warning look. I rolled my eyes and dropped the dice on to the middle of the board before moving. I’d actually rolled enough to catch up and overtake my brother. “Emma’s cheating!” Ollie suddenly exclaimed. “Huh?” I frowned, “I rolled a five and I moved five.” “You moved six!” Ollie accused. “No, look…” I went back to my space and started moving my token forwards one space at a time, “One, two, three…” “You started on this one.” Ollie pointed to the square before the one I started counting from. “No, I didn’t.” I frowned, “I was here.” Ollie and I started to talk over each other as we argued. I didn’t really care about the stupid game, but I DID care about being cheated. We carried on for fifteen seconds or so before dad cleared his throat loudly. “Ollie’s right. You started back there.” Dad said as he tapped the space Ollie had been saying. “I didn’t!” I complained. I looked at mom and it seemed like she agreed with me but didn’t say anything. “And for trying to cheat I think you’ll only get one die for the next five turns.” Dad continued. My hands balled up and my teeth clenched. Tears started filling my eyes. I didn’t deal with injustice well and I certainly felt like I was being targeted right then. I watched as dad moved my token back and then skipped my turn. I wasn’t allowed to get ahead, not even in a board game. “Get us some drinks, would you?” Dad said to mom as he picked up the dice. Mom started to get up immediately. Like a robot that had just had new instructions inputted she was getting ready to hurry off and do as she was told. To everyone’s surprise, Ollie stood up too. “I’ll get them.” Ollie said. Before anything else could be said he was walking off towards the kitchen. We all watched him go in shock. I think it was the closest any of us had seen to him doing a chore. Mom looked confused, maybe even worried, that she wasn’t doing the task. “How thoughtful.” Dad said with a little nod of appreciation. I noted that was more than I got when I was told to do something for dad. We continued playing up until Ollie’s next turn. He returned with drinks for all of us. A beer for dad, a soda for himself, and two baby bottles filled with juice for me and mom. I took mine without saying thanks and started drinking. I hated using the bottles but complaining was pointless and just likely to end up with me having a sore butt. “Whose turn is it?” Ollie asked. “Yours.” Dad replied. Ollie rolled the dice and continued the game. I hadn’t realised how thirsty I had been and ended up drinking the whole bottle very quickly. The game continued and it never got very exciting. Half an hour later we were getting near to the end with Ollie and dad far ahead of me and mom. I was just looking forward to the whole thing being over so I could try to get some time on the computer or… There was a rumble deep in my belly. I thought little of it except to lament that I was likely to have messy diaper before bedtime. When it was my next turn to roll the dice though, I felt another rumble that started in my upper belly and then descended south through my digestive system. It was loud enough for the rest of my family to hear, and I put a hand over my tummy. I rolled the dice and moved my piece, not that it mattered since I wasn’t going to be allowed to overtake anyone, then felt another rumble which came with the feeling that something was shifting inside me. What was coming seemed increasingly like it was going to happen sooner rather than later, my limited ability to stop or slow down accidents would do nothing to help me. I looked up and saw my brother watching me. His smirk told me all I needed to know. “You…” I started before I was forced to stop by a pain in my tummy. “What was that?” Dad asked as he looked up from the board. I desperately didn’t want to fill my diaper at the table with everyone watching me. The choice was made for me before I could even think about it though. Another rumble turned into a cramp and a massive increase in pressure. A second later I could feel my bowels starting to empty. With a hopeless moan I tilted sideways to give my diaper more room and very quickly felt a semi-solid avalanche filling the back of the disposable up, the warm mush spreading out against my skin and the padding. I held my breath and pushed. I tried not to make it too obvious what was going on, but little soft exhalations escaped my mouth, and I was making a face my family knew only too well. I blushed furiously as the first hint of the smell in my diaper started escaping into the air around me. It was soon over, my bowels apparently emptying everything they had. I slowly sat back down, closing my eyes as I felt the poop get squashed between my body and the chair beneath me. I felt the poop oozing as I settled into it. “Ready for potty training, huh?” Ollie teased. He leaned in closer to me and whispered, “Want another bottle?” As my parents started chuckling, I felt tears prick my eyes. I jumped to my feet, my sticky diaper remaining stuck to my butt like adhesive. I pointed at Ollie angrily. “This is his fault!” I exclaimed, “He put something in my drink!” “Woah, calm yourself down, Emma.” Dad said with warning. I was too angry to listen. “I didn’t do anything.” Ollie stated calmly. His words said something but his expression when he turned to look at me said quite another. “Sit down, baby.” Mom said soothingly. “I’m not a baby!” I yelled. Everything seemed to go into slow motion. I could see my mom’s face looking anxious whilst my dad looked annoyed that I was making fuss. Ollie, meanwhile, was leaned back in his seat and enjoying the chaos he had caused. My anger had taken control of me. I couldn’t hold myself back. Leaning forwards, I grabbed the edge of the table that the board game was sitting on. I could see my family’s expressions changing as I started to lift, I couldn’t have stopped myself even if I wanted to. And I didn’t want to. Everything returned to normal speed as I flipped the table. The board, all the pieces, drinks and everything else started to go flying. Dad pushed his chair back rapidly to avoid being hit. Mom shrieked like an old-fashioned cartoon woman seeing a mouse, and Ollie barely moved. He had lit the match and was now enjoying the fireworks. Everything clattered to the floor. The table landed with a bang, and I was left standing in front of it, looking around at shocked faces. Very quickly, the anger faded away and only left me with the sinking feeling of what was inevitably going to come next. Dad’s face quickly contorted into fury. I went to run away but Ollie stuck out a foot. I tripped almost immediately and went stumbling forwards until my centre of gravity caused me to topple over. I landed on my front, thankfully not making the disaster in my diaper too much worse. I quickly looked around at Ollie with a glare. “Get over here right now.” Dad said in harsh tones. “Need some help, sis?” Ollie asked with a smirk. I was about to say no when my brother reached down with both his hands and grabbed my wrists. He pulled me up so that I was back on my feet again. I knew I wasn’t big, but Ollie’s strength surprised me. I glared at him. My frustration wanting me to hit him. He normally stayed as an observer; I didn’t like that he was now getting the authority over me to take part in what was clearly about to be a punishment. My brother let go of my arm and, whilst I considered running away again, I bowed my head and sighed. This was a game that had been played countless times as I grew up. I did something to get in trouble, usually thanks to Ollie’s poking, then I ran away and made things worse for myself. This time I was going to cut out the middleman. I walked around the seats to where my father sat. As soon as I was in range, he pulled me down over his lap. The fact my diaper was stinky didn’t seem to have any effect on him. With the rest of the family watching, I braced myself. My legs hung in the air behind me, and I covered my face with my hands. I knew I was going to cry, and I hated crying. The anticipation was always the worst. Dad liked to let me think about what was about to happen. Without warning dad’s hand was flung into the back of my diaper. The padding crashed against my skin squashing the mess inside and sending it all over the disposable. I squealed in pain. The padding could only do so much to cushion the blow. It wasn’t the pain that made me cry, it was never the pain. No, what really made me cry when I was being punished like this was the humiliation and the unfairness of it all. I wanted to be a fully developed adult. I wanted to be treated as an equal of the men, I was desperate to be respected and valued. Yet I just couldn’t do it. My body betrayed me, and my emotions were always out of control. I knew I would’ve been so much happier if I was at either end of the spectrum. Either a “nice little girl” who only lived to serve men and glowed with pride when she was a good girl, or a woman with fully developed motor skills who could look after herself and get a job. Instead, I was trapped in the middle. Neither happy with my lot in life whilst also completely unable to improve things. Cursed to want something it felt like I would never get whilst never being happy with what seemed to be my destiny. All of that, more than the pain of the spanking which continued for a couple of minutes, was the reason why I was blubbering. It was why when I was allowed to stand back up, I had tears and snot running down my face. “Get her changed and put her to bed.” Dad instructed mom. “Come on, baby.” Mom said as she quickly stood up. When mom took my hand, it was a lot gentler than either of the men had been. I didn’t resist. I just sobbed and moved my spare hand back over by sore butt as I was led to the stairs and up to my nursery. Another family game night ended with me waddling away with a red butt. It seemed more often than not that was how they went. “And you’re grounded!” Dad yelled as I was taken out of the room, “Until further notice.” --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. Elfy Posted August 6 Author Posted August 6 Emma finds out a babysitter has been hired, which is bad enough, but when she finds out who the babysitter is, it makes it so much worse. --- I'm only able to write as much as I do thanks to the amazing support of my readers. All support is very gratefully accepted ❤️ https://reamstories.com/elfy https://subscribestar.adult/elfy --- “What do you mean you hired a babysitter!?” I exclaimed as my diaper was changed. “You’re still grounded so you can’t come with us.” Mom replied as she wiped my crotch clean, “And we can’t just leave you home alone.” “Yes! You can!” I whined, “I’m eighteen!” Mom pulled the soaked overnight diaper out from underneath me. It was folded up and taped closed before being dropped into the diaper pail. Everything was so unfair. Outside my nursery I could hear the sounds of people getting ready to go out to the beach. Honestly, I was initially glad not to be going. The last thing I wanted was my family to make a fuss over my swim diaper and one-piece bathing suit. However, when I heard the alternative was that I was going to be babysat at home I found it hard to work out which fate was worse. “Can you tell me who it is at least?” I asked. I felt my blood freeze momentarily, “It’s not Liam, is it?” “No, Liam was busy.” Mom replied. She shot me a disapproving look. Clearly, she didn’t like the tone I was taking when talking about my date for the Prom and, potentially, my future husband. That was one bullet dodged at least. I lifted up my hips as a fresh disposable was slipped underneath me. When I lowered back down it was on to the soft cotton of fresh padding. The front was lifted up and taped closed. I sat up as soon as mom stepped away to get my clothes. “Is it Aunty Marge?” I asked rather hopefully. I liked Marge about as much as I could like any woman stuck in this system. She certainly wasn’t subversive, but she did allow me a little more slack than most other people. Once, she’d even let me watch a horror film my parents had forbidden. “No.” Mom replied as she looked through the outfits, “It’s someone from school.” “Great…” I muttered. At least a student from school would be doing this for the pay, I could probably count on being left alone most of the time. Mom selected a pink onesie for me to wear, one with a frilly almost tutu-like skirt around the waist. It was one of my least liked outfits and it was beating out some stiff competition. Nonetheless, I let mom put it on me. Usually, if I argued about what I was going to wear, it would be decided that I would wear nothing over my diaper at all. Even this onesie was better than being almost completely naked. As the poppers were being pressed together between my legs, I heard the doorbell go. That was going to be whoever had been hired to look after me. I heard Dad answer the door and whoever it was be let in as my pacifier was slipped to the front of the onesie. The amber bulb was popped in my mouth. “Alright, off you go downstairs.” Mom said, “I have to get ready to go out. You know what your father is like if we make him wait.” Mom hurried out of the room. She was worried about being spanked. It made sense, just because she had been potty trained and had all of her coordination it didn’t mean she was in any way dad’s equal. It was well-drilled into all boys and girls that it was the husband’s job, nay duty, to discipline the women in their family. It was commonly thought that if you let them have an inch of slack then they would take a mile. I crinkled out of my nursery and down the hallway. I tried to listen out for any clues as to who was looking after me but all I heard was some deep voices and then my dad’s deep rumbling laughter. I was in no rush to go downstairs but soon I was at the door to the living room, where the voices were coming from. I bit down on my pacifier as I pushed it open. Almost immediately I gasped and ducked to the side of the door pressing myself against the wall as my heart hammered. “Emma?” Dad’s voice called out authoritatively. I heard him lower his voice to speak the babysitter, “What on Earth has gotten into that girl?” I put a hand up to my forehead. I had only glanced into the living room for a few moments, but I knew I wasn’t mistaken in what, or rather who, I saw. “I think she was just surprised to see me.” Jacob said. Surprised was one of the things I felt. Along with anxiety, frustration, and that weird butterfly feeling that always seemed to start when I was near Jacob. I tried to get my breathing under control. It was just a guy, same as any other. Only this one I had undeniable feelings for. I was sucking on my pacifier for some relief like a nicotine addict might puff on a cigarette. “Emma! Get your butt in here.” Dad ordered. I took a deep breath and kept my eyes on the floor as I pushed myself off the wall. Once again, I faced the doorway and this time I stepped through it. When I glanced up, I saw Jacob standing up in front of the couch. He was smiling that perfect smile, and I had to force myself to look away. “Hi, Emma.” Jacob said I didn’t say anything. I was flooded with emotions. Jacob was in my house and couldn’t work out whether I was happy with that or not. Dad chuckled and said something about me being shy. Jacob sat back down, and I walked over to sit at the other end of the couch, I was practically pushing myself against the arm of seat to maintain as much separation as possible. “So, you two know each other then?” Dad asked. “Yeah, we’re friends at school.” Jacob replied easily. “Friends” seemed like a bit of a stretch. We hadn’t even really talked to each other that much. I didn’t object though. I could see that Dad didn’t approve of Jacob’s choice of words. I had to smile, Dad seemed to think every time an unattached boy and girl interacted there was a chance the world could explode. “Friends?” Dad frowned. After a couple of seconds, he shook his head with a little laugh, “Kids these days. Back in my day if a guy was friends with a girl… Well, let’s just say it wasn’t something you wanted.” “I’ve heard all about that from my dad.” Jacob replied easily, “Honestly, and I mean no offence Mr. Crouch, but times have changed, a little bit at least.” “Yeah, well…” Dad shifted in his seat. My dad wasn’t used to being disagreed with, “When you grow up a little, you’ll see there is a reason we have our customs and traditions.” The air had become thick with tension. I couldn’t help feeling a smile tugging at the corner of my lips. My Dad was so unused to being disagreed with that it was clear he wasn’t sure what to do. He didn’t like his views and opinions being pushed back on. Any time I did it I would get a spanking, but Jacob was younger and fitter, there was nothing Dad could do even if he wanted to. It wasn’t long until mom was hurrying downstairs. I looked up as she walked into the living room. She may not have been diapered but she certainly still looked like a kid with the way she was dressed. A skirt that went down to her knees, colourful socks that went all the way up from her ankles to bottom of her clothes and a pink blouse with red hearts all over. On the front was a pacifier, similar to mine. Whilst her hair had been parted into two pigtails. It didn’t suit her, then again, I didn’t think that look would suit anyone over the age of four. She looked like one of the dolls on the shelves in my nursery that I hadn’t been allowed to throw out no matter how much I wanted to. “You look wonderful.” Dad said as he rose to his feet. “Thank you.” Mom replied. The praise made her face light up. “Right, well, Jacob…” Dad turned to my babysitter who stood up off the couch, “You’ve got our phone number if you need anything. Don’t be afraid to discipline her if she needs it, she can be a brat sometimes and needs to be reminded to keep in line.” “I’m sure that won’t be necessary.” Jacob replied confidently, “She’s only ever been as good as gold when I’ve been with her.” I started blushing furiously. Normally I was angry when people talked about me like that, so why did I feel a little leap in my chest when Jacob did it? I looked up and saw Dad looking from me to Jacob and back again. I thought he might actually be having second thoughts about leaving me with him. It was obvious Jacob was much more liberal than he was, and he was afraid I might get “ideas.” “Well, take care.” Dad said, “Oh, and don’t worry about Ollie, he’s at a friend’s house.” I watched Dad and Jacob shake hands. It was strangely tense, and they seemed to remain connected a little longer than was normal. Then Dad let go and made his way into the hallway. Mom gave me a peck on the cheek and told me to be good and followed him. The front door opened and closed leaving me alone with Jacob. “I think your dad was trying to break my hand.” Jacob said with a chuckle as he shook it in the air. “He can be like that.” I replied. “Yeah, I don’t think he likes me.” Jacob said. He didn’t seem too bothered by that fact. “Probably because you didn’t start spanking me on sight.” I replied only half-jokingly. I fiddled with my fingers. I wasn’t sure what to do. Part of me wanted to run back up to my room and stay there until my family came home, the other half wanted to be as close to Jacob as possible. It was very confusing, I so rarely wanted to spend any time with people who weren’t my immediate friends, even they grated on me sometimes. “So… what do you want to do?” Jacob asked as he sat down on the couch. I felt a momentary flash of panic and it took me a second to work out why that reaction had occurred. I was being asked to make a choice by a man, I couldn’t remember the last time that had happened. In fact, it was possible it had never happened at all. Not any serious choice at least, one where what I said would matter. I shrugged. “We can just sit down and talk, if you like?” Jacob suggested as he sat back on the couch. I nodded my head. That felt almost like a grown-up thing to be doing, not something any other babysitter had given me the option of before. I sat down at the other end of the couch wishing my diaper wasn’t quite as large as it was. At least I had been changed just before Jacob arrived. “This is a nice place.” Jacob said, “Have you lived here long?” “My whole life.” I replied. I was still trying my best to keep my distance. I couldn’t deny how I felt about Jacob, but it did me no good to think about it. He was taken and so was I. Besides, he may have been the kindest man I’d ever met, but he was still a man. At the end of the day, I couldn’t trust that he wanted anything more than a domestic servant. “Cool.” Jacob said, “My family moved here from the city. Dad wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle a little after he sold his business.” I didn’t reply. I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to say. I hadn’t had a lot of practice having conversations and found it difficult to do so even when I wanted to. Fortunately, it seemed Jacob either didn’t mind my lack of response or didn’t notice how self-conscious I was. “So, what do you normally do on a lovely day such as this?” Jacob asked casually. “Not a lot.” I replied, “Some homework maybe, then I just try to stay out of the way.” “You get homework?” Jacob seemed genuinely surprised. I scowled but again remained silent. Yes, I got homework, if you could call writing out the alphabet “work”, I mean, I could read, I obviously knew how it went but my motor skills still made it tricky. As I brooded over my thoughts, I felt my diaper warming, it wasn’t a surprise but it was annoying. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to hit a nerve.” Jacob said after a few seconds, “I just genuinely don’t know a lot about what you girls get up to.” “Really?” I cocked an eyebrow, “You don’t have a mother? Sisters? Girlfriends?” “I have a mom.” Jacob conceded, “But… Well, our home life is a little different to most. And no, I’ve never had a girlfriend before.” “You’re with Zoe right now.” I replied. I tried to ignore the fact that I was happy Jacob didn’t seem to see my friend in a romantic light. “I don’t know if I would consider her my girlfriend.” Jacob replied carefully, “At least not yet. I like to take my time, make sure of things.” I didn’t say anything. I wasn’t really sure what to do with the information. Was it even relevant at all, it didn’t seem to change anything. Yet, it still felt like something HAD changed. Perhaps it was the spark of hope that something could happen between us had just reignited. Was that even what I wanted? Life was so much easier when I didn’t care about any boys at all. “Besides, I think Zoe is a little cross at me today.” Jacob said with a naughty little smile. “Oh?” I didn’t want to pry but I was also very curious. “We were supposed to be going out today.” Jacob admitted, “I got a call last night from Liam saying your parents were looking for a babysitter and he recommended me…” “You blew off your date to come here?” I frowned, “But… why?” “I think you know why.” Jacob said with a sudden seriousness. The sentence hit me like a truck, and I swallowed nervously. I knew I was the first person he had asked out to the prom, the only person since Zoe had asked him afterwards. He said he liked to take his time over things, but it certainly didn’t seem that way to me. I looked away as my cheeks went red. Maybe I was reading too much into it, maybe he meant something else. I felt like I was combing over every word he said looking for hidden intent. As awkward as things had become, they were about to become a lot worse. As I looked away, I felt a rumbling in my belly which signified something dreadful. I felt my breath catch in my chest. I couldn’t do this, not in front of Jacob! The pressure started to grow quickly in my bowels. My morning movement was on the way, and I knew that the muscles down there wouldn’t be able to do a thing to stop the inevitable. I should’ve gone earlier; I should’ve tried to force it out when I heard a babysitter was coming. If I had known, it was going to be Jacob I would have done everything I could to avoid messing myself in front of him. I looked around for a place to hide. “I, erm, have to go…” I muttered. “Huh? Go where?” Jacob asked. I was already waddling from the room. I tried to tense my sphincter which was, of course, completely useless. I could feel my poop pressing against it and immediately started to push out of my body. I whimpered as I turned in the hallway and hurried towards the kitchen. I didn’t really know what my plan was, only that I didn’t want to humiliate myself in front of the one boy I didn’t despise. It was silly really, deep down I knew that one way or another Jacob was going to find me in my soon to me messy diaper, there was no way to avoid it happening, yet I couldn’t help but feel like I needed a private place to do it. “Emma?” Jacob called after me, “What’s going on? Where are you going?” I mumbled something but even I didn’t know what it was. Then I turned and opened a door to the far side of the kitchen that led into the garage. I didn’t turn on the light and ended up kicking a metal bucket rather painfully as I found a quiet corner and squatted down. It was just in time. I closed my eyes as I felt myself poop uncontrollably into my underwear. It was a familiar but hated sensation. The log curling around as it hit the back of the padding and smearing against me, it almost felt like I imagined ice cream would… If ice cream had been hot, stinky and all together more gross. I wasn’t thinking straight. I grunted a little as I heard Jacob in the kitchen calling my name again. It wouldn’t take long for him to find me; I’d left the garage door open. I pushed down and felt more lumps emerge into my diaper. I heard a slight crackle from the diaper shifting under my onesie to accommodate what I was doing to it. Despite how embarrassing it was, I slipped my pacifier into my mouth and sucked on the amber bulb. For some reason it always made me feel at least a little bit better in times like this. I started to stand up but before I’d even got halfway, I was crouching again for one last push. I felt the mush pressed against my skin spreading up towards my back. For good measure, my bladder released, and I soaked the front just as much as I had dirtied the back. I let out a deep breath as I slowly opened my eyes in the darkness. “Do you need some help?” Jacob asked. His voice coming from the doorway behind me. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. I had already uncontrollably filled my pants in front of Jacob, I really didn’t want to start crying over it. But the tears wouldn’t be stopped, and I sniffed as I wiped my eyes with the backs of my hands. Jacob had been here less than ten minutes, and I had shown him who I truly was. I felt so humiliated. The man I had a crush on, who had just all but told me he had blown off a date to come look after me, and this is how I replied. By showing him how useless and pathetic I truly was. It was like my body was working as hard as possible to make him regret his decision and show him that I really was the useless baby that I really didn’t want to be. “Hey…” I felt a hand on my shoulder. I hadn’t even noticed Jacob getting nearer to me, “Are you alright?” I slowly stood up. The air in the garage was stale at the best of times, now it smelled awful. I turned but couldn’t look Jacob in the eye, instead I kept my face to the floor and shook my head. No, I wasn’t alright, I desperately needed a change and had just humiliated myself. I was angry. I hated myself. “Come on.” Jacob said softly, “Let me help you.” “You shouldn’t.” I angrily spat out, “I don’t deserve it.” “Don’t be silly.” Jacob replied, “Of course you do.” Jacob reached down and took my hand. I felt suddenly nauseous but not like I was going to be sick. It was a very curious feeling. Like butterflies in my tummy, almost like I needed to poop again. If literally anyone else in the world had taken my hand, I would’ve been furious, but as I looked in Jacob’s eyes through my own watery ones I felt very differently indeed. “Come on.” Jacob said with a small smile, “It’s OK. It’s not your fault.” Not my fault? That wasn’t something I heard very often. I slowly stood up, wincing as the diaper moved against my skin. Jacob kept hold of my hand and gently led me back into the main house. I kept expecting him to let go, to start making fun of me or something, but he didn’t. We went upstairs to my nursery. If I hadn’t been in such a desperate need for a change, I would have stopped him going in and see how I lived I pushed open the door and stepped inside. My face went the same shade of pink as the walls as I turned to see Jacob looking around. Despite my messy diaper and everything else that was going on I was somehow more embarrassed about my room. “Nice room.” Jacob said. “I hate it.” I mumbled in reply. “Why? It looks…” Jacob started. “Like it’s meant for a baby.” I finished. Jacob stopped and then chuckled. He nodded his head a little. God, his laugh made me melt. I wished more than anything that we were equal, that we were meeting under a situation where I wasn’t so clearly pathetic. I stood staring at him without even realising I was doing it. “Did you want to…” Jacob indicated the changing table. I nodded and walked over, stumbling over the rug on the way but thankfully keeping my balance. There was no way to do the next part gracefully and I lifted myself with my arms and turned, landing butt first on the table and causing the poopy mess in my diaper to immediately spread over my skin. I winced as I shifted and laid down on the padded surface. “Are you sure you want me to do this?” Jacob asked as he took his place and pulled out a diaper as well as the half-full tub of wipes. “No, I don’t want you to do this.” I replied rather sulkily before continuing in a much quieter voice, “But I can’t do it myself.” Jacob had the tact not to say anything. He must’ve thought I was so pathetic. Not only needing and using diapers but being completely able to change them myself. I heard the poppers on my onesie come apart and Jacob pushed the flaps up and over my belly revealing the diaper underneath. I couldn’t look at him, I was mortified about what he was about to do and turned my head to the wall, lifting one arm to cover my eyes. “Alright, let’s give this a go.” Jacob said as he started pulling on the tapes. I felt the diaper slacken and then, finally, the front was lowered down. I thought I might die of embarrassment. This was not how I wanted the guy I had a crush on to see me, this was not the way I wanted ANY man to see me. I thought back to what mom had said to me, about how being changed by dad for the first time was some kind of wonderful intimate experience. I’d scoffed at her but now I thought I might’ve understood what she meant. “I’m sorry…” I mumbled through my embarrassment as Jacob started wiping me clean. “It’s fine.” Jacob replied. It sounded like he was trying not to breathe through his nose, “It’s not so bad.” “It is.” I said sourly, “I hate that I have to wear diapers.” Jacob didn’t say anything as he finished cleaning me up. In truth, the whole process took several long minutes. As humiliating as it was to have my most private areas on display to him it really paled into insignificance when I thought about what he was doing. I remembered what he had intimated downstairs, that he had blown off a date to come look after me. For a brief minute there I maybe had a chance with the only guy who had ever seemed evenly remotely nice. I’d immediately blown it. There was no way he could see me as anything other than a useless baby now. I noticed that Jacob didn’t seem to be particularly confident changing my diaper. He made a bit of a mess cleaning me up and had to adjust the tapes on the new disposable several times before it fit correctly. Even then it was a little loose. I got the feeling he hadn’t changed many diapers before. After popping my onesie back together Jacob looked across the room at one of the few shelves not completely occupied by baby stuff. I was straightening up my onesie as he reached up to the bookshelf and ran his finger along the spines. “Have you read all these?” Jacob asked. He sounded a little surprised to see them. I had to admit that they did look a little out of place when the rest of the room looked like it belonged to a toddler. “Yeah.” I replied, “Have you?” “Just one of them.” Jacob replied, “I have to admit I don’t do a lot of reading.” There was silence for a few seconds. I didn’t really know how to respond to that. Reading was one of my favourite things in the world. Being able to just forget about the real world for a little bit could be blessed relief sometimes. I watched Jacob and wondered what he was thinking. I didn’t have to wait long to find out. He turned around with a big smile on his face. “Tell me about them.” Jacob said. “Huh? Why?” I replied rather stupidly. “Let’s go downstairs and you can tell me about your favourite books.” Jacob said. “But… you could just read them yourself.” I said. “I don’t want to read them.” Jacob said, “I want to hear you talking about them.” My eyes opened wide, and I felt myself going red. I couldn’t help but smile a little as I walked away. I loved reading but had never had the opportunity to really talk to others about it. I really didn’t know what to say and could feel myself getting flustered. I shifted my feet uncomfortably and was actually getting quite annoyed about being on the spot. “But how about we get some lunch first.” Jacob suggested. I was grateful that the spotlight had been turned off. I nodded my head and was glad to follow Jacob out on to the landing and then downstairs. We went through to the dining room where Jacob was already opening the fridge as I walked in. I stood in the doorway staring at Jacob feeling even more surprised. “Baby food?” Jacob’s head was hidden by the fridge door, “You eat this stuff?” “What are you doing?” I asked with a frown. “I was going to make us some sandwiches.” Jacob said as he pulled out butter and some other things. “Shouldn’t I do that?” I said slowly. “Do you want to?” Jacob stopped and raised his head above the door to look at me, “I don’t want to step on any toes.” “No…” I was almost suspicious. Like I was being tested. Jacob smiled and went back to making the sandwich. I went across to the table and got into my highchair, pulling the tray closed and watching Jacob as he made a couple of sandwiches. At one point he looked back at where I was sitting and faltered for a second before going back to making the food. “You eat in one of those things?” Jacob asked as he brought the plates over. “It’s not like I have much choice.” I muttered, “If I sit anywhere else Dad spanks me.” “I mean… He’s not here at the moment.” Jacob said. I understood he was hinting that I could sit in a regular chair if I wanted. In all the meals I had eaten since I could remember I had looked at those normal chairs with envy. But now, as I was given the option to sit in one for lunch, I found myself shying away from it. I hated to admit it, but I was… scared. I knew my coordination was abysmal. I didn’t know if I could sit in one of the chairs without somehow falling off it. At school the plastic chairs we had were low to the ground and even on those I found myself falling over occasionally, these were higher and would hurt more. Then there was the worry that I would do it right in front of Jacob. It felt like a risk I couldn’t take. “I’ll just stay here.” I muttered quietly. “OK, no problem.” Jacob said with a smile. A sandwich on a small plate was placed in front of me and Jacob sat down on the nearest chair, the one mom usually used. I watched as Jacob bit into his sandwich and then looked down at mine. I wasn’t often allowed to feed myself at home, I hadn’t even been given a bib. A part of me felt exhilarated. Jacob really did see me as an adult or an equal, or at least as much of one as was possible under the circumstances. I picked up the sandwich with a smile. I don’t know if it was anxiety, my coordination, or something else, but as I held my lunch in front of my mouth a bunch of the filling fell out and on to my clothes. I yelped and, in my shock, I ended up quickly dropping the rest of the food. I stared down at the tray where the sandwich had broken apart and then my chest which was now stained from the food that had dropped on it. I put my elbows on the tray and covered my face in embarrassment. I expected Jacob to say something, or to laugh, but he remained silent. After a couple of seconds, I heard his chair scrape on the floor, and I assumed he was going to leave. He was going to write me off as hopeless just like everyone else did and move on to a girl who could actually give him what he wanted. My eyes watered as my emotions ran away from me. I parted my fingers and saw Jacob opening the fridge door. “I’m… I’m sorry…” I muttered in shame. “Don’t worry about it.” Jacob answered sunnily, “I didn’t realise how bad your coordination was. It’s fine, I’ll make you another sandwich.” But I was going to worry about it. Even if my coordination had just been normal for my age and gender, I wouldn’t have found it much of a problem, but that wasn’t what it was like. I honestly felt as though my ability to use my hands for small tasks hadn’t got any better from when I was a toddler. I lagged so far behind my classmates that at several points the teachers had considered holding me back a year or two. It was only my father demanding they keep me on the same track that had stopped them. One of the few things I could be thankful to him for. He didn’t do it out of altruism and generosity towards me though. No, he didn’t want me held back because he knew it would make it harder to find a husband, there was a stigma against girls that deviated from the curve, and he needed me married off and out of the house, so I was no longer his problem. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. All support is very gratefully accepted ❤️ https://reamstories.com/elfy https://subscribestar.adult/elfy --- The new sandwich was placed in front of me, and I looked down at it. I knew what would happen if I picked it up. I would try my best to eat and would end up with food dropping everywhere. I looked up at Jacob, he had sat back down and was taking a bite of his own sandwich. He saw me looking and then he looked down at my sandwich too. I could see him doing the math and realising why my face was turning red. “Oh, do you want me to…” Jacob started. “Yes, please.” I mumbled. “OK, that’s fine.” Jacob said. I looked down at the tray as Jacob shifted his chair closer to me. The legs squeaked on the floor before Jacob picked up the sandwich on my tray. I felt so pathetic. Even a sandwich was too much for me to reliably feed myself. “I’ve never done this before.” Jacob said, “Just let me know if I do something wrong, alright?” I nodded a little and as the sandwich came up to my mouth I took a bite of it. As I chewed, Jacob put down the sandwich and ate some of his own. It was embarrassing and matters weren’t helped by Jacob not saying anything, it was like I could feel him judging me. “So, you’ve never fed a girl before?” I asked just to fill the silence. “Yeah, like I said, things are different in our house.” Jacob said, “Mom was potty trained before I was born, and she got her coordination really early. It was actually quite a shock to realise not everyone has had the same experience. Mom and Dad are pretty much equals in our house, Mom even has a part-time job.” I didn’t say anything. All I could think about was how lucky Jacob’s mom was. I practically seethed with jealousy as I was fed another bit of my sandwich, the difference between what Jacob was used to and what I was presenting could hardly have been greater. For the next little while Jacob talked more about the differences between what he was used to and what he had seen down where I was. I had never heard of families living like Jacob’s did, I never knew it was even a possibility. The idea of being equal had always been a dream, I never knew it could’ve been a reality. It made sense that my family, in this very conservative town, truly believed that by trying to better my set position in life I was acting as some sort of subversive menace, that I needed it beaten out of me, almost literally. To hear that there were some, though not many, that lived a more equal life was like finding out that Atlantis was real, it changed everything. I listened to Jacob talking about his home life as he fed both himself and me. I was entranced by the things he said, imagining a world where I was like that. Sure, Jacob’s mom still suffered from societal sexism, and she wasn’t entirely free from the struggles of her gender, but compared to what I was used to it seemed like paradise. When lunch was finished, I had to show Jacob how to unlock the tray on the highchair. I dropped down and knocked into the table as I stumbled forwards, I yelped from the sudden impact. Jacob reached out his hands and held my hips. “Are you alright?” Jacob asked with worry. I was momentarily frozen. I looked down to see Jacob’s hands on either side of me and felt tingles running through my body. The man had changed my stinky diaper and seen my lower half naked, why was this simple touch doing so much to me? “I’m… fine.” I mumbled. Jacob’s hands left me, and I wished they would come back. I wanted to feel them all over me. My cheeks went red, and I did my best to not look at Jacob, I didn’t want him to see just how obviously I was blushing. Normally, after lunch, I was put down for a nap. It meant that after eating in the highchair I had an almost Pavlovian response and started to feel a little tired. However, Jacob didn’t head upstairs to the nursery, instead he led the way to the living room and the couch. He turned the television on but kept the volume low, just as some background noise, and then signalled for me to join him. I chose to sit at the other end of the couch leaving plenty of space between us. “So, why don’t you tell me about those books.” Jacob said as he smiled at me. “I, erm, I’m not sure what to say.” I mumbled in response. I never got to talk about my interests so I wasn’t sure what people would want to hear. “Make it like a book report.” Jacob suggested. “A… book report?” I replied with some confusion. “You’ve never done a book report?” Jacob raised his eyebrows. “I mean… I’ve seen Ollie writing them, but I’ve never read one or done my own…” I mumbled. Jacob puffed out his cheeks and looked both surprised and a little angry. I felt a flash of annoyance and embarrassment. Of course I hadn’t done a book report before. The school had barely taught us the basics of reading and writing, even that felt like it was done under duress on their part, they probably wouldn’t have bothered if it didn’t hinder girls’ abilities to follow recipes or instructions. We certainly didn’t read books in school, unless you counted the overly simplistic books that were more for children than adults, and we definitely weren’t encouraged to think of them in any kind of analytical way. “Alright, that’s OK, I could… teach you, if you want?” Jacob suggested. “I’m, erm, not so good with writing.” I said. “You could give it orally.” Jacob smiled. I don’t know if he noticed how I blushed at his choice of words. “W-What do I have to do?” I asked nervously. “Well, how about this. Do you have a pen and some paper?” Jacob asked. I stood up and went across the room. There was a drawer underneath the cabinet where I thought I might be able to find some, I had to bend over to look. I looked over my shoulder briefly and for just a fraction of a second, I saw Jacob staring at my butt, he quickly looked away. Normally that would be enough to annoy me, I hated any acknowledgement of my bulging underwear, however this time I just felt myself flushing with warmth as I quickly looked at the drawer again. I liked that he was looking. “Here we go.” I said as I placed a pad of lined paper and a pen on the table. Jacob picked them up and then started writing. “Right, well, which of the books is your favourite?” Jacob asked. “Promise to not make fun of me?” I asked nervously. “Why would I make fun of you?” Jacob replied. “I don’t know. Ollie and my Dad tend to do so. So do the girls at school though I do my best not to let them see me read. I usually hide in the back of the library to do it.” I said. “I won’t make fun of you.” Jacob said. “To Kill a Mockingbird.” I said. “OK, I’ve heard of that one.” Jacob nodded his head, “About racism, right?” “Well, yes, but also lots of other things. It’s about growing up, social values, morality, and…” I started talking quickly. It hadn’t taken me long to really feel enthused by what we were doing. “Hold on, hold on.” Jacob’s pen was quickly scribbling across the paper, “I’m not a fast writer.” I smiled as I turned sideways so my legs were up on the couch. I sat cross-legged and facing Jacob, eagerly awaiting the chance to talk about one of my favourite things, something that I never got to talk about with anyone else. I knew I was already attracted to Jacob but now it felt like the pull was becoming overwhelming, he was stimulating my mind and that was the sexiest thing I could imagine. “Alright, so… tell me what happens.” Jacob said. So I did. I started to run through the plot. I was getting so excited I was frequently tripping over my words as I rushed to explain as much as possible. I had never gotten to discuss my interests like this, not even with Nicole, and now it was like my mouth was trying to make up for lost time. Every couple of minutes Jacob had to stop me so he could keep up. He asked me all sorts of questions as well. Who was my favourite character? What did I think of an event? How do I think such theme resonates today? He listened to my answers and asked follow up questions! It was something I had never experienced before. An honest to God discussion. Not just me trying to talk about something I cared about with people ignoring me or telling me to shut up, not some vapid conversation about boys or some other inanity, an actual intelligent conversation about a book I loved. Sure, Jacob didn’t know a great deal about it, but he was paying attention and asked good questions. After a few minutes I had scooted closer to him so that I was sitting in the middle of the couch. I didn’t even notice that I was doing it. I noticed my diaper was wet and I didn’t remember doing that either. It didn’t matter. I didn’t want this conversation to end, I started to become anxious that my family would come home, and I would have to stop talking. I have no idea how long we sat on that couch talking. Jacob had gone through several pages of paper and was occasionally having to shake his wrist which he said was cramping up. I increasingly felt tiredness threatening to overtake me as well. My body was used to post-lunch naps, and I was depriving it. My voice was even growing hoarse from talking so much despite drinking to lubricate my throat. Gradually I started to lean against the back of the chair. Then, as I grew increasingly tired, I started leaning forwards a little more. I felt very bold as I scooted up the couch until my arm was touching Jacob’s. I could feel something like static electricity where we touched. Jacob just kept asking me questions and I was happy to answer, the more interest he took in me the more I felt attracted to him in return. Soon I was leaning forwards with my head against Jacob’s shoulder. It felt so daring and yet… right. It was the strangest feeling. One of safety, comfort and overwhelming attraction. I had promised myself, throughout my whole childhood that I would never be like the other girls, fawning over any boy who gave them attention and yet there I was. Was I just letting my guard down to be hurt by a man? “Keep going.” Jacob said quietly. “At the end… the… Atticus and…” I was so tired, like I was coming down off a sugar rush. The excitement had completely drained me. I leaned increasingly heavily against Jacob’s shoulder as my eyes struggled to stay open. I felt like I just needed a short rest. Jacob smelt so good, the masculinity which always put me off seemed to be having the opposite effect with him. I felt the arm I was leaning against move and I almost fell even closer against Jacob’s side as the arm that had been my pillow went around my shoulders. I felt so small and safe. Instead of hating it, I brought my legs up on to the couch. My eyes were still closed as my head leaned against Jacob’s side. I could feel his heartbeat, his chest rising and falling with his breaths and found myself subconsciously matching him. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. I felt like I could feel it vibrating through me. My eyes remained closed, but I could feel movement. The last thing I remembered was sitting on the couch, far too close to Jacob for my own good, and we were talking. Then… I must’ve fallen asleep. I must’ve fallen asleep ON Jacob! Oh god, just when I thought I couldn’t embarrass myself any further. I had dropped into unconsciousness in the middle of a conversation like an overtired toddler. I felt strong arms. One was under my butt and the other wrapped around my back. I could smell Jacob’s very strong musk all around me. We were definitely moving but… My eyes flew open, and I had to stifle a gasp. I was in Jacob’s arms! He was carrying me! “Jacob, I…” I had no idea what I was going to say. Was I going to protest being carried by someone I was so obviously crushing on? Was I going to apologise for falling asleep on him in the first place? My mouth closed as I blushed hard. I felt the chest pressing against my face move up and down with a deep laugh. “Just relax.” Jacob said easily, “You’re tired. It’s my fault, I probably overstimulated you when you were already overdue for a nap.” Whilst Jacob wasn’t wrong, I still felt my heart sink. I didn’t want him to think of me as a baby and yet what other impression could he possibly get? I snuggled closer to his chest. If this was going to be the last time he showed any interest in me, as I assumed it would be, then I might as well do my best to fill every sense with him. He was so strong, and I felt so protected as he held me close. I wondered if he knew what he was doing to me, that he was breaking down walls I had built to protect myself and leaving me so very exposed. I was carried back up to my nursery. I had thought Jacob would just put me back down in the crib, but he took me over to the changing table instead. Of course, I had been wet before I had fallen asleep on him. I didn’t really know what to do. He had changed me before but now I wondered if I should pretend to fall back asleep or something. In the end, as my diaper was changed I just sort of laid on the table like a mannequin, not moving or saying anything. “Have a good rest.” Jacob said to me as he helped me up into my crib. I desperately wanted to resist the sleep that was already overtaking me again. I had enjoyed my time with Jacob so much, I didn’t want it to end right there in the nursery. “I ju-…” I started. I didn’t get very far before I had Jacob leaning over me. He pressed his lips to my forehead, and I thought I was going to melt. The warm, soft kiss felt more delicate and loving than anything I had ever experienced before. It stunned me and as Jacob slowly pulled away to stand up straight, I found myself wanting more. “This has been fun.” Jacob said as he pulled the bars up. They rattled into place and sealed me away from him. “Are you leaving?” I asked. “I think your folks will be home by the time you wake up.” Jacob said. “Oh.” I replied. The disappointment must’ve been obvious on my face as Jacob gave me a sympathetic smile. “I’ll see you at school.” Jacob said. With that, it was over. I leaned my face against the bars and watched Jacob go until I physically couldn’t see him anymore. I heard him walking downstairs and felt an overwhelming desire to get him back to me, one way or the other. I thought about wailing but I didn’t need to make myself look like any more of a useless baby in front of him. Besides, even if he came back, I had no idea what I would actually say. I closed my eyes and let out a deep sigh. In the end my decision was made for me. I laid my head on the pillow and, like one of Pavlov’s dogs who just heard a bell, had an immediate reaction. Sleep pressed in on me from all sides and with no real plan to keep Jacob around I let it sweep over me until I was snoring. The sound being carried through the baby monitor on the nearby shelf and heard by the other one in the living room. --- When I woke up later that day it took me a second to remember why I felt an almost instinctive embarrassment. Then it came back to me, pouring on top of me like one of my leaky diapers. Jacob, the babysitting, the falling asleep, the being carried in his big, strong arms. I buried my head in my pillow. It was hard to believe it hadn’t all been one particularly embarrassing dream. If there had been any doubt remaining, it had been blown away by the events of that morning. No matter how much I might’ve wanted to remain an aloof and independent young woman who didn’t need anyone else, it seemed destiny had other plans for me. I wanted Jacob. Remembering that he had asked me to go to the prom and I had flat out turned him down now felt like a crushing mistake, like I’d thrown away my one chance at a future I desperately wanted. Instead, I had Liam. I shuddered as I imagined what a future with him would be like. I would be just like mom. I wondered if mom had ever had any individuality or dreams independent of her family or if she had always been happy with her lot. The rest of the day was a bit of a blur and before I knew it, I was waking up the next morning for school. I was in a bit of a daze when mom came in to change my wet overnight diaper and dress me. My mind was elsewhere and before I knew it, I was walking into school next to Zoe. She had been talking for most of the journey on the bus, but I couldn’t remember a word of what she had said. I could only think about Jacob. Whenever I did manage to turn some of my attention to my best friend, I could only feel a deep sense of jealousy. She had taken the opportunity that I had spurned, pounced on the one good man in the whole school, maybe the whole town. The morning was a bit of a blur. One of my classmates was given a spanking in front of the rest of us. I didn’t know what her supposed crime was, but I had been in her position enough times to know how she felt. Otherwise, it felt like I was in a dream, somehow disconnected from what was going on and lost in my own thoughts of self-pity. Not even my usual trip to the school nurse managed to break through my malaise. The one thing that DID get through, that made me seem to wake up from my trance, was Jacob sitting down opposite me at the lunch table. I had been staring across the room to where Nicole was sitting and laughing with her male friends when Jacob walked straight over to my usual table, Zoe was next to him and seemed to be keeping up a constant stream of one-sided conversation. He smiled at me, and I looked away, a red blush spreading across my face. He was sat next to Zoe who was keeping up a steady stream of chat. I wondered if Jacob tuned her out like I sometimes did. Maybe it was an acquired skill. “Hey, babe.” Liam’s gruff voice announced his arrival. He dropped into the seat next to me and I felt his arm try to wrap around my shoulder and I shrugged it off. The opposite side of the table showed what I could’ve had if I hadn’t been so stubborn, my side of the table showed my reality. Liam had very traditional views and that meant, in his mind, I was already his. Agreeing to go to the prom with him was basically a commitment for a long-term relationship. I knew as much when I had rashly agreed to go with him just to hit back at Zoe. At least THAT seemed to be working. I couldn’t help but notice that Zoe had finally stopped talking and was looking across at me and Liam with obvious annoyance. “Hello.” I said as politely as I could. I really didn’t want to encourage Liam. “Oh, she does talk to me.” Liam said loudly with a bark of a laugh at the end, “You haven’t been answering my texts.” “I must’ve missed them…” I lied. I hadn’t. From the time I last saw Liam to that lunchtime I had received no less than twenty-three texts from him, each one demanding my attention. “Naughty, naughty.” Liam said with a chuckle, “Good girls don’t lie. And they certainly don’t ignore their boyfriends.” I shuddered. “I would never ignore a message from you, Jacob.” Zoe suddenly said, “Not that you send me many… That’s OK though! I like the strong and silent type.” I looked across the table as Zoe held on to Jacob’s arm as if he was a lifeboat. Jacob didn’t look too terribly comfortable, but I didn’t think any of us at that table were. I tried to ignore the complex drama happening around me as I bit into my sandwich, half of the filling fell out and as I tried to stop it falling to the floor, I managed to bang my elbow on the table and drop the rest of my food. Liam immediately started laughing as I turned red. “See? She REALLY needs a man to look after her.” Liam said sagely, “Poor little thing, so clumsy and delicate.” I really wanted to respond. My embarrassment at my lack of coordination along with my anger towards Liam’s mocking tone was slamming my buttons. I clenched my hands into fists and my jaw clenched so hard I thought my teeth might shatter. “Hey, I’ve been thinking.” Liam said. He seemed to be completely unaware of my discomfort. It was more likely that he simply didn’t care, “Why don’t we go on a date before prom?” “No.” I said flatly. That was an idea I could dismiss out of hand. “Ooh, I like that idea!” Zoe excitedly said from across the table. She turned to Jacob, “How about WE go on a date?” “That sounds…” I saw Jacob’s eyes flash towards me for just a split second, “Sure, why not.” I felt my heart sink. I knew I had no right to make demands on Jacob. I was the idiot who had turned him down when I’d had a chance. It seemed unfair though. I hadn’t known he was the one decent man alive when I said no! I felt panicky. My diaper warmed beneath me as my agitation caused my bladder to void helplessly. Zoe was already discussing ideas for things they could do, and I felt that intense jealousy starting to rise to the surface. What if they kissed? What if they did… more? “W-Why not make it a double date?” I quickly said a little more loudly than I had planned. “A double date?” Jacob raised his eyebrows. A smile started to creep across his face. “S-Sure.” I said. “I thought you just said you didn’t want to-…” Liam started with a confused frown. “I changed my mind!” I interrupted. “That’ll be fun!” Zoe said excitedly. She clapped her hands. “Then let’s do it.” Jacob said. I looked up to see Zoe lean forwards as if she was going to give Jacob a peck on the cheek, but he shifted away and leaned down to look into his bag. Zoe was left pouting, and I wondered if it had been a deliberate move on Jacob’s part. If it was then he was certainly a good actor as he acted like nothing had happened. “We should see a film.” Liam said. He leered at me, “One not many other people will be at. We can get the back row and in the dark who knows what might happen.” Liam winked and I felt my skin crawl. It seemed that the decision wasn’t going to be mine to make as the others eagerly made plans. Well, to be precise, Zoe and Liam made the plans. I noticed Jacob staring at Liam with an intensity I hadn’t seen before. It was an expression that softened as soon as he turned to me again. Eventually it was decided that we would all go to the cinema that Friday night. It meant that most of the rest of the week I had to endure Zoe endlessly and excitedly talking about it. I couldn’t even hide how annoying it was and asked her to stop multiple times, she didn’t listen. No, Zoe, I don’t know what I’m going to wear. No, Zoe, I don’t know what we’ll see. No, Zoe, I haven’t been on a date before. No, Zoe, Liam hasn’t talked to me about you. In fact, I’ve been avoiding him so-… “Wait a minute, why do you care if Liam has talked about you?” I asked with a frown on Friday afternoon, just hours before the date was due to begin. “I don’t know…” Zoe shrugged, “Just curious.” I knew Zoe had a crush on Liam. At least she used to have a crush on him. She hadn’t talked about him much since getting together with Jacob. It was understandable, Jacob was better in every way. It had been a tough week. My jealousy of Zoe was only growing. I found myself hoping the rest of my family were going to announce they were going somewhere and that they were hiring a babysitter again. I didn’t care if the situation was embarrassing, I just wanted one on one time with Jacob where we could talk again. I would’ve asked if he wanted to come over as a friend, but it seemed Zoe was occupying nearly all of his time. Liam would be doing the same with me if I let him. In fact, I was somewhat surprised that Liam continued to respect my lack of replies and didn’t barge into my house regardless. “Do you think the guys will try to kiss us?” Zoe asked. I saw her cheeks reddening and she bit her lip like a young girl saying something she wasn’t supposed to. “I hope not…” I muttered in response. I pictured Liam kissing me and it was nearly enough to throw up my lunch. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links. All support is very gratefully accepted ❤️ https://reamstories.com/elfy https://subscribestar.adult/elfy --- I was tired out and a little sweaty after my walk to the cinema. Liam had offered me a lift but there was no chance I was about to accept that. He would’ve insisted but I lied and said my dad wanted to drop me off. Just about the only authority a man accepts is the authority of a man higher up the food chain. I had designed it so I arrived as late as I dared to. I wanted to get to the movie just before the start and then leave right after it ended, spending the least amount of time possible with Liam. I had, however, forgotten how unpleasant simply walking around outside could be. It was the third time that I received a wolf whistle that I started to feel unsafe, thankfully I was only a block away from the cinema by then. “Emma! We were starting to get worried!” Zoe wrapped her arms around me in a brief hug, “Jacob was worrying that you’d been kidnapped or something!” “No such luck.” I muttered. “You look nice.” Jacob said with the smile that melted my heart every time. I snorted. I had deliberately done my best to NOT look nice. I had dressed in my least revealing long skirt and a pink shirt that clashed horribly with it. I wanted to look as unsexy as possible and felt I’d done a very good job of it. If mom and Dad knew why I was leaving the house they would’ve insisted on a very different outfit. I just counted myself lucky that they didn’t ask too many questions. Ollie had a music recital going on, so their attention was elsewhere. “Liam’s just inside.” Jacob said, “Shall we head in? The movie starts in five minutes.” I nodded. Jacob opened the door and held it so Zoe could head in. I looked down the street and wondered if there were any excuses I could make to just walk away. It didn’t seem likely. “Emma?” Jacob said, “The entrance is this way.” I snorted with laughter even as my face started going red. He wasn’t laughing though, just smiling at me in the way he so often did, the smile that seemed to attract me like a magnet. That made me want to confess what a mistake I had made in turning him down and-… “Emma?” Jacob said again, “You might want to come inside.” I was jolted out of my thoughts and looked around to see a family behind me. I was blocking the doorway. With a mumbled apology I look studiously down at the floor as I quickly stepped inside and out of the way. I was pretty sure I heard the Dad of the family mutter something about “stupid girls” as he went past. The cinema’s lobby and screens were up on the second floor. I followed Jacob and nearly tripped over several steps. it wasn’t just my poor coordination that was giving me trouble either, not with Jacob right in front of me. “Ah, there they are.” Zoe said as we climbed the final few steps and emerged into a large foyer. She was struggling to hold on to several large buckets of popcorn and drinks. Jacob hurried over to help her. The room was bustling with activity. In front of us there was a counter that was packed with all sorts of candy and other snacks whilst behind all that there were several drinks machines. Standing between the confectionary and the sodas were a few teenage employees who looked overworked. I couldn’t help but feel jealousy. The people working at the cinema were mostly either my age or younger and doing something I would never get the opportunity to. “There’s my girl!” Liam called out. It looked like he was returning from the bathroom. Liam kept closing the distance and, too late, I realised he was doing more than just greeting me. I took one step backwards and wobbled dangerously before his arms were wrapped around me in a hug I wanted no part of. I felt a hand go down and cup my diaper against my butt with no thought about the fact that we were in public. “Get… off!” I exclaimed. Liam instead leaned in for a kiss, but I was able to avoid it by leaning away until I was at a very awkward angle. I could only go so far; my top half was practically horizontal and the odious man’s lips were so close to my cheek. I closed my eyes and braced myself. “Hey, Liam?” Jacob’s voice caused everything else to freeze, “We should probably head to the screen. We’re running a little bit late.” I waited with bated breath until Liam suddenly, and rather unceremoniously, let go of me. I stumbled sideways but thankfully a nearby promotional stand kept me upright. I took a few deep breaths and found I was shaking a little. I had always imagined myself being so much stronger if I found myself in a situation like that. I’d always imagined fighting off the man, kicking him between the legs, for instance. Instead, I froze up and did little more than limply lean away. “Alright, we’ll have plenty of time later.” Liam said as he leered at me. The others walked on ahead. I followed, aware now that plenty of other people in the lobby were looking at me. Some were doing it with sympathy, many more, mostly men, were smirking or otherwise eyeing me up. I didn’t feel safe at all. This was one of the reasons that I didn’t want to leave the house alone even if I was given the opportunity to do so. Despite what had just happened, I hurried to catch up with the others. We went down a short corridor that muffled the sound of the foyer until we reached a heavy door with the number three stencilled on to it. After a quick check of our tickets, we went inside. The door closed behind us so the only sound we heard came from the loudspeakers on the walls. The screen was already playing but it looked like it was just the tail end of the trailers. Our seats, predictably, were at the back. The cinema itself was only about half full and there was no one around us in any direction. As we took our seats in the dark it was difficult not to feel very isolated. I was at the end of our little foursome with Liam next to me, Zoe next to him and then Jacob furthest from me. Before I’d even got myself settled, I had Liam’s arm around my shoulder and he wouldn’t be shrugged off easily. “Sit still.” Liam leaned in and said to me, “Let’s not start our date off with a spanking.” I shuddered but knew it was no empty threat. Whilst not too terribly common, a man disciplining his woman in public wasn’t unheard of. Too many times, whilst growing up I’d seen women getting punished wherever they happened to be at the time. Whether at the supermarket, out at the park, or even just on the street. Mom had always used those occasions to remind me it was important that I was a good girl. The film started and at least it provided a distraction. My brain had started to really churn through future possibilities about what I had gotten myself into and none of them were good. If I ended up with Liam, I could see the sort of woman I would be forced to become and I didn’t like it one bit. Thankfully, everyone seemed to just be watching the film. I didn’t pay much attention to it and really had no idea what was going on after fifteen minutes or so. I was just grateful that I didn’t need to talk to Liam or in some way feign interest. I sat, leaning away from Liam, and ate my popcorn. The worst part about Liam, I decided, was that he really didn’t think he was doing anything wrong. Then again, I couldn’t say for sure that he WAS doing something wrong either. He acted in a very macho way, but was that his fault when his whole life had been spent telling him to be that way? He saw me as his, no doubt about it, but that was no different to how ninety-nine percent of guys would think. He was just contrasted with Jacob who was his polar opposite. I wondered if I was just making excuses for Liam, giving myself a case of Stockholm Syndrome to better endure what a long-term relationship with him might be like. It was hard to say. I leaned forwards to take the large soda that I’d been bought and turned my head to look down our row. My heart nearly stopped as I saw that Zoe had her arms around Jacob and was practically sitting on his lap as they kissed. I froze up. I felt a sense of betrayal which wasn’t mine to have. I had turned Jacob down but… that wasn’t right! I felt the familiar impulsiveness which so often made me do things I quickly regretted taking over. Jacob had all but said that he preferred me to Zoe and yet he was kissing her so wantonly, in a way that made my heart ache and my blood boil. Well, two could play at that game. “Kiss me.” I demanded to Liam as I sat up straight. “Huh?” Liam had been paying more attention to the film than the rest of us and apparently was slow on the uptake. Forcing matters into my own hands, I leaned across my seat and turned Liam’s face toward me. Despite what I was doing my eyes were fixed beyond his head at Jacob. Their kiss seemed odd, like he was doing his best not to touch her any more than he had to. I pushed my face forwards before I could have second thoughts. My lips met Liam’s, and we started to kiss. It was only after it started that I realised that this was my first kiss, a moment that was supposed to be special and that I was doing because I was jealous and trying to make someone else feel the same way, whether it was Jacob or Zoe, I had no idea. Maybe it was both. The point was that I was now feeling Liam’s soft, slightly dry, lips against my own. I was feeling his tongue probing forwards with absolutely no skill. It must’ve been his first kiss as well. As so often happened with my impulsiveness, I quickly regretted what I was doing. As the shock of seeing my best friends and my crush kissing subsided, I was left with what I was doing. I suddenly felt disgusted, not by Liam who had little say in what I’d initiated, but in myself. The impulsiveness I always swore I wouldn’t let overpower after each incident remained as strong as ever. I didn’t know how long the kiss went on for. It wasn’t entirely unpleasant, even when Liam’s hands started exploring. A couple of times they got too close to places I didn’t want them to go and each time I repositioned his hands and, to my surprise, he didn’t move them again. Maybe he was so happy that he had made a “breakthrough” with me that he didn’t want to push the boat. I opened my eyes and as I did so I felt my heartbeat fall out of rhythm for just a second. Jacob was looking at me. Our eyes met and I froze up. Slowly and seemingly simultaneously both myself and Jacob separated from our partners. I heard Liam complaining but after I blocked his attempt to re-engage the kiss he sat back rather sulkily. By the time I was sat back in my seat I was rather glad that the cinema was so dark. Nobody would see how much I was blushing. I wondered if kissing Liam had made Jacob jealous, as intended, or if he thought I was just having a good time. I couldn’t resist glancing over every now and then and saw that despite Zoe seeming very keen, Jacob didn’t engage her in another kiss. It almost made up for the fact that I could still taste Liam. The film was long and, in my opinion, quite dull. Sure, there were plenty of explosions, and after each one Liam loudly cheered despite cinema etiquette, but the story made little sense. Still, it wasn’t the same old cartoons that I was often forced to watch at home if I tried to watch TV. As we stood up at the end and filed out of the screen and back into the lobby, I felt my diaper sagging quite a bit. I dropped the empty soda container in the trash and wished I hadn’t drunk so much. The problem was how salty the popcorn was. As I looked around the lobby, letting my eyes adjust to the light, I felt a hand reaching between my legs and pressing my diaper against me. I gasped and reacted instinctively. I spun around and slapped the person doing it, having no idea who it was. It turned out to be Liam who quickly withdrew his hand and put it up to his cheek. He looked shocked that I would dare to do such a thing. “You…” Liam muttered. “You shouldn’t do that!” I exclaimed. The concept of being told what he could and couldn’t do seemed completely alien to Liam. I think he would’ve been less shocked if I had suddenly sprouted a second head. Zoe and Jacob, who had lingered behind in the seats came out through the doors behind us. My eyes flicked to the side, and I saw that Zoe had Jacob’s hand and was practically pulling him into the lobby. They stopped next to us. “What’s going on?” Jacob asked when he saw the awkward situation developing. “She slapped me…” Liam said. He sounded like he was genuinely in shock. “He snuck up behind me.” I added. “I was checking you!” Liam held his arms out to the side, “Like any good man would.” “Yeah, well, I don’t need a change.” I muttered defiantly. It was a lie, of course, but I wasn’t about to admit that Liam was right in his assumption. Thankfully, attention was soon diverted as Zoe stepped closer to Jacob. She had a huge smile on her face as she took hold of Jacob’s hand and brought it forwards to press against her own diaper. She was smiling coyly at Jacob who seemed surprised and pulled his hand away quickly. He looked around, seemingly embarrassed and not wanting to be seen touching a girl like that. “What about me?” Zoe asked flirtatiously, “Do I need a change?” “I… I don’t think so.” Jacob said quietly. I saw Zoe’s face fall and she was practically pouting like a toddler. It would’ve been quite comical if I wasn’t still expecting Liam to suddenly leap at me for what I had done. The slap seemed to be so unexpected that his brain was still trying to process it. “I’m soaked!” Zoe exclaimed loud enough that half the lobby probably heard her. I felt embarrassed on her behalf. “It can probably wait until we get home.” Jacob said quickly, “Speaking of… Liam, shall we make a move?” I was grateful that Jacob seemed to be trying to get things moving again. The longer Liam was left to process that I had defied and embarrassed him in public the more likely I would face some strong punishment. “Liam?” Jacob said again when his friend had remained completely still. He reached out and touched his arm. “Huh? Oh, right, sure.” Liam said. --- If you want to see what happens next RIGHT NOW you can do so at one of the following links.
