2sail2 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Since I only wear in the morning for about 45 minutes, I bought super thin and super cheap Attends Maximum diapers. I tried them in bed recently and found them like I had nothing on at all. Maybe if I can get used to it after a couple weeks, I could try a slightly thicker diaper and work my way up. Attends has an Ultimate, so maybe I can get to the desired state of wearing at night. Maybe there's hope for those of who cannot wear to bed. 1

Why are you not able to wear to bed? does your wife know your a DL?
rusty pins Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I can wear diapers to bed, I just can't sleep while wearing them. Thin, thick, it doesn't matter. I'm lucky if I get an hour or two off and on all night long if I have a diaper on. If I'm out of town on a vacation, I can sleep a little better in a diaper at the hotel, but I think it's from being worn out from all the driving and touring all the sites and being on the go all day.

The few times I tried to wear, it was just too thick between the legs when I laid on my side. Also, was too sexual. About a year ago, I took a nap, like i always do on Saturday's, and was able to sleep with a pull up on. I have an adjustable bed so laying I on my back seems to help remove some sensation. 6 hours ago, DiaperboyEddie12 said: Why are you not able to wear to bed? does your wife know your a DL? Tadpole Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Practice. I too found sleeping in diapers nearly impossible when I was younger but over the last decade it became easier. Yes, start with very thin diapers to get used to the feeling on them. Maybe don't even try wetting them. 10 years ago I'd wear a night or two at a time, often having to take off the diaper in the middle of the night if I woke up and could not get back to sleep. Then the "night or two" became three, four, then a week, then I had a couple of times when I wore for a whole month and by then wetting and sleeping in them had become easier. Then I did a winter... stopping when the weather warmed up and I found them uncomfortable. The following winter I restarted... and that was 3 years ago now and I don't want to stop. I still don't wet in my sleep, but I have to wear thicker diapers as I wet more frequently during the night. I am aware that if I continue there might come the time that I develop actual sleep wetting, and if that happens I think I'm ok with that because I was always meant to be in diapers and by being in diapers at night I'm ticking that emotional box. 1
Joey_AB_DL Posted April 24 Posted April 24 It took me a long time to get to a point I could sleep in diapers. The “excitement” was the first obstacle, the second was realizing I could sleep on my belly or side which is my normal sleeping position. Now it’s my favorite way to go to bed! A fresh diaper and a onesie! I still wake up through the night, but it’s getting better and I don’t wake so many times. I will say I am able to nap easily in my recliner diapered and I get some amazing naps!!! good luck! joey
JamieJamie Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Yea. Same here. I don’t wear diapers daily so it’s also hard to fall asleep cuz of the bulk and the excitement of wearing in bed like a bed wetter. I try to whenever my spouse and kids are out of town. One time they were gone for a week, I wore to bed every night and managed to fall asleep without issues like on the 4th day.
foreverdl Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Back when I first started to wear to bed the excitement kept me from sleeping and then, it took a lot of time to get. used to them, I would wet it before I got into bed, but the warm wet made more excitement.. It just took time, and even now over 10 yrs later I wake up with a stiff well you know.

I think you need to push through this barrier ( @Tadpole - style). It might be a bit rough for a few nights but you WILL get past this. If you want to. I can't sleep without a nappy on now. I'd be too worried that I'd wet the bed (a real risk) and it would feel strange not being padded down there. 1

Reminds of my tricycle and that photo of me with the camper hooked up behind me.
Crinklz Kat Posted April 25 Posted April 25 I've worn to bed at night for so long it's hard to remember how long it took before it became "the norm". But I'm pretty sure it took months. As far as the "excitement" .... I pretty much had to "rub it out" before I'd be assured of getting to sleep.
WBxx Posted April 26 Posted April 26 When, due to bedwetting after drinking, a girlfriend convinced me to wear to bed when an accident was likely. At first the bulk surrounding my privates felt strange. I had trouble sleeping. But it wasn’t many nights before I woke to find my diaper soaked with no hint on the outside. It worked! Girlfriend was pleased. From that morning on wearing to bed has felt right. 2
