Joe323 Posted Wednesday at 09:21 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:21 AM Just wanted to know how many people here in addition to a wearing a thick bulky big adult plastic backed diaper Do you also wear a pair of plastic pants up and over the diaper. I have urinary incontinence so I’ll always wear a pair of plastic pants. They help keep the diaper in place a little better and if there are any leaks which almost never happens. I don’t have to worry about it. But since every morning after I wake up, I make my first big large well formed but almost never messy turd in my diaper I found the plastic pants are especially helpful keeping the diaper in place better as a big load will weigh down the diaper and make it more droopy and doesn’t stay quite in place as much so the plastic pants really helped after I’ve made a really huge turd or two in my diaper. I’ll wear them throughout the day and into the evening as well as when I’m out and it’s late at night if I’m coming home from a summer concert, the movies or New York City and I have to make a big turd. They’ll help hold the diaper up as well as cut down and some of the odor more than if I just hand on a plain diaper as when I’m coming home later at night it might be a couple hours until I can change out of my diaper that I just made a big turd and my girlfriend likes it better if I wear the plastic pants as it reduces some of the odor that she gets annoyed with, but she always knows I make in my diaper in the evening when we’re together . It’s only when we’re out with her friends or other friends, I’ll stop at the toilet to make . But when I’m just with her I always in the late evening wherever we’re coming back from make a big turd in my diaper . So the plastic pants help definitely make the diaper more secure and help with cutting down on somewhat of unpleasant odor
Lilboydiaper Posted Wednesday at 11:57 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:57 AM I wear plastic pants over my diapers more often than not. They have literally saved my butt a handful of times. Better be safe than sorry.
DiaperboyEddie12 Posted Wednesday at 12:42 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:42 PM @Joe323 When I buy my regular diapers yes I will wear plastic pants and a onesie.
Rachael-Little Posted Wednesday at 02:44 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:44 PM Yes I will now and again but not often
foreverdl Posted Wednesday at 05:11 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:11 PM I don't trust any diaper, sooner or later they will leak, so I wear plastic pants 24/7 1
Little Sherri Posted Wednesday at 07:14 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:14 PM I always wear plastic pants with cloth diapers, obviously, but I don't wear cloth diapers that often - I find them too bulky for wearing in public, and I haven't implemented a cloth diaper pail, the way I have a disposable diaper bin, so when I take them off, they have to go into the wash pretty much immediately. I may look at implementing a more comprehensive cloth diaper infrastructure in the future, to save money on disposables. I was trying to wear cloth at least one or two days a week, but my travel schedule keeps interrupting that initiative. I don't like leaving on a trip, with plastic pants and diapers in the wash cycle, because then other people have to transfer them to the dryer, fold them, etc. Plastic pants over disposables are a different story. I probably should wear plastic pants over disposables all the time, because they provide an extra layer of insurance, from both leaks, and odours. However, in the summer, I find that setup gets a bit warm, and I often work from home, which means I am on safe ground, so I'm not as concerned about the consequences of an inadvertent leak. I also have a weird hang-up, where I am fine with wearing a diaper in front of my wife, but I get a bit self-conscious about plastic pants. So, I will put plastic pants over a disposable if I know I have a long timeline ahead of me where I have to stay in the same diaper, and a leak would be inconvenient, which is far from all the time. One situation where I've learned the hard way that I have to wear plastic pants is at night, if I'm staying over at a friend's place, or in a hotel, and if beer has been involved. I spent a night recently on high-powered IPA's at a good friend's place, and went to bed in a new disposable and a t-shirt, which usually works fine for me - I wet while I'm sleeping fairly regularly, but usually, my diaper contains it. However, on this fateful night, I peed over the front of the diaper, I think, and soaked the bed, which begat an embarrassing conversation with my buddy. SO, now, whenever I'm not sleeping at home, I wear lined plastic pants over a good disposable.
Marta Posted Wednesday at 07:34 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:34 PM Yes, and night time usually over my thick cloth and boosters I wear two pairs of plastic pants. Don't usually wear disposable in the day but if i do then will wear plastic pants over then. stops any leaks or the diaper falling off if the tabs fail.
Goodnitesboi Posted Wednesday at 10:21 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:21 PM Not all the time but sometimes I'll throw some plastic pants over my diaper.
Badbunny Posted Thursday at 08:28 PM Posted Thursday at 08:28 PM I wear covers over whatever diaper I'm wearing wherever I am. I have a variety of them for different situations and comfort. I don't want to accidentally leak on anything I own and wear let alone things that aren't mine that I can't clean or afford to replace.
Moochie Posted Friday at 08:50 AM Posted Friday at 08:50 AM I am up this morning in a wet and now messy Seni Quatro diaper and Spartan pants. Spartan pants are not plastic pants but waterproof polyester laminated vinyl panties. I like them because they are very light weight, have a little stretch to them, like wearing panties, very comfortable, keeps my wet and soiled diaper from sagging, and of course keeps my bed and clothes dry if I have a leaky diaper. I just checked the inside of my Spartan pants and although my diaper is very wet and poopie this morning, all is good, no leaks, no diaper blow-out. Thank you, Seni!
