It was the summer of 1999 17 year old Rei Takagai was awaiting for her best friend to come over and spend the whole summer with her while her parents were on their aniversery trip

[ It was a chill Saturday in the prefecture of Fukushima...]

Asana Yamamoto, a 17 Year old girl, and the best friend of our protagonist Rei!

The trip throu the lovely countryside was one that took a long time, but non the less was completed...

Asana checks the note Rei gave her.

"...Am i in the right place?" She asked as she looked around to find Rei's home

She would come across a beautiful house that had Reis last name on And it matched the picture Rei had sent on her Polaroid

"Oh... yeah it seems like it"

Asan would nod with a small sigh as she walks towards the house and knocks on the door

*Knock knock*

"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEI-CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! IM HERE!

Rei opened the door and happily hugged her friend “Asana Chan!! You’re finally here and guess what my parents are away we have the whole house to ourselves for the entire summer!” She said happily

Asana's eyes lit up at that

"No way! really?! oh we are going to have so much fun!"

Asana is practically vibrating with excitement

Rei smiled happily “Yeah and they left me enough money for food plus I have all that money I saved from my babysitting jobs so we can go to Movie Palace to rent some movies tonight 

[Pixxut]

"Oh, let me guess we are going to rent a movie with awful acting just to kill time, huh?"

Asana says crossing her arms

[JE PUNK]

Rei puffed her cheeks “No I was thinking renting a couple of scary movies and stay up late

"Mhm... sure a Scary movie, you sure you can handle that?"

Asana teases with a sly grin on her face

[JE PUNK]

Rei gave a pout and puffed up her cheeks “Of course I can handle it I’m not 3 years old anymore.”

[Pixxut]

Asana gives a soft sigh

"Alright alright, calm down"

She says as she puts her hands up in a mock-surrender

"So what are we thinking? American Horror? Japanese Horror? Or what?"

[JE PUNK]

“Thinking American horror thinking either choosing between Scream or going with a classic Friday the 13th.” She told her 

[Pixxut]

"Last time we watched Friday the 13th you were screaching like a little dog whenever Jason appears on screen, but if you want to watch it, who am i to judge?"


Asana says calmly as she crosses her arms

[JE PUNK]

She huffed “Thst was a long time ago I’m much more braver now… then it settled Friday the 13th it is then.”

[Pixxut]

Asana chuckles

"Sure thing, let's see if you don't end up peeing yourself like the last time"

as she grabs her purse

"We should get going"

Rei puffed her cheeks “I’m not in kindergarten anymore and lucky for you I just got my license and a new car.” She said taking her to the garage

"...You got a license? damn"

Asa would scoff crossing her arms as she follows Rei

[JE PUNK]

Rei grinned “well you better hurry before the time we graduate.” She said in a sing sung voice before grabbing her purse “Oh shoot I think I left the blockbuster membership card near the book case could you run and get it 

[Pixxut]

"Im on it!"

Asana says as she rushes to grab the blockbuster membership card near said bookcase... however something is odd in there

"...What-"

Asana pauses as she stares at a weird book inside of the bookcase... it's a purple-ish book with red trimming on the sides... the text on it's side similar to... Ancient Japanese? the markings in the front are a little faded...

{"better not touch it for now"} Asana thinks to herself

[JE PUNK]

The book gave off a slight glow when Asana came close to it as if it wanted to reveal its secrets to her while Rei was still outside 

[Pixxut]

"I..... think it's not wise to use this thing..."

Asana would get goosebumps as she sets the book back

"...Maybe later"

she sighs as she grabs what it's needed before making way out oncemore to meet up with Rei

Rei gave her a look “what you get lost you were in there for quite awhile.” She told her as she started up the car 

[Pixxut]

"W-what? oh! oh nononono, nothing like that i just... uh, yeah no nothing don't worry about it" 

Asana replies as she sits on the passenger seat.
Her face sported a faint red-ish blush as she tries to play it off as a classic 'Nothing is wrong, but please stop looking at me'

“If you say so now off to the video store.” She declared raising her hands up before she started to drive off to her local blockbuster
