Dealing with extra anxeity today. Not only do I have to leave the house, but it's too see my shrink. Today is the day I tell him that I stopped taking the klonopin because I don't want to be drug tested all the time like some kind of addict.

Def a diaper day!

Nappies really help my anxiety. I used to have really bad social anxiety and lack of confidence in myself, hated being in big crowds etc, my psych nurse told me to fake self confidence around people and project confidence and doing this really helped me, it helped with me with my catastrophic thoughts like I would think negatively with things I said what I thought made me sound stupid, I’m wasn’t good with fast thinking in conversations, but now I don’t care and have more confidence, also at the time not leaving the house was affecting my mental health in a bad way.

Something similar that has helped me is what I sometimes call WWCKD. You may have heard of that Christian saying a few years back, "What Would Jesus Do" (WWJD) as a way of asking yourself what to do.

For me, a way to help my confidence, I would ask myself, What Would Captain Kirk Do (WWCKD). A way of feeling myself stand up a little straighter and project the strong, confident facade.

Of course, sometimes if I did make a mistake, I would just stand tall, acknowledge the mistake and go home. Then crawl into a diaper and cry my eyes out for a while, so it wasn't perfect.  :(

What would Brian Boitano do?

Hell if I know.

I do know that anxiety sucks.

Well... anxeity won, I skipped the appointment. That's a $100 no-show fee penalty I'll have to pay out of pocket.

Going to talk to my primary to see if he will prescribe my crazy pills since I am haig trouble with the shrink, and am not taking anything controlled or that my Doc doesn't like.

I've finally accepted that to help with my stress and anxiety as an adult, nappies give me that escape, safe space where.....who cares I'm in a nappy!!

Diapers are the reason I manage to go outside.

But they are also the reason why I don't go outside, mainly when it's soaked, and it should be changed, but it's a waste to do so.

Recommend glycine or  theanine.  Sometimes I will add  ashwaghanda and/or gaba.

Hope your doctor can help you. anxiety is a bitch. diapers definitely can help! Stuffed animals can help too but alas, adults carrying stuffed animals isn't very normalized in our society. ☹️

Just remember you're not alone in anxiety issues. I'm no longer under a doctor's care for it, but even simple things like having an appointment, I have issues. Like waking up 2 or 3 times the night before. But even several days before hand, it pops into my head many times, interrupting my day, (<sunday> "Hey, don't forget this week, you have to set your alarm on Thursday"..... <monday> "Don't forget Thursday...  <wednesday> "Hey!! Tomorrow is Thursday...")

Personally, I blame my military service. We had it grilled into our heads constantly, "If you're not on time, you'll be on report." "MIssing movement (when you aren't on board when your ship sets sail) is a court martial offence...  means brig time and up to three month's pay"  Drilled into our heads to the point now that I'm paranoid about being five minutes late for an oil-change appointment, or dinner date with friends, or any trivial appointment.

(and yeah, I'm that guy at work that always came in 45 minutes early, off the clock, and made the first pot of coffee, just because I couldn't stand the thought of being late)

Not military but I am chronically early to everything too. I think its rude to make other people wait, so I wait
