LupintheWolf Posted September 19 Posted September 19 So for context I have dealt with incontince issues for many years and a few years ago I decided to unpotty train myself the rest of the way and choose to be diaper dependent for life. part of what made me decide was for the entire time i decided to haddle my incontince issues with diapers instead of always having to hide it when I had an accident I had basically no support. for the first 4 years i had a situation where my sister who is abdl was accusing me of faking incontince to cover a diaper fetish and my parents belived her until I hade 2 tests done that required probes getting shoved up my pee hole after that it was 3 years of doctors running every test under the sun on me racking up shitloads of medical debt then 3 years ago I decided to say fuck it and go compleatly diaper dependent after the first urologist I saw after I moved out of my home state without any tests or anything tried to suggest I pay $15,000USD to have an expermental device installed in my spine and I told them No. most of the reasoning why i came to this decision is honestly when running the math staying in diapers is way cheaper that gathering shitloads of medical debt for doctors to run the same tests that came up empty handed before. 2
BrownBobby Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Sounds like a good enough reason to me! Though honestly, just wanting to is also a good enough reason for me. It sounds like you know what you're doing - so enjoy it! 1
LupintheWolf Posted September 20 Author Posted September 20 i'm just hoping my sister doesn't decide to make a daily diapers account now that adisc is dead i couldn't post anything on adisc about this without her making my irl life hell because she always has to start shit with people
carsfan Posted September 20 Posted September 20 Your real life situation involving choosing to give up the rest of your potty training sounds entirely reasonable. Your situation also sounds unfortunately complex. I image not many members of one family compromise a member who enjoys diapers out of pleasure and one who needs them for need. I hope you make a decision that works for you

That's why I say good riddance to that site

JustMe.dk Posted September 20 Posted September 20 If you need diapers, and they help you then go for it. No need to seek validation or approval from others. The story about your sister who is an ABDL, and her reaction towards you sound very weird to me. 1

I am not sure if the admin can block her from seeing your postings etc, thats an admin question..

ryan8710 Posted September 21 Posted September 21 It not wierd at all, I untrained my self to be U-IC because I was in a car accident 7 years ago and had PTSD from it and I started dreaming about wetting the bed but I'd wake up 2-3 times a night just in time so I tired a diaper and I was hooked after the best sleep after, then all of a sudden last year I decide that it wasn’t a big deal and started to wear during the day time too so now a year later im U-IC 247 wearer and all my friends and family know as well as ive been diagnosed by a few doctors from the urology of alberta hospital now I don't look back diapers are just my daily underwear 😊 1

Partially yup, between the PTSD and the mental side of things its been always more comfortable to wear diapers but then also I have a partially collapsed spinal cord in my neck that is also cutting down on circulation from my lower disc's so there are times that I could wet and not even know it till it happening
longislandguy Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Not weird at all. I’m doing it too and have never had a medical issue
keyman419 Posted September 23 Posted September 23 I can totally understanding not wanting to be in medical debt. That's just a terrible place to be so congratulations on taking control of your own healthcare and doing what's right for you. There are a lot who just accept whatever the community says even if it could cause a lowered quality of life. In the end, there's nothing wrong with wearing diapers and can even provide some advantages at times. Not sure why incontinence is so appealing to me but I am euphoric when I use a stent and have zero control and dribble 24/7. Been considering surgery to finish the deed. My therapist actually told me this is a way to take control of ones life by doing what is right for them. Yes, it doesn't conform to society norms but that doesn't matter when one is in control of their own life. I've been very happy with my nullification and the results of that. Keep up the great work and live your life for yourself and no one else. Embrace what's right for you and don't look back. The world would be a better place if more did that.
longislandguy Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Keyman is right. Do what makes you happy. I want to have zero control. That is my choice. I feel as though that should be my natural state. I've put myself permanently back in diapers anyway and it feels correct......it feels like that's how I'm supposed to be...an incontinent man for life. I'm not scheduling a surgery yet, but the idea has been growing. It's not the standard, but in the end, it's my choice, as it is yours. 1
babykeiff Posted September 23 Posted September 23 @LupintheWolf do what makes you happy. From a medical perspective, the two feilds, (1) urology - bladder etc issues and (2) gastroentrologist - bowel etc issues are seperate. As a result, usually neither talk to each other in relation to bladder & bowel control and prefer to use surgical intervention to put in tubes and bags to deal with what they will not talk to each other about. The medical expert you require is a neurologist (nerve expert) - There is a loop within the spinal cord that connects the nervous impulses from an expanding bladder to the motor neurons that trigger the relevant sphincters to relax while constricting the bladder walls. During toilet training, one learns to intervene in this loop which allows bladder control. Similar exists for bowel control. Since neither of these three experts consider a diaper dependent paitent as a medical success (after all, one does not make money if your paitent choses diapers instead of multiple medical exams and tests) it is in their interest, and definetely not yours, to bleed you dry of your hard earned money. If you cost it out, 3 adult diapers per 24 hours at the rough cost of $/€1 per diaper equates to $/€1,000 per year. Average lifespan is 73.3 years, where most of us are 25+ (some are a little older), which means 50 odd years in diapers at a cost of $/€50,000. That is still less expensive than most medical procedures, where even the cost of stoma bags cost $/€100+ per week as compared to diapers at $/€21 per week. Mathematically, if one chooses cloth overnight to supplement your disposable day usage, the costs drop to $/€0.30 per diaper. Add to this the advantages of using diapers instead of toilets (safer, cleaner, healthier, less stress, better & deeper sleep, more comfort +++), and the reason to be potty trained in the first place becomes more of a requirement of a limited societial view rather than for the health and welfare of the person being trained. There is the aroma to deal with, but that can easily be handled by internal deodrants similar to Nullo.
LupintheWolf Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 so i've made progress i have been waking up wet all week 1

In my case, I spent years going to urologists and trying every kind of medication out there—always dealing with nasty side effects. And at the end of the day, nothing worked. My overactive bladder kept contracting on its own and I’d lose control anyway. At some point I thought: why keep fighting something that only makes me miserable? I decided to adapt and go with diapers full-time. Now I just let out little spurts throughout the day, the diaper fills slowly, and I almost never deal with leaks. Honestly, best decision I could have made. Living 24/7 in diapers turned out way cheaper (and way less stressful) than wasting money, health, and energy on endless “fixes” that never actually worked. 3

I couldn't have said it better myself it honestly is a waste of time and money to go to several doctors appointments just to have them not come up with a "fix" that either does nothing or makes matters worse. Is better to just accept diaper dependency

It took me some time to adjust to my new life needing diapers, however I did adjust and accept it, and for the most part try and and see the positives about diapers. one big positive is, no longer do I need to worry about my bladder contraction at the most inconvenient places, my diaper takes care of it.
