How do diapers affect your anxiety? Do they calm you? Does the guilt and fear of being caught cause more anxiety? Or do they have no affect at all?

I think I'm happier and calmer wearing them, but they do make me nervous about being noticed by others. I guess it would average out to 0, but I do think it feels more positive!

I had to check the neutral box. Diapers for me induce a completely care-free feeling. I can be doing anything, vacuuming the carpets, washing up the dishes, anything. I like the freedom of being unconcerned with going to the bathroom, because I'm wearing my bathroom. I'll concern myself with changing or clean-up when it suits me.

Diapers help with my anxiety. I'm much calmer and happier in diapers. I'm careful to keep my diaper concealed (yay for onesies to keep shirts from riding up and helping with diaper sag. Fall is around the corner so sweater weather is coming up. One of my favorite fall outfits- a onesie, a jean skirt, and a cozy cardigan. ). Since I take precaution to keep my diapers covered and mitigate the chances of accidental diaper exposure, I'm not very anxious about someone seeing my diapers.

I think at least part of the reason I’m doing “this” is to redefine my relationships with diapers. As a kid, I loved wearing them, and when I was home and safe, they made me very relaxed. But they caused tremendous, sometimes paralyzing anxiety, depending on the situation. As an adult, I wanted to get back the joy, and euthanized as much of the anxiety as I could. So now, diapers mostly “treat” my anxiety, and only rarely cause any.

When I was young diapers took away anxiety and gave it to me. I felt calm and relaxed in them then felt bad for liking them too. Scared I would get caught then. Now they relax me and if I get caught I'll see their funny looks. LOL

They do calm me once I've settled into wareing them and get into the mindset. Though if I'm out in public or around people I don't know,  I am very concous and anxious it will be noticed

If everything is working as intended, then it's one of the only things that can actually relax me when I'm a certain kind of stressed, but I have a lot of nerves surrounding it so circumstances have to be good

The relief of being in nappies is huge for me.  Initially, when I was trying out wearing decades ago, the feelings of guilt and apprehension were considerable. So was the excitement.  I needed time to get used to wearing, and gradually things settled down.  Eventually I realised I was calmer and happier in a nappy.  And in the end, after I'd retired, stopped being a runner and after the kids went off to college, I knew being nappied full-time was the only way for me to go. A few years on and I'm totally relaxed in nappies and can't imagine any other way to live. Get padded, stay padded!

The only argument for adding to anxiety is if someone comes by unexpectedly. But even then ive done this for so long I know how to quickly change or cover up and make an excuse. Now if that happens its more annoying than anxiety inducing

On the fence and depends where or what I am doing.  Driving perhaps may cause some: worried about getting into an accident and being found out.  If I am out and about in a big city with no bathroom, it helps relive anxiety.     At home, no problem.

They used to relieve anxiety when I'd only wear them at home when I felt safe.

They added anxiety when I started wearing them out and about - I felt like everyone would be able to tell.

Now I'm 24/7 for over a year they are neutral anxiety wise - but I know I'd feel incredibly anxious if I tried to go without them. It's not worth that anxiety for me so I'm staying in them. Being in them feels "right".
