DailyDi Posted September 17 Posted September 17 In the morning routines thread it seems most of us start the day with a cup of coffee. So, how do you take it? I've got a sweet tooth, I like mine with Caramel creamer - an all-natural creamer, usually Starbucks or Dunkin, None of that coffee-mate oil and water nonsense. 3
Little Sherri Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I like those sweetened creamers as well, but I try to save them for the weekends. I usually take it black with a teaspoon of sweetener, most mornings. I used to be a Canadian standard Double Double guy - double cream, double sugar, preferably in a Tim Horton's large, original coffee, not the dark roast, because although I like darker coffees at places like Starbucks, at Tim's, the dark roast misses the mark, and I crave the original. However, I am trying not to drink 200 calories coffees, these days - I take my liquid calories in the form of beer. 1
PassiveRenegade Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Typical English person here, strong tea with milk for me. 3
oliver d Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Very strong black coffee with one sugar and then most of the time I don't drink a other one for the rest of the day. 1
tgrdpr Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Hah! I admit I thought this thread would be much more serious than it is! I make a disgustingly sweet coffee, about 3/4 coffee and 1/4 cold milk with simple syrup. I love the idea of those fancy creamers, but hate the filmy taste the oil products leave on my tongue. 1
Dubious Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I mostly take it black, then I add some water or milk to cool it down so it's drinkable. 1
rusty pins Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I only had one cup of coffee I ever liked. I was 17 and on a 6 week tour of Europe with an international band. I don't think I'll fly back to Luxemburg to get another one, even after 50 years if they still make that coffee and I could remember where it was I got it. When I get cold on a winter morning or winter day, I may make a mug of sugar free hot chocolate. 1
foreverdl Posted September 17 Posted September 17 back when I was working I, I drank ice coffee, I made it myself, I made a pot for the thermos and a a k cup or so to filll up my big iced coffee with creamer, I then by noon went to the office of the oilfield I worked in to refill everything, and had more coffee after I did the 2hr drive home. But now yrs later I do have 2-3 cups a day to get awake, with some of that fake creamer, I have tried a lot of coffees but I do like Farmers , a local restaurant uses it and I like there coffee and found from a waitress what it was, so I make my own, thanks to Amazon and a $60,,, 5 pound bag. But it last me a while.. 1
Cute_Kitten Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I'm an absolute java junkie and I like my bougie-bitch coffees. I have an espresso machine, milk steamer, and a frother so I can make macchiatos, capuccions, lattes, etc at home. 1
AbabeBill Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I like it dark, a drop of half & half, stopping putting sugar in a while back. But I never put much sugar in anyway, less than a quarter teaspoon. 99% of the time, I home brew in an old school, double Silex stainless steel vacuum pot. Photo is of a glass pot. I have one of those too, but won’t risk using it.
lill-Mac Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Siphon balance brewed Coffee with a splash of Kahlua watching the predawn sky by the firepit 1
CodyBaby Posted September 17 Posted September 17 Coffee best benefits go away when you add anything to your coffee beside water, if you don't like the taste of your coffee when its black, change brands find the flavor you will like when its black with nothing else inside, adding milk or cream remove 80% of the benefits, and adding sugar or any other substance remove 10% of benefits too.
le Hollandais Posted September 17 Posted September 17 I usually take my coffee straight, strong, & black. But once in a while I'll make myself a cappuccino about 2/3 espresso & 1/3 half & half. I found one of these on Ebay
widdlemikey Posted September 18 Posted September 18 As we said in the 'canoe club'... Black and bitter.
tuffy Posted September 18 Posted September 18 I drink it black in the morning with my breakfast, but I add half&half to the last cup of the day after dinner.

Crinklz Kat Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Dang ... a lot of coffee addicts here! I don't drink it. I can't stand the smell of it.
FretaBWet Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Black with nothing extra. Grind beans fresh every morning. Hugs, Freta 2
CodyBaby Posted September 18 Posted September 18 Kcup usually a strong dark flavor, always dark with nothing else added, except if its past noon, then sometimes I add some Tia Maria or another alcohol cream liquor.
