Workplace advice

So today I need to put in my 2 weeks notice at my work, 

Problem is I like the people I work with and I care about how they might feel when I put in my notice. 

1 of my co workers has said on numerous occasions that if she found a different place of work she would jump on it in a heart beat. (She is actively looking too) .

Should I just do It and not care about what they say? Or should I explain myself to them?

The only person in this world who truly is looking out for you is yourself. Do what you need to do to succeed. You shouldn't worry about others. It's you that you need to think about, and if you have a family of course think of them as well. Now having said that don't loose the relationships you've built at work if you think they are still worth having. Try and find ways to hang out outside of work or keep in touch through the phone or messages. But in all seriousness chase the new jobs if you think it will elevate you out of hardship.
