Davidevens87 Posted June 4 Posted June 4 I went to the Metallica show, got home around midnight and sat in the kitchen with my wife who was still up and shared a pizza. I drank beer throughout the show and while I was not hammered I had a good buzz going on. She decided to sleep in the guest room knowing I was going to snore because I had drank. Ive been wearing a diaper to bed the past 2 weeks and last night I did not, was too tired to even try, hit the bed and immediately fell asleep. Woke up at 5:30 soaked, the one time I didn’t wear a diaper… this was my first real accident in over 20 years. I’m still dumbfounded that it happened considering how many times I’ve been in similar condition, worn protection, and woke up dry the next day. so glad my wife decided to sleep in the guest room. 3

I still remember like it was this morning, the first time I woke up in a wet bed I didn't intend to create. The first moments were confusion: why was everything around me cold and wet? Then there was that strange alloy of excitement tinged with horror at the realisation of what I had done to myself. 4
liljim57 Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I remember how it feels to wake up to a wet bed. It took a few minutes for it to hit my foggy brain. 2
WBxx Posted June 10 Posted June 10 I too remember. A long dry childhood bed-wetter, never in my wildest dreams did I think it would ever happen again. Then one morning during my nineteenth summer I woke to the sensation of dampness beneath me. First thought was sweat, but so much. Checking further … the yellow ringed stain along with the aroma left no doubt, I wet the bed! Initial shock gave way to a mixture of excitement and fear of telling mom. Excitement I quickly took care of, mom was not so easy. Hard to believe, but it took a couple more wet beds before I linked my accidents to falling asleep with gut full of beer. Drinking / wetting the bed became a practice I repeated over and over in the following years as I slowly regressed back to regular bedwetting without alcohol. 2

I remember being horrified when waking up wet when I was young and feeling too embarassed to tell my mom I wet the bed again. But as I got older and my bedwetting started to combine with other needs I couldnt disconnect the two. My accidents slowed to a trickle by the time I reached mid puberty but I kept the rubber sheet on my bed until I was 17. And then in my mid 40s I had to start to use mattress protection again.
