How it all started

I am Irish and I'm a very happy ABDL. It wasn't always the case though. I Accepted who I was years ago bit can still struggle from time to time but who doesn't really.

I think for me it all started when I was around 6 or 7. I remember wanting to be put back into diapers. Like many I didn't know much about ABDL. When I was around 10 or 11 we got the Internet at home. Dial up back then. So slow and had to unplug the phone to access the Internet. There I found a website which is still around, adult baby source (name has changed since). I remember getting old towels and making diapers out of them 😂

When I got older and started to work and make some money I bought some pampers and made a make shift diaper. Few years later I bought really adult diapers and cute AB design diapers and onesie.

Like so many struggled to make sense of it all. Why I was like this and binge and purge a few times. I lost some really nice stuff that I bought but I thought at the time dumping it all would help me to get over it and move on. Little did I know that all I would be doing it making it worse. Trying to bottle up my little self and suppress it would only harm me. I would be angry and annoyed at everything. Don't get me wrong I still can be 😅 but there are always a reason now when that happens. Back then there was no reason, I would just be angry. When I gave in and bought more diapers and wore, I would feel happy, then after cumming in them I would be discussed with myself.

I dated someone and told them about me been an ABDL. I didn't want to hide anything from them. That didn't go well 😟 We didn't break up right away but she was having none of it. That made me very depressed over the time we dated. I left and travelled to Canada.

It was there that I read a book that I want to say was written by Pamper Penny that helped my understand that I shouldn't be ashamed of myself and accept who I am. It's not hurting anyone, other than myself for trying to bottle up my little side. Finding sites like this one here and fetish.com also helps. Known that there are many others out there all going through how I felt and feel.

Have you a story you want to share?

I think many here have similar story, I also questioned myself wanting to be in diapers and regress but I finally decided it’s ok and as you say not hurting anyone.

Being trans is also another story of acceptance but who said life was easy

The earliest memory I have of anything vaguely ABDL was when my brother was born, I was intrigued by a pack of his nappies. I remember unfolding one, looking at it, feeling it. I folded it back and put it back in the pack. I strongly believe there was something driving me to do that - it wasn't just random curiosity.

Fast forward to my teens and I'd take the opportunities when my parents went out for an evening to wear makeshift nappies. I'd fold together soft bath towels and wear them, wet them and have them washed and dried before they came back. Whatever was going on for me in my psyche at the time meant nappies conflated with sexual development and I found them a huge turn-on. I once plucked up the courage to go and buy a pack of the largest junior nappies I could find. The feel of them against my skin created waves of pleasure.

I got to move away and at that time, online ordering was just becoming a thing so I was able to buy proper adult medical nappies, Molicare Maxi. It took an awfully long time to accept it though and went through several binge and purge cycles. I would have sudden attacks of shame thinking "what the hell am I doing"? Of course, it never went away over the decades and I eventually came to accept wearing them for psychological comfort. I found regression to be healing to the point where I am now, where I don't need it as much at all as I used to. Part of me feels a little sad about it but also highlights me becoming a healthier adult, after a lot of therapy. I might have worn chronically before instead of facing important issues in my life.

So, yeah, I'm in a strange kinda place with it right now but maybe I've evolved just to not need it for compulsive soothing any more and I doubt it'll vanish. It'll always be a part of me. It's just that I wear only if I really want / need to now.
