~Brian~ Posted February 6, 2025 Posted February 6, 2025 The company put the returned diaper back into circulation, prompting a scathing review that haunts the sellers to this day. https://getpocket.com/explore/item/amazon-sold-a-used-diaper-it-tanked-a-mom-and-pop-business?utm_source=firefox-newtab-en-us The question I have is: WHY would someone return a USED Diaper, whether it be a Cloth/AIO or a disposable diaper? This article tells of that situation. If someone sells a DIAPER that has been used as it is supposed to be used, then does NOT clean it up, of COURSE people would be disgusted - Don't know why this happened, as there are certain things that should NOT be returnable, this being one of them. Crinklz Kat Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 I have yet to ever see any store that will accept returns on diapers - either cloth or disposable. I didn't read the article, but seeing Amazon in the title, I will put the blame solely on them. Amazon's return policies are so generous that it invites fraud and abuse.
dfw4ever Posted March 13, 2025 Posted March 13, 2025 Yup, 100% Amazon's fault. "Amazon.com Inc. has committed to inspecting each return for issues before reselling it." They didn't look at it nor let the seller determine if the returned item should be sent back out. It's not uncommon to buy used cloth diapers from other parents in local groups, I see it all the time, but this is much different. 1
