Received a new cuddle buddy today

It's been nearly a year wait, but he's finally here!   This is my Plushlife "Winston" cuddle dragon - I've named him Stromberg (inside joke with myself).    Here he is cuddling with my small tiger that's pretty big for a plushie in his own right.

That's one of their trademarks.  The eyes are embroidered.    I also have the snow leopard they released in 2018.

 

Wish I had got at least one of the others.  They're quite expensive if you buy one as they're released, but try to get one second hand and it can be significantly more than the original price (as in thousands!)  A new project should be coming very soon - hoping for another big kitty.

If you don't mind, what was the ballpark pricing on it with their preorders? That's really cool! (The snow leopard was quite the design, that one's cute!)

Regular one.  It was 899 Euro, then tack on the shipping, so 990.  Then there's the exchange rate.    The giant one was over 2000 Euro.

The snep (snow leopard) is even bigger!   And I don't recall a "large" version available back then.    This is her on a queen bed.   I found the cover on the Kohls web site and had to have it.

I bought one of the 7ft tall bears (I call him pipsqueak) and can confirm, its like having a plushie, needy spouse when it comes to bed space being at a premium

Another giant cuddle buddy should be on the way soon.   This one from Creep Cat Toy Co.  Been nearly 2 months waiting.  Another giant kitty, this time a cougar.  If you visit the link, you'll see the pictures of the snow leopard they made as their prototype.  But everything else was just fabric swatches... until recently (literally some time this week) when this guy showed up on the page.  🥰   I suspect I was the first to order one (unless there were orders for more snow leopards before me), and it's not like I even ordered as soon as the announcement was made.   I ordered mine unstuffed (to save some $$$ and make shipping easier), so now I need to order the stuffing so it'll already be here when he arrives.

 @Crinklz Kat:  Interesting.  A US based manufacturer of large plushies.  I’m interested in seeing your opinion on your purchase, comparing to your Plush Life stuffies.

They seem to have a good following (like 20k on twitter alone).  Unlike Plushlife, they don't operate on 1-project-at-a-time.  But I'll be sure to show a side-by-side comparison with my snep.  Also ... "manufacturer" is a bit of a stretch.  The plushies are hand-made.

I couldn't resist!    Dragon's Den Fursuits just announced a 6ft dragon plushy! 

And it's quite reasonable cost-wise too!    She's the one that released the dragon blanket I bought last year.   It's still available on her Etsy shop as are smaller versions of the dragon plushy.

I figure sometime I’m going to break down and get a big stuffed cat, preferably in the tigger category.  However this one the eyes don’t do it for me.
