Sissy Events?

Yeah, they is Little Sissy - more frilly than me, no lisping acting and but bit more "full on" around attire than us are but otherwise fine as I did see them at the Dolly Party event a few years back.

They're respected.

Much of what we see online is the other I agree and we'd run a mile from that at anything we'd want to be at.

Are there any Sissy ABDL events anywhere? Is CapCon Sissy friendly? OK to wear GIANT pink dresses?

In a serious answer to your question, there are many ABDL events and I would be surprised if ANY of them excluded sissies.  BUT!!!!!!!  everyone attending an event must follow the organizers rules and in many cases if the event is in public that includes Clothing suitable for the public that doesn't draw undue attention.  So at capcon you can wear the most glorious big pink dress you can imagine, but at the Friday night littles bowling party that means don't.

I talked to and read about event organizers who claim that sissies have caused problems by showing up in their frocks and tights, but then claim that's just their normal street wear.  Then you could make an entire argument about the complete collapse of standard when it comes to modern clothing.  For example, a young man  could wear pretty much the exact clothes that a toddler wears including a diaper hidden under their long baggy basketball shorts, and any licensed character T-shirt and it would be completely fine.

That kind of shoots down ValentineStuff's claim that Sissies do not ageplay. or you are mixed LG/'sissy, though I do not know how that works. However many of the GirlTAlk To girls had separate AB lives, which I think would be cumbersome as it is, by their implicit definitions, contradictory. There is another explanation put forth by Joanne in "On LG". Many LG's, having been called sissies in their younger days simply accept the label, not realizing there is a real difference. This makes sense to me. That is why I ask a person if they are, in fact sissies, givien what the lifestyle is, as attested to by what the vast majority of sissies themselves say and reflected in the sissy sites (M place, not being one, is to observe and catalog, I give no input save as an analysit/reporter) or if they would be happier as an LG. Joanne, having been a more socially active LG has more credibi8lity than I do as she has more real-world experience and is a good analyist at it as well. My experience is mostly from  reading Sissy sites, sissy lit and sissy posts, with some contact that usually ends as I have described. A sissy, qua sissy, would not be "at home" at a dolly dea party. If you read my blog entry "The Making of a Little Girl", you would understand how come I spent much of my time among little girls my own age. So you would understand how I know that

I never said Sissies don't ageplay, I said many if not most don't ageplay. Don't make claims about what I wrote, if the claims aren't correct.

Most Sissies are NOT into age play

If most sissies are not into ageplay and are completely adult, thenageplay is not an integral part of Sissy. So, sissies qua sissies do not ageplay. So, a sissy who ageplays is leading a double life as did the LG's who lived an ABDL life that did not match who they were as an LG. And if most sissies are adults then ageplay would be contradictory to them as sissies. As to "little sissies" I do not know what the narrative would be or how it would work

I've run into Sissy ABs, Sissy Brides, Sissy Maids, Sissy Diaper Maids, Sissy LGs, Sissies of all sorts. Some ageplay, some do not. It's not an either/or situation. Just like a DL and an AB, most likely they are both interested in diapers, but not age play.

I don't understand why you are not getting the point.

Some examples of "little sissies" starting at youngest and working up in age (some overlap):

Infant: thick diapers, frilly diaper cover, high waisted short skirted frilly dress, maryjanes.

Toddler: similar to infant but adding "pageant dress", flower girl dresses,

Little Girl: flower girl dresses, fancy party dresses, first communion dresses, Catholic schoolgirl dresses, ballet outfits.

Teen Girl: will add lingerie, more adult style dresses, prom gowns,

As to a narrative, the "setup" can vary, but usually involves a "wimpy" mane who is forced by a dom into becoming a surrogate sissy "daughter" for revenge, cuckolding, theft, inability to get pregnant, wants a permanent child, for fun, or just love. In some cases it's just that the individual loves the feel and look of the style of clothes, and may or may not be caught and "forced" to dress and act that way.

For some there will be sexual elements such as cuckolding, Femdom, Maledom, or pretend dom. For some it's just the way they like to be, they want to be ultra feminine and not adult.

Doesn't everyone have their own take on why they're themselves and what they are looking for from being, actually bringing to an  event?

I get it. What I am saying is those are secondary, although maid goes with Sissy quite a bit,  Something that most of any category does not to is incidental, not an integral, essential or ncessary part of the main category, which is why I wrote "sissie qua sissies". Where it can be confusing is that many of the same accoutrements are shared between LG's and sissies. However, they do not have the same meaning. Also the statement that most sissies do not ageplay supports my thesis that Sissy is not rooted in ABDL. If it were, at least half and problably half again would exhibit ABDL, mostly ABAK attributes. So any resemblence is superficial or secondary. This is based on aquarter century of online experience: with sissy sites, sissy posts and threads, sissy  lit and LG-sissy relation, including their reactions when they understand me more than just superficially. I go by a simple rule, what a thing or person DOES is a function of what or who they are

I accept your observations and statements, I just interpret them differently based on observation and experience

Now, I am still curious about what sissy events would be and consist of

CapCon was sissy friendly for sure! Definitely in the hotel. I guess other Sissy Friendly events would be any sort of CosPlay event. Harajuku in Tokyo is a space where you could dress sissy, though I only saw what looked like sis females doing this. Granted that was 15 years ago. It would be cool to have a sissy friendly event which is why I was asking.

I was once watching one of my favorite photography youtubers who was testing out a camera at an anime con.  He spotted a guy cosplaying as a french maid and secretly recorded him and dedicated some time to his video making fun.  It really ticked me off, but that would be the risk you take when you dress up in public.

I've only been to a few events and one of them was a private campground take over with no dress code.  No one dressed Sissy, several guys walking around in just ABDL diapers, several girls in onesies and there were several trans women in regular girl clothes, which is what I went with.  It would have been perfectly OK to dress Sissy, but that would have been really hard since there half the people were in regular street clothes.

I love dressing SIssy, but I think I could only do it if it was a very private event and everyone was at least dressed in some little way.

Most costume conventions have rules against photos and videos without permission.

What does it mean to "dress sissy"? The only thing I can identify as that is a kind of babydoll where the panties  or diaper shos. Many of the dresses I see on Ebay labelled 'ab sissy" would be fine LG dresses

Also, I wish to cear up what I mean be "event". As differntiated by calling the whole thing an "event" I mean the activities that go on. For example, an LG weekend "camp", usually held in the US at Rainbow Resort, would featrue a number of activities such as a fashion show, tea party, dolly fashion show, discussion groups or even a make-up session for the "older" LG's (since some include age 12 - 15 in that designation. I generally top it off at 11). That is along with the non-gender specific things like sight-seeing walks and things like that. Also the dealers room may have different items for Sissies than for LG's. We also have different "themes" even among Traditional girls. Alice, Shirley Temple, Little Bo Peep, Early amd <odd;e 20th Century, Little Orphan Annie, varying degress of fairy and princess

So definitely a matter of opinion and since we are discussing events then I would say that the only opinion that really matters is the event host.  So after taking a moment and looking at results when I looked up ab sissy dress on ebay in my opinion almost none of those dresses would be appropriate for any adult and all but the youngest children to wear in a public setting where costumes are not expected.  I know that many of them feature longer bodices and skirts and are definitely "LG" dresses and not "AB" but that really doesn't matter in my opinion.  When I say inappropriate I definitely don't mean immoral, as the definition is "Not suitable for the circumstances."

It gets very difficult to define dressing Sissy because there are actually tons of different versions of sissy, many outside the ABDL and Ageplay domain.  For example, some people might consider any form of cross dressing to be "sissy" but many in the cross dressing community see sissy as being anyone who is weak, ultra-fem, over the top and generally look down upon it.  Most popular definitions of sissy in the fetish world seem to focus more on the sexual and submissive side of sissies.

After doing more research on the term I'm finding myself very much in disagreement with the way the fetish community defines sissy and the way that I believe most of us who are for lack of a better term diaper sissys or ab sissys would consider ourselves.

"I think a good general way to define Sissy would be something like this.   dressing and acting in female way that looks to draw attention to and over-emphasizes traditional feminine aspects of presentation.

One other interesting observation, many of the ab sissy dresses would be right at home at a square dance.

So getting back to the root of the question, most events fall in 2 categories, private or public, and in most public events the last thing desired is to draw attention to the group, especially since I keen observer may notice that everyone in the group seems to have puffy pants and crinkles when they walk.

The only place I would disagree with you is in the paragraph "dressing and acting in female ways...". Many LG's, such as I, are uber-fem in dress and persona. This is for several reasons: 1) to make the best use of limited time en petite fille. 2) so that other LG's know we are "in the club"; i.e. bona fide. 3) a certain amount of competitiveness and wishing to stand out as girls and 4) That is how we feel. Femininity is not just an abencd of masculinity. It is an active state of being. If you look at the top row of pictures in my signature, you will see man items that are part of my life as a little girl. Also there is the "L" in "LG". When I am en petite fille I wear only dresses, skirts or babydlolls as these are percieved  as, and for the most part: 95%, are uniquly feminine. When I was at GirlTalk To, there was one way I was remarkably different from the other LG's. It was stories. In 95% of the others' stories, the main character underwent a change into a girl that was unwanted originall, then adapted to. In mine, she always was a girl

What I have seen of sissy lit is dripping with what most would consider very nasty sexual activity and with an emphasis on forced submissiveness and what I have seen in the Sissy Room backs that up with some support in the sissy sites

Incidentally, you have a wonderfully British or Mid-American, quite LG name

We belong to any play event so long as we play by their rules and don't give others attending "the ick", dressing as we feel enjoying all that is taking place and that we ourselves are prepared to contribute to.

In 2026 we do things as we feel, mixing pasts and parts of the present that just work.
